During the ALGS hack two names were shown, so it's not just one guy. Not to mention that hacks like are extremely valuable. So playing Apex Legends right now is just a bad idea, no matter how you do it. Even with Geforce Now, you still risk your game account being banned. And sure, they'll probably unban it eventually, but do you want to take that chance?
Spawning in bots would just be looking up the code required which is defo inside of the devs version of the game, and typing it into the console, its not some master class hack. The crazy part is the RCE. That is way more impressive than anything he has been shown doing with it.
Sometimes when I'm playing apex after I get a kill the game will lag like it's getting massive packets sent.i have wondered if hackers were able to crash your PlayStation.
if they can package a silent trojan to install to all apex clients online (as it appears apex has admin rights), even after uninstalling the game, their point of entry will persist. Best to NOT open apex until respawn have fixed the back door being used.
My thoughts exactly bro, wish my friend group would be more inclined to play a game like the finals that actually cares about your time and its player base.
Nothing to do with the hacking specifically but the fact 1 in 3 games I play the banner poses I spent good money on doesn’t even load in game, I’ve spent upwards of $1000 on this game that I do love to play, it’s just so disappointing
PC players have been modding into console lobbies so I don't think consoles are safe. If you bought stuff on your account they could gain access to your card numbers the same as PC.
Take a shot everytime merchant pauses an clip after clicking play to explain something he could have explained before or after showing the entire short clip he wanted to show us.
Something has already been off the past 2 days. I have been running into what I thought was hacker after hacker. Then this happens. Yeah, this confirms my suspicions. Hopefully this will force EA and Respawn to actually do something about hacking in Apex.
I wouldn't play at all. I have seen PC players in console lobbies cheating so I would imagine they could do the same thing to console. A virtual machine running the PS or Xbox OS would be enough to allow them to interact with consoles.
I’m not playing apex today, I might take it to the extreme not playing apex this week until next week. Because what happened to ALGS last night. I did change my EA password last night.
If one guy can figure it out, so will others and there is no telling how fast they will work it out, especially since it was done so publicly. I hope he did it to force Respawn to act.
Dumb questions, but does this affect console players? And even if I don’t play the game my account still exists whether I’m online or not so why does it matter if I play or not? Can’t he still get to it regardless of if I’m actively online?
Bro that is insane, I gotta say this is some next level hacking. Usually I'm not generally worried but being able to connect and transfer files remotely is definitely a threat to anyone connecting to that program.
When a RPC exploit was discovered in Dark Souls, From Soft shut their game servers down for months until they fixed it. EA/Respawn should be doing the same thing.
My guess as software developer. They use update service. Easy cheat and apex always ask for admin permission for update. If someone mark always and not ask again then game run admin mode and can download and silently execute what they want. Then it is about get access on update server for RCE. They have to find infected servers. Client is initialize connection to server via NAT so this is only way.
Hed have to be in the servers of apex itself this game isnt pier to pier, guy found or put a backdoor he could access to get into the server banks giving him access to every individual account communicating with that server. Honestly all apex devs have to do to shut this down is find the rabbit hole fill it and put security protocol in place to find anything yrying to dig it back up probably an entire team working on it now especially with it pistponing the only reason ea got involved and thats the tournaments
Hacking is a community effort. If 1 hacker has this process and is able to deploy it this effectively, many more hackers have the capability to do all this and more. Hacking has been out of control on Apex and all other competitive online games. And will continue to be out of control until extreme measures are taken.

Spawning in bots would just be looking up the code required which is defo inside of the devs version of the game, and typing it into the console, its not some master class hack. The crazy part is the RCE. That is way more impressive than anything he has been shown doing with it.
Honestly I’m glad this happened, this should really be a wake up call for the devs at ea and respawn.
the real question is, will EA ever want to wake up 😂
Sometimes when I'm playing apex after I get a kill the game will lag like it's getting massive packets sent.i have wondered if hackers were able to crash your PlayStation.
No popularity online? that hurt! 😢
if they can package a silent trojan to install to all apex clients online (as it appears apex has admin rights), even after uninstalling the game, their point of entry will persist. Best to NOT open apex until respawn have fixed the back door being used.
damn Hell Divers and the Finals bout to GO OFF
My thoughts exactly bro, wish my friend group would be more inclined to play a game like the finals that actually cares about your time and its player base.
This why I stay on helldivers 2 😭
It’s so embarrassing gthat companies like this allow this to happen
If he has backdoor access then it doesn't matter as he already has access to everything anyways
Imagine if this was a teaser for a new legend(possibly mia) man that would be a stunt pulled by respawn hahaha
Nothing to do with the hacking specifically but the fact 1 in 3 games I play the banner poses I spent good money on doesn’t even load in game, I’ve spent upwards of $1000 on this game that I do love to play, it’s just so disappointing
I'm on console, so this isn't too much of a concern, but this is a crazy issue that I hope gets handled asap.
"The chances he's going to do this to you, a random dude who has like no popularity or anything like that, unlikely."
I cried on the inside
"watch this" shows 3 seconds of video before stopping
Something has already been off the past 2 days. I have been running into what I thought was hacker after hacker. Then this happens. Yeah, this confirms my suspicions. Hopefully this will force EA and Respawn to actually do something about hacking in Apex.
Could it be that this guy is a Respawn Dev?
this is actually wild, this is 100% a call out to apex to get their game straight . I'm just wondering if ps4 is still safe to play on?
I wouldn't play at all. I have seen PC players in console lobbies cheating so I would imagine they could do the same thing to console. A virtual machine running the PS or Xbox OS would be enough to allow them to interact with consoles.
I’m not playing apex today, I might take it to the extreme not playing apex this week until next week. Because what happened to ALGS last night. I did change my EA password last night.
If one guy can figure it out, so will others and there is no telling how fast they will work it out, especially since it was done so publicly. I hope he did it to force Respawn to act.
So basically it's like MW2 2009 on steam where hackers can take over your PC.
This is insane though
Hey TGM I know you probably won’t see this but will it affect console too? Cause there is tons on my console that could lead to real life stuff
Even on console, there are hackers. I've run into one in a ranked game, not like that, but they can hack on console too
Yes
They just cheaters lol
I'm more concerned as to if I should even keep apex on my pc. I'm fine with not playing for a couple days but idk if it's even safe to keep downloaded
I feel a lawsuit coming
I'm an Apex dev : we are releasing overpriced junk recolor skins tomorrow and we will never make proper anti cheat because it's too much work.
Yeah I definitely don't think now will be the time for that 700$ heirloom but knowing EA....
Mande just had a game security guy on stream, this stuff is server side you are not at risk well your PC isn't.
Can't wait for the jack rhyder episode of this
never imagine this how apex die. sadge i want the flatline recolor tho
greeeeaaaatttttt. now how am i to do the mission to get the Wraith skin and reactive skin.
This is insane that a gaming company would allow this to happen and them not get shut down.
Whats up with respawn? First the server got hacked in Titanfall and now apex having security issues.
EAC made a statement saying it wasn’t on their end this morning.
in other words hacker got admin commands he can go creative mode in apex
They can go creative mode on your whole computer.
It's worse, it even do anything on your computer not only apex
@@Ayatama we don't know that. Stop scaring people. What he did is still possible with server level access.
@@spurscoys7385 the fact destroyer guy said it was RCE explain itself bruh
@@Cimlite well w console then
So from what your saying is playing on pc is not safe, but anyone playing on console is ok to do?
Even on console there's a risk.
Sure you're not gonna get ransomwared, but they might still be able to access other devices on your network
When a RPC exploit was discovered in Dark Souls, From Soft shut their game servers down for months until they fixed it. EA/Respawn should be doing the same thing.
I didn't know this was going on. I played this game 3 times within the last 2 days...
Thankfully I stopped playing 6-7 months ago after being tired of too many cheaters in ranked..
I’m getting too old for gaming. I’m
from the era of blowing the dust out of my game and putting it back in to work. This is just wild lol
Uninstalled game until some info from devs
Good thing i just downloaded R6 again recently, so i still have a FPS to play lol
This whole thing is crazy
This is definitely a slippery slope we are on.
Hacking is a community effort. If 1 hacker has this process and is able to deploy it this effectively, many more hackers have the capability to do all this and more.
Hacking has been out of control on Apex and all other competitive online games. And will continue to be out of control until extreme measures are taken.
Good. Maybe they might actually do something now.
Destroyer2009 is the Batman of Apex
EA and Respawn should honestly hire him.
This is CNS from the Finals sabotaging the competition.
