    Very nice. The tip about using sanding sealer to avoid the CA finish ring is greatly appreciated as well. Take care, stay well, keep laughing in these weird days!

    Imagine a world where everyone, including even say, a business owner, who’s already mastered his craft, and has everything going for him, and all kinds of momentum, and so forth, can still be just humble enough to speak their experience, and their knowledge and their wisdom and their craft skill to you in a step-by-step, easy to follow way, that doesn’t sound arrogant self-serving, or anything else, pretentious, other than just simply sharing quality information in a very helpful n skilled way

    I’m a retired veteran. I’m about to make my aunties some canes. Thanks for the ideas. I’d also like to say I’m switching over to grizzly tools. I got a joinery recently through grizzly and it’s awesome!

    It's wonderful to see a CEO, or anyone high up, who has the spirit of their company in him. He obviously loves working with wood, and has pride in good craftsmanship. Keep up the good work.
    And the canes came out beautifully. enjoy your effort.

    Nice and beautiful cane 😍. Thank you for the sanding sealer tip and its wonderful seeing the owner Mr Balolia working on a project. Bring more videos like this to Grizzly's channel, its REALLY nice to see the OWNER building or talking shop, even if its highlighting machines and tools along with the other content. The end clip was so perfect shows him as a real. He 👊

    Interesting. I've made canes for over 20 years, mostly they look very much like yours, square, not as fancy, and I got tired of making handles like other people made, started designing my handles. Right now am making some changes in a new cane for myself, and the handle will be one a bit different from yours. This one will be my Happy Buzzard. Then will go along with the rest of the series, Grumpy Buzzard, Hungry Buzzard, Sleepy Buzzard, Bubble Gum Chewing Buzzard, then Grumpy Tortoise, Grumpy Fish, then proceed with other designs. Much more fun doing my own designs.

    Interesting. I've made canes for over 20 tears, I use a somewhat similiar technique, but not as fancy. My canes are also square, and years back the outlines of mine were pretty much the same as yours. But years back, decided I did not want to make canes that were the same as most. So, started designing my cane handles. Right now doing some ine tuning of my cane, and am working on slighty modifying my cane handle. Then I willl proceed to the rest\

    Grizzly Industrial is headquartered in the Pacific Northwest. A rock band that was popular in the late 80's/early 90's also emerged from the PacNW. If you ran with the grunge crowd, you may have heard of them...they were called Nirvana. Although they dissolved with the passing of lead singer Kurt Cobain, don't be sad, for all is not lost. The drummer (David Grohl) went on to form another band called...you guessed it...the Foo Fighters! (But I digress).
    The whole point of my comment was to say that if you need to touch up the paint on your Grizzly machine, get you some Rustoleum "Hammertone Green".

    Excellence! I am about to embark on crafting 2 canes. One is for my pastor at church who is having knee surgery and will require a cane. I will be using the old standby- hickory. But after seeing your lamination I may add some maple to the shaft. One question- it appears the brass pins are driven through the dowel between the shaft and handle - do you believe this adds extra strength? Thanks again!

    I know these canes were mainly for protection, but would you say they're still good for supporting someone as they walk? i might be interested in making a cane this way for a friend

    • @grizzlymachines
      @grizzlymachines  Před rokem

      Hello! Yes, this is designed to support yourself while walking, the dog defense is just an added plus :) Also, the denser the wood, the stronger the cane.
