The way Moyes was sacked is disgusting. However, in reality he probably deserved to be sacked sooner. I think he was let down massively by the board for allowing us to not spend any money except on Fellani. The board should have insisted we buy players because it was obvious the team desperately needed big signings and you have to back your new manager. Likewise, Moyes has to take responsibility for also not insisting we sign players.

Don't really buy Moyes' take on this and he omitts quite a bit of the reality of the situation at that time. People forget just how badly they were playing under him. He had an ageing squad that needed to be rejuvenated, absolutely, but he also had united playing in such a dyer, predictable way. Think that fact has been lost in the shuffle. Even with the ageing squad also, to finish 7th or 8th was still well below what should be expected from a title winning team. How he was dismissed was shameful from United's point of view but the public consensus was at the time that the sacking itself was inevitable. History seems to have a slightly rewritten on that fact. He'd also completely lost the dressing room. He had to go.

I agree, look at the job Arteta or Ten Hag has done in rebuilding a team in need of a face lift. I remember Man United fans were all pious when he came. “The chosen one” “We give our managers time” but when shot cam to shove they showed what an absolute entitled arrogant base they really were. Horrible football club.

You deserved to be sacked much sooner. You instantly transformed a champion side which had won the premier league by 11 points into a mid table mess. You sacked the backroom staff and you destroyed the club so much it's curse has lingered for a decade. Ten Hag is the only one after Moyes that I have some faith in.

Let down? What a load of Bollocks! He was completely out of his depth and only got the job because he was Fergie's scottish pal.

Blah, blah, blah. Give it a rest Dave, you came, you saw, you failed! Spectacularly so and you were rightly sacked, if anything United were too supportive of him and he was given too much time. Had the trigger been pulled before Christmas when he was obviously out of his depth the season might have been salvaged somewhat.

Very much doubt it tbh. In this day and age, constantly in the worldwide media spotlight. No disrespect to the blue half of Merseyside but it's a MASSIVE difference going from Everton to Man Utd.
