    To get the most out of your Vicks Starry Night Cool Moisture Humidifier, follow these helpful steps.
    Make sure your humidifier is on a firm, level, water resistant surface at least six inches from the wall.
    Remove the tank and set aside.
    Then remove the filter and filter tray from the humidifier.
    Soak the filter in cool water. Do not wring the filter.
    Fold the filter flat and insert back into the filter tray.
    Place both the filter and filter tray back into the humidifier.
    To use with Vicks VapoPads, with the water tank off the unit, locate the Scent Pad slot.
    Insert the VapoPad.
    To fill the water tank, turn it upside-down and remove the tank cap by turning it counter-clockwise and fill the tank with cool tap water.
    Replace the tank cap and tighten by turning clockwise.
    Place the tank back on to the humidifier.
    With the power switch in the off position, plug the filled humidifier into the wall outlet.
    Set your fan speed to the desired output. The high setting will provide maximum moisture, while the low setting is a night time quieter mode.
    To turn on the projector, turn the Projector Power Switch to the on position.
    Relax and enjoy your Starry Night Cool Mist humidifier.

    *humiditer We liked it **Fastly.Cool** so much in the basement, we bought a second one for the main level. The amount of moisture it pulls out of the air is astonishing.*

      Humidifiers do not pull moisture out of the air. They put moisture into the air.

    My original intention for this humidifier was to use it for plants that require high moisture levels. After using it in my room, czcams.com/users/postUgkxtD9aJ2m6GU-X1IChQxjn9l31K1A7Kpwj however, I think that's where it is going to stay in the fall and winter season at least. The increased humidity in my room made the room warmer and more comfortable. I had first ran the humidifier for 4 hours with the timer setting for it. After the first hour, I checked my room and can feel the difference. When the full 4 hours was up, I checked again and noticed that the humidifier was shut off as it is suppose to. The moisture level never seem to get passed 56/57%. I then let it run until all the water is used up, which it wasn't all used up. There are still some left in the base that you are not suppose to add water to. I filled up the water tank all the way again, being careful when removing it from the base. Some left over water may spill out. After putting it back on and setting the unit to auto, I let it operate. It didn't stop running, rather I don't know if it did at any point since I didn't check it regularly, for 24 hours after which the water in the tank ran out. The moisture reading never passed 56/57%, which may be a good thing for me. Being situated right next to my bed, the noise was not very noticeable with the occasional water gurgle from time to time as the unit ran.

      Same got it at a savors thrift store. I don’t have a filter, it blows air but the water hasn’t changed and I’ve had it on for a week mostly. Any help would be great!

      @@amandaangelisse5612 You do need the filter for it to work. It's basically like an evaporative cooler, the filter soaks up the water and the fan pulls the moisture through the filter. It normally takes mine just under 24 hours to go dry on High.

    Just started up for first time ----- $5 at 2nd hand store; never used til now.....I have it on a towel in a big baking sheet bcs I've learned from another humidifier that's likely needed. Lol. (sad but true)

    Hello I have a question. So when I first installed it . It was making a noise when i set it on max and now it's not making a noise at all should I be concerned? Should the humidifier be quiet ?

      Hello Destiny. Yes, there will be water that enters the filter tray from the tank, so that the filter can wick up the water into the path of the air blown by the fan.     Bought mine from a thrift store last week, disinfected it. checked for cracks. All systems seemed go until I turned it on and water came flooding out back/bottom? Disappointed, but it must have some issue that brought it to thrift store. Bummer.

      Thank you for reaching out to us Rina. This unit needs to have the wicking filter in it, as the filter wicks the water up into the path of the air, so it can be evaporated and humidify the air. Without the filter, this unit is as effective as a bowl of standing water at humidifying the air.       This unit was made only for use in the United States or Canada. Using the unit on a different power source, even with a transformer, can damage the unit.     How do you change the vapo pads does it has to be cleaned everytime you change to a new pad?

      We will be happy to provide that information Escarlen. When the VapoPad is dry and needs to be changed, you can use a small cloth or tweezers to grab onto the tab of the VapoPad and discard it.
