I will show you guys how to transfer your profile with all your settings to the new console using an external storage device, to save time, and also transfer over all your favourite games and save you from paying for overage charges or waiting hours to redownload all your games!

Yea. I dunno if I F'd up. I formatted drive. All my games were on it. Plugged into new Slim. And no games...

Does the network transfer transfer the data that was on the games or just the games?
As long as its the same account you played the game on your old xbox the data will be there once you finish the transfer

I think you I know a way so if you have external hard drive copy the game from the internal so that in your dad's you don't have to reinstall the games then sign in to your new xbox one and I think you should be okay because your save data is saved into your account.

You can for sure. Depending on your connection speed it might take a very long time! Also here in the US most internet service provider has a data cap, so downloading huge games will cost you a lot, if you go over your monthly plan(they charge per GB if you go over). For example, Comcast has a 1TB/month limit.
On average an Xbox One game is about 50GB. I would say if you have 10 games or more, a hard drive transfer is more effective!

Can you not simply not download the games from market once you set up your new console? I've just sold my Xbox One X but did not copy over to an external drive.
Id say if its the same account you used if you bought the games they should show up in owned games on the new console if not check in the store

Since it syncs it to the cloud, you have to be online and log in to sync profile. Not possible on USB.
This is a hard way...all you do is get your Xbox and make a new account...then add an account to your xbox ans add your account

THE LATE NIGHT GANG I believe when you go to play a game it will pull your saved game data from the cloud
Your save files are uploaded to the Xbox Live cloud, and will sync automatically the first time you start the game on your new Xbox!
So make sure you are connected to the internet even if you don't pay for Xbox Live, the save games are synced.
