    Hello Rabeea, by the term Internationally trained lawyer, do you mean to refer those who have cleared their NCA exams or also those who just have a Foreign Law Degree with or without any experience? If they include the second class of lawyers I mentioned, do such lawyers get work permits?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Rabeeda. Thank you for this video. I am an Indian lawyer having experience in the insurance field working as a liability manager. Would be moving to Canada next year post marriage. I would be deeply grateful if you could let me know the means to practice in insurance industry in Toronto. How do I get entry in insurance industry? Do I have to appear for NCA? Or is this work experience considered good enough to secure a job directly?

    • @nehalmahuli8121
      @nehalmahuli8121 Před 3 lety

      My role as a liability manager is basically to analyse coverage assessment of all the liability claims.

    • @RabeeaKhalidLawStudyKit
      @RabeeaKhalidLawStudyKit  Před 3 lety +1

      Writing the NCA exams is the first step in becoming a lawyer in Canada. If you want to practice law in the insurance industry then yes you will have to take the NCA exams. If you want to work as a contract analyst or a legal assistant then your work experience might be sufficient. I would recommend reaching out to someone in the insurance industry on LinkedIn and asking them these questions. They might have a better understanding of insurance than I do.

    Ma'am I've a little query if you'd mind answering
    Ma'am after clearing the NCA, is it mandatory to get admission into LLM ? Can we go for Post Graduation Diploma Course in a particular law ?
    I mean after completing the course, am i eligible for articling and then writing the solicitor and barrister exams ?

    • @maeheck
      @maeheck Před 3 lety +2

      The LLM has no relation with the NCA exams or the articles or the Barrister and Solicitor exam. It can give you a study permit and some networking opportunities. But if you can’t afford it or don’t want to do LLM, you could look at diplomas too.
