I'm not sold on teddy coats in general. They do look comfy and cozy, but they also look like they would start to look ratty/matted really fast

Yes that is my concern! I have had blankets like that and they just look nasty so fast.

It felt and looked cheaper. I was so shocked when I opened the box!
Personally, for winter I'd also check how you clean it. The raspberry with the buckles on the side was super cute. And, it doesn't look like every other coat you see.

I won't shell out $284 for polyester-viscose. The $1200 jacket probably because they tried to mimic wool feeling which is a bit scratchy and not exactly soft (unless you combine/use cashmere/angora etc) - I do agree with you why pay 1200 for plastic.
I just bought a really beautiful Faux shearling coat from ANN Taylor factory. It’s black and extremely comfortable. I wore it last weekend to dinner and a movie and I got so many complements.... and I only payed $50ish after all discounts. It was originally around $150.
I'm not onboard with these polyester teddy coats. While they look and feel cozy, they are terrible for the environment in the long run. As you wash them, they shed polyester fibers into the water system. Not good! They are so trendy they will end up in landfills quickly. Better to choose actual wool or shearling over plastic fiber, even though it costs more.

I was laughing so hard at the end. I mean no offense but the last jacket is hideous for that price. The fit doesn’t look great. Lesson is, expensive doesn’t mean better:) My favorite one was the MKT, it looked great on you.

I literally laughed out loud when you talked about the last coat and how you could wear it as a cape, but you don't know why you would want to as it literally looks like you are wearing a BEAR on your back!!!! HAHAHA!!!
The teddy coats look nice for a wear or two, but then they start to look really ragged.

Jackets 5 and 6 look the best on you for style and colour. I like the jackets because here in Melbourne Australia it doesn't get as cold, compared to most places in the Northern hemisphere. Thanks for the review. 💕💕

Great job! I always feel very hot when I wear "plastic" fabrics. Especially acrylic sweaters. So, I am just having such a problem with how expensive some of these coats are. I learned to sew from my grandmother at a very young age, so she taught me about how to choose the best fabrics. All I know is some of these companies are making a huge profit on their coats!

I don’t think that last jacket would look good on anyone, my apologies to Andre. I suppose that the designers believe that rich people will buy anything that’s expensive, regardless of quality. I think you looked wonderful in the raspberry jacket. The purple accents were divine! Once again, a great video. Keep them coming! 💕
But what are they like in the rain? Winter is constantly wet here in the uk, and I imagine those coats would absorb all the water!

I prefer Walmart's teddy pullover for $19.99. When a coats costs over $100, I would purchase a cashmere coat, which is timeless as a dress coat; 100% wool for my work coat; and a down coat for play.
When you do these "Cheap vs Expensive" have you ever modeled something and loved it and felt that it was FAR too expensive to "KEEP" but your DH Andre' wanted you to keep it and you did? You are such a cute couple I love your videos !

Very relevant content ;-) I’m loving teddy coats and bought a warm, long one but am thinking about picking up a shorter one, too.
For these kinds of vids, though, I’d love to see more items that fall within the affordability range (for most of us) and from a better variety of sources/stores. Even if the expensive items are beautiful I’d never buy them, so that part of the vid is unhelpful to me. But interesting to see the disparity Lol!

Yes but you moved from farther south so to you its cold. I moved from north Ohio so to me it's warm here. Only time I wear a coat is when we get snow and I'm playing outside with my kids.

I’m completely obsessed w these plush teddies. You can find them everywhere now. Most designers make them also. I would never play over $100... can get great quality for much less. I truly loved this vid. You looked great all except the last... yea that was a joke & most ridiculously expensive. So price means nothing.

I love your cheap vs expensive videos so much! They've actually helped me make a few purchases. You should check out the teddy/sherpa coats on Aritzia's website. They have one called the Grete Jacket that looks similar to the Vince coat you tried on.
My faves are the raspberry jacket and the “granite “? ( as far as I know natural granite is grey - they make curling rocks out of granite) coat ... I suppose it would depend on how you would use it ... the jacket is really cute and big enough for a big sweater underneath and the coat looks a bit more formal to me although you could dress it up or be more casual ... also if you ever wear dresses or skirts in the winter this is long enough to keep most of you toasty - one more thing ... if you keep the raspberry jacket you could add another fastener or 2 to keep the front a little more secure ... good luck ... tell us what you chose ...

Hey !! I loved the raspberry coat I wish they had more colors as well but the raspberry color is so different I’d wear one solid color underneath like gray or black !!!!! I’m obsessed with the teddy coats and I only have one grey and black in color I want to get more this season though and now they have teddy sweaters smhh so many choices lol

I like gallery teddy coats. They retail for around 250 to 300 but think can get them on sale quite often 40 percent off. Lord and Taylor and Nordstrom carries them

The asskdan one actuallu looks great on you and your whole face/hair pop with that color.
Also the MKT Studio really fits to your body. You're not straight and this coat shows it. :) and that last one is fashion they say... Haha some of the things that hit the run ways I give a derp look at.
Are u kidding me? Today i received a package from Asos with the Navy jacket and the rasperry jacket!! I ordered them too but the blue one was so so underwhelming, i will Send it back immediately. The rasperry one i loved but it was way too big.. so i wanted to order it two numbers smaller or at least one, but it was sold out... i cry😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I love the Vince brand but I only buy when on sale as they’re very pricy.That being said, Vince lasts forever!

First impression, I’m not a fan of the Teddy Coats. It seriously looked like someone skinned a stuff animal. However I don’t like a lot of styles when they first come out and then eventually end up loving it. So who knows, I probably will be wearing them by next year. Ha ha.
