- Rainy days are starting to get us down.
We are SO CLOSE to being done corn planting, but the weather is just not cooperating.
And at my lowest, the sweetest family of ducks paraded across my front lawn, reminding me that nature is bigger than all of us and to just sit back and enjoy the good moments.
I was able to get some rainy day jobs in the sheep barn done, so that's a win!

Kind of a lamb tornado.
7 wood ducklings! They nest in a tree cavity, typically 10’ / 3m up & babies leap to ground, so a bouncy sodden grassy landing definitely good for them. Then Mum leads them to the safety of water.

Your channel has helped me out of severe depression. You, your channel, your family, and your animals have helped me get past some of my most pain filled days.

If that's a wood duck, I think they typically nest up in a tree! Love a little Wild Kingdom!. So great that Sandi & Mark keep the trees between their fields for habitat!💕💕

I know when I had a veggie garden, how impressed I was with watching it all go fro dirt to plants to edible. It must be so satisfying to see acres and acres of dirt fields turn into lush green crops! Just the size of it all is amazing to me.
Seeing the build site from the air gives so much more perspective on the job at hand. Glad you have another avenue for the lamb that is closer to home and your meat.

aw Sandy, those are wood ducks in the yard! Momma flopped from the tree above down onto the ground to her babies. Her babies actually jumped from probably a hollow hole about 20 ft up! Downy babies bounce. SOOO cute!

My husband when he was younger used to work all night in the fields. Not a huge farm but he was about the only one who took care of the fields, getting them ready for planting, planting and fertilizing also weed control. Sometimes I would watch out the windows to see him on the tractor going back and forth, well watching the head lights anyway. Easy to see when he was taking care of the hill acreage. 💐💚🙃 PS he LOVED working the fields at night. ❤️💐💚🙃
We lived on a hobby farm and had beef cattle not a lot but a couple of handfuls, when school started off to market a few would go so we got new school clothes & shoes & supplies. My dad worked 2 full time jobs and after his second shift job he would come home and do field work in the dark. I am sure our neighbors didn't appreciate the noise while they were trying to sleep. I see how hard the Brocks work and they certainly deserve any down time they get!!
My cousins on their farm in Saskatchewan were often out past dark planting the wheat crops. Quite often would see the headlights in the field, especially if weather was not cooperating with seeding.

I think you do a great job flying the drone. Both indoors and outdoors you fly the drone and it doesn't wobble or jerk around. You don't hit anything or get hit by anything like insects or birds. I am not a farmer, but I really respect the industry and love animal husbandry and shepherding. Thank you for everything you do managing to share it will with us here on CZcams.

If her garden box is going to be outside, she will need to have some drainage holes ( I couldn't see any) or when there's a big rain, she will end up with a drowned garden. This is the voice of a bad experience. LOL> Jess's curls are beautiful. A little jealous.
I had to smile Sandi, when you were in the sheep pen and all the sheep were crowding around you, you had difficulty walking. It reminded me of trying to walk through a field of tall grass.

My 25yo daughter who bought her first house in December just made two garden boxes and even installed irrigation lines in it and has already planted some veggies and herbs. She’s definitely got an amazing green thumb. Hoping Jess’s garden grows well too. So proud of her.

OMG! my heart sank when I saw Jess with the nail gun..when it was pointing at Mark. Trust me from someone who worked in construction for 13 yrs..Ive seen a nail gun go off accidently and the nail literally got someone right between his eyebrows and came within an inch of going right into his eyes. I realize the gun was empty but thats not the point..she just needs to be more careful handling tools like that..She needs to make sure to point it away from people..especially when it was pointing at Marks private area..LOL
One person I read about, who was is in a barber's chair, was shot in the spinal cord. Don't even ask how that turned out. 😥
