I have a misting humidfier. I discovered that it was putting hazardous amounts of particulate matter in the air due to the tap water I was using. To keep that from happening, I'd have to use distilled water but that is too expensive.

always best to use *distilled water* in your humidifiers. Helps them last longer & prevent hard mineral deposit accumulation.

When you first get it did it take a while for the mist to start? Because it’s been about an hour with it on a high setting and no mist is coming out.

I don't understand the purpose of the carrying handle as if you lift from there it separates from the base...you can't carry it then
Yes i think the handle is more for removing the top not carrying the humidifier.
