Humidifiers were never meant to put essential oils in. The mist is what is useful. You can get vicks in a deodorant style or rub and put that on your chest or under your nose while the humidifer is doing it's intended purpose of humidifying the air.

Mine just stopped working had it for a year for the baby i cleaned it per the user manual as usual and now plugged in it dim flashes green and fades away. Did water get in something idk I'm really sad .

Hey Nay L B. We can confirm that you may add essential oils to the water for model VUL530. The other models listed in this video, VUL525, VUL545 and VUL565, are not compatible with essential oils, and we do not advise adding essential oils to this humidifier or the water. It literally says on there to not add oil my friend! I wouldn't do so, since it specifically mentions not to do so. There's a specific section you can get pads to put in it, and those really are strong and work well! Just have to be careful with the types you get as certain oils are toxic to pets. 🧡🐾

i got this for free but i wouldn't recommend this to anyone. it's basically useless. you can't use oils in it and have to keep buying their pads that apparently only last 8 hours. i am possibly getting sick so im using it tonight. i will probably end up throwing this away and buying a different humidifier. i don't like it.

If replacement pads don't work for you, buy a jar of vicks rub or the new deodorant style rub, put on your chest and or under your nose. Let the humidifer do as it is intended to do, humidify the air.
