As far as I could tell, this affecting performance hasn't been posted by anyone else. I'm sorry that the HD version is no longer available because of the copyright police.
There are no harmonies like Stevies and Lindsay's. Two puzzle pieces fit so perfectly together. They were so young when they met. Built something together only people can dream of. Gave us all so much !
This is my most favorite song by Buckingham and no matter how many times I listen to it I cannot get enough. His vocals are amazing and his finger picking style on the guitar is spectacular.
Stevie Nicks is always really tasteful. This was Lindsey's thing and I think she was just being respectful of not taking too much of the spotlight. Pure class.
I prefer the Buckingham Nicks so far I’ve listen to online) plus of course FM White Album ,then MY PERSONAL FAVE RUMOURS! They shone like diamonds! Though they were tearing each other apart personally !🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️💔💔💔💔

Brilliant, how can you just not admire Lindsey on the guitar, he's only person I know can make the guitar sing so well, like a part of his body. Favourite guitarist and artist of all time for me.
What is SO unfair is that if you ask most people to name Top 10 Best Rock guitarists chances are Lindsey’s name won’t be there - not because he’s not incredible but because people think of his talents as a Songwriter and Singer, same with the incredible Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits, one of the greatest guitarists EVER! For sure Clapton, Hendrix, Harrison, Eddie Van Halen were Greats, but these guys belong up there too!!
There is this performance that we see as the audience, and then there is the silent emotional performance between these two that we will never know or understand. They have such a long twisted and intertwined personal relationship that it cannot be easy to keep playing together whether it is as part of FM or as a duet as solo artists. Of all the songs in the FM catalog.....this is what they pick? “Never Going Back Again”. But yet as we see here, they do.
I think this was Lindsey touring on his own. He explained how he made the song. And he wanted to be sung with Stevie because of how deep it explains what he was going thru in 1987
What I love about Lindsey is, he never plays it the same way twice in a row. He plays it as he feels it. He is an incredible performer. I wonder how he would’ve gotten along with Peter?
What can you say? Their expressions at the start says it all. Trepidation....memories of a time together... But let's be in the moment and play this song -- which is us -- and make it a moment for everyone. A gracious ode to love and it's memory that tugs at the heart.
He told the media that she still loves him just last week! I bet they still love each other deeply but each one lives their own life. My first love was so very special and I think of him fondly. But I could never go back to him!! When they perform together I can see the amazing love in their eyes. This is a love storey like no other, they make such beautiful music together!! I'm in awe!
Darn right about that! The amount of fugging around they did and the drugs they put up their noses sure was one of kind. Her nose had sniffed so much coke the doctor said her nose would fall off if she didn't stop. Lindsey was kicked out of the band because of his constant fighting with Stevie. Sounds like a great love doesn't it!
has there ever been such a public history between two people on stage before? factor in the songwriting, the recordings... amazing. Very special. Very ADMIRABLE! Music!
He is one of the more underrated musicians of our time. So many great songs. She is a complete singer. Despite her many awesome lead vocal songs, and there are many, I think she is one of the best background, accompaniment and harmony vocalists ever.
Eight people don't recognize good music apparently and this song has been blessing my ears since I was born in 85. Thanks mom and dad for raising me on REAL music!!!!!
if there's one band that i took for granted during those decades of being young fast smart dumb particular to the point of peculiar, and reckless, all at the same time....it was Fleetwood Mac. What a blessing to grow up with such great music and without even having to ask.
+Jessika O'Brien That song was written for her spacifically. As was the rest of Rumors about everyone in the band. Such professionalism to still feel it.
@@kieranhassett5862 I agree. Knowing that Lindsay was quite the abusive taskmaster towards Stevie, I think she knows he's a musical genius, but she is afraid of his passion, and he never really understood hers. Star crossed in this lifetime, indeed. 🤍
@@DorkThink Yeah, they passed a lot and she is cautious with him for he could critisize her every moment or say something unpleasant. They started up, him being her teacher en the genius. He never expected that she would do very good on her own. So i guess there is some jealousy there. Also, cause he didn't really wanted to split up.
I had the pleasure of seeing Lindsey on labor Day weekend in New Buffalo, MI! At 70+ yrs old, (and after a heart attack) is still an amazing performer! If he and Stevie reunite musically, I'm there!! Ps...2021 still love Buckingham Nicks
The poignancy of this Brilliant song has become more powerful with age. Stevie Nicks was simply enchanting when she was younger and Lindsay Buckingham is one of the best Acoustic Guitarists of all time, and just amazing chemistry between them even now.
Ooohhh Stevie nicks , if only you know how much I love you , ooohhh I m dreaming of you since I be seen and heard you . all I wish now is to play music with you using my guitare, , I know it s not possible here but I ll surely meet you in the other life . you will see me in your dreams which will become true and real. I can't believe how extraordinarily talented and sensitive and extraordinarily strong a singer and a musician guitar player and an arranger Lindsey Buckingham is!!
Lindsey can sing very beautifully , as well as play the guitar angelically, and Stevie, you sound heavenly as well. Wow! Beautiful and perfect song. God bless you 2 and Fleetwood Mac. Love your music. Love you all. fan
I'm constantly reminded of this [extended] quote from Elizabeth Gilbert's TED talk whenever I watch these two - sorry for the length: "Centuries ago, in the deserts of North Africa, people used to gather for these moonlight dances of sacred dance and music that would go on for hours and hours until dawn. And they were always magnificent, because the dancers were professional, and of course they were terrific. But every once in a while, very rarely, something would happen, and one of these performers would actually become transcendent...It was like time would stop, and the dancer would sort of step through some kind of portal, and he wasn't doing anything different than he had ever done, 1,000 nights before, but everything would align. And all of a sudden, he would no longer appear to be merely human, he would be lit from within, and lit from below, and all lit up on fire with divinity. And when this happened, back then, people knew it for what it was, they called it by its name. They would put their hands together and they would start to chant, Allah, Allah, Allah - that's God, you know? Curious historical footnote: when the moors invaded southern Spain they took this custom with them, and the pronunciation changed over the centuries from, "Allah, Allah, Allah" to, "ole, ole ole!", which you still hear in bullfights and flamenco dancers and Spain when a performer has done something impossible and magic; "Allah, ole, ole Allah, magnificent, bravo, incomprehensible, there it is, a glimpse of God."
Lindsey Buckingham is quite probably the best guitar player on the planet. And how he keeps coming up with new arrangements and altered lyrical cadences on old songs is a tribute to his nearly unparalleled ability as both a vocalist, and accomplished guitarist. If anyone reading this does not have his solo album Out of the Cradle, do yourself a favour and get it. If you're older, go buy the CD, and if you're younger, download it. it's absolute brilliance,

Lindsey Buckingham Stevie Nicks. - Never going back again. They compliment each other so well singing a duet like this one. What a superb band they all were. oh yeah, they sure did.
Aaah. These two still stand to amaze me. Such a beautiful Duo and will never be forgotten ❤
No Stevie left him because of his physical abuse of her.
This is my most favorite song by Buckingham and no matter how many times I listen to it I cannot get enough. His vocals are amazing and his finger picking style on the guitar is spectacular.
This and Big Love.
It's great despite her attempt to ruin it.
SPECTACULAR! He makes one guitar sound like many guitars 🎸
Stevie Nicks is always really tasteful. This was Lindsey's thing and I think she was just being respectful of not taking too much of the spotlight. Pure class.
Lol, even if you want you cant take the spotlight from Lindsey.
Beautiful....
I agree but this isn’t even one of their duet songs. Why not sing one that they did together? This was also during Stevie’s super nasally phase.
Lindsey is the lead vocalist in the song how could she have taken the spotlight?
He has aged like a fine Italian red wine, and she has aged like a carton of 2% milk. He is ten times the artist, musician, and singer that she is .
How is it possible not to love some one who's life you have intimately shared since you were seventeen years old.
Whose, not who's life.
Lindsey is one of the best musicians of all time, not many people can make one single acoustic guitar sound like that
You got that right! This song and acoustic Big Love has unreal sound
His guitar sings as beautifully and soulfully as he sings.

He amazes me with his guitar and mandolin artistry~live his voice, too....
Agreed!...and for those who might sneer at such a statement, stick around for the solo
I wouldn’t say he was underrated, esp by older fans, he’s amazing
He’s in the top 100 of all time though
How she could resist his love for her for so many years is beyond me.

So sad that they never worked it out. They're so good together in song. Love this.
But that is where all that great music came from. Without their tension there would not have been the raw emotion that was in most of their music.
