  • Rainy days are starting to get us down.
We are SO CLOSE to being done corn planting, but the weather is just not cooperating.
And at my lowest, the sweetest family of ducks paraded across my front lawn, reminding me that nature is bigger than all of us and to just sit back and enjoy the good moments.
I was able to get some rainy day jobs in the sheep barn done, so that's a win!

Please don’t give yourself such a hard time. Your drone work is amazing! I really love your drone videos of inside the barn. Your channel is ever evolving, like Your livestock and land. You really have an artistic eye, and you capture the most natural and beautiful moments. Moments that you may find stagnant or boring, for us that don’t live on farms are breathtaking and exciting.
    Thank you Sandi.
You bring farming back into my life. Due to my disabilities, Chronic Illnesses, and autoimmune diseases I cannot farm or care for animals. I am bed bound, which is highly depressing. I spent my whole life prior to disability and illness living on and working on a farm. Life without the family farm and animals is not where I ever imagined my life ending up. Your channel has helped me out of severe depression. You, your channel, your family, and your animals have helped me get past some of my most pain filled days.

My husband when he was younger used to work all night in the fields. Not a huge farm but he was about the only one who took care of the fields, getting them ready for planting, planting and fertilizing also weed control. Sometimes I would watch out the windows to see him on the tractor going back and forth, well watching the head lights anyway. Easy to see when he was taking care of the hill acreage. 💐💚🙃 PS he LOVED working the fields at night. ❤️💐💚🙃

We lived on a hobby farm and had beef cattle not a lot but a couple of handfuls, when school started off to market a few would go so we got new school clothes & shoes & supplies. My dad worked 2 full time jobs and after his second shift job he would come home and do field work in the dark. I am sure our neighbors didn't appreciate the noise while they were trying to sleep. If her garden box is going to be outside, she will need to have some drainage holes ( I couldn't see any) or when there's a big rain, she will end up with a drowned garden. This is the voice of a bad experience. LOL> Jess's curls are beautiful. A little jealous.

I had to smile Sandi, when you were in the sheep pen and all the sheep were crowding around you, you had difficulty walking. It reminded me of trying to walk through a field of tall grass.
    Love from Mike. ❤

I echo your sentiments about the rain. It keeps raining where I am too. Enough is enough. Later on this summer I’ll be asking for rain for my garden. Just can’t win! The planter box Mark made is beautiful! Jess is a lucky girl to such a handy Dad.

I’m basically a city girl living in Santa Fe, New Mexico and I love love love watching you. I feel that I’m learning so much. I must admit I get exhausted though watching all the hard work you do. You are so very impressive and caring for your sheep. Hugs to you your family and the sheep. ❤

You as the drone pilot are doing GREAT. Ducks in a row, so sweet. Glad you were able to be with your Mum.

Sandy pointing out that the one is marked in red paint. Me never questioning the paint being a thing, more curious why it is painted, but still in the flock.

Could be ‘won’t breed from’. Will be a msg for something, yet to be dealt with, or maybe an accident lol.

Your drone work is great! The fields look magical with the misty green cover. That shade of green steals the soul! I hope more people appreciate farms for beauty as well as the source of food from watching your channel. There is so much to appreciate.

My 25yo daughter who bought her first house in December just made two garden boxes and even installed irrigation lines in it and has already planted some veggies and herbs. She’s definitely got an amazing green thumb. Hoping Jess’s garden grows well too. So proud of her.

Ok, Mark now you can make us all some of those garden boxes in the off season. Beautiful and worth whatever you decide to sell them for.

Sandi I feel as though I know you from your videos and what you share, however that being said I can not imagine thinking it would be OK to just show up at your home. I am so sorry that happens. I am happy you still share your life with us. I love watching all you do. I love it all. The sheep, fields, peeks into your and your families life. Thank you for sharing both the good and not so good. It makes me feel less alone.

OMG! my heart sank when I saw Jess with the nail gun..when it was pointing at Mark. Trust me from someone who worked in construction for 13 yrs..Ive seen a nail gun go off accidently and the nail literally got someone right between his eyebrows and came within an inch of going right into his eyes. I realize the gun was empty but thats not the point..she just needs to be more careful handling tools like that..She needs to make sure to point it away from people..especially when it was pointing at Marks private area..LOL

Sandi, those baby lambs were crowding around you, so precious you are their person. Thank you for the drone footage, it’s puts into perspective how much you and Mark do farming so much land. Also as a country girl born and raised, I love the fields…there are beautiful ❤
