    Have a 2019 R1250 GSA. Rode it cross country last year…..Love it!!! Now that I have a place in FL for the winter mos, I wanted a cruiser, so I’m adding a 2020 Bagger to the stable with the Remus exhaust. Great video, got the dealer to install it in the deal. Wanted to hear the sound test. Man that 6cyl sounds like a formula one race car lol!

    I'd like to hear the bike with open pipes. I don't know how you could resist cranking it without the mufflers.

    Nice video on the install. You taught me how to remove the seat. If it was in the Owner's Manual, I missed it. lol Awesome stuff!

    Install mine on March 14, was one from the first shipment into the U.S. The seat latch is the simple part of the install. Just reinstalling the "E" clip can be frustrating.You did it the absolute hard way. You did not install the rubber bushing into the bracket of new pipes. No cones of silence.

    • @patrickbigatel5255
      @patrickbigatel5255  Před 5 lety

      Flying Dog yes... I did a few things the hard way. Ended up putting the silencers in because it was too loud without them!

    • @flyingdog1498
      @flyingdog1498 Před 5 lety

      The bridge bridge with the seat latch on it is held with 2 screws, removing it and unhooking the blue and purple radio plugs is easier, for me", than reinstalling the grommet in the back of the right bag. The tab on the bags can easily be reached from above with a long screw driver to release. If you do not get the seat cable "E" clip reinstalled and the cable comes out of the slot, getting the seat off can be interesting but is easy enough once you figure it out. Have replaced 2 rear tires since installing the pipes, right bag and inner right muffler must be removed to remove the rear tire.
      The exhaust can get loud cruising at 90mph across South Dakota and Wyoming with the cones of silence removed. But easily installed and removed. Top speed is limited to 130mph personally tested in Montana I-90. As for the bike being black, a few hours and some vinyl wrap it can be any color you want.
      Have had mine for over a year now, 15,000 miles and many modifications, lowered 2", custom fabricated luggage rack, custom fabricated foot boards, shortened side stand, custom center stand fabricated from a GT center stand, vinyl wrap color, Corbin seat, PDM 60, motocello audio switch, Ilium bar backs, Ilium bag guards, Ilium lowered brake pedal, lowered shifter, dual camera system, smoke windshield
      to name a few.

    What do exhaust do for performance? Does it help with MPG or HP ? Is it a 1000 bucks for sound only?

    Mark Wahlberg, is that you?

  • @roadglide
    @roadglide Před 6 lety

    As you stated, bike is filthy. Maintenance is always easiest when you start with a nice cleaning as a baseline. Other than that, those are quality pipes from a performance company. . So Congrats. Digressing here...I can’t wait for BMW to add a TFT screen and new colors. Rumor has it maybe 2019. Analog systems for forward thinking companies like BMW and offering this beast of a bike in only black is becoming antiquated. With BMW having so many incredible colors using quality paints it should be easy. If BMW is serious about the Bagger market Peeps will want more colors options than black and even a custom order option like they do on their cars. Leave it BMW to help encourage or revive this flatlining motorcycle industry with this great new entry the K1600b.

    Question, so I don’t need to get the headers. These are just the slips? If so what’s the advantage of the headers? Can anyone help. I am getting ready to order and need to know please. Thanks in advance.

    • @harleycrasher8396
      @harleycrasher8396 Před 4 lety

      This exhuast system is for sound. Headers is waste of money unless you plug the SAS system and get ride of the catalytic converter and remapping the ECU. And kill your warranty. If you enjoy tearing apart your bike, go for it. Aftermarket systems are pricey so you decide if it's worth time and money. Or buy used cans. It is doable. Cheers.

    Butcher up my bike, go through the grief and spend over 2k for that minor difference?
    No thanks.
    I will keep my stock cans and buy a lot of gas and beer for 2 grand.
