      "Constantly innovating and detail oriented, we address design flaws that our competitors overlook. In 2016, we've made a 25% increase in material thickness as well as 50% more welding on an alloyed halo that spans the entire steering wheel. Making these the strongest steering wheels in the market."

      @DevinRAR Před 6 lety +6

      IMNOTA lmfao. The idea is your head never hits the steering wheel. If you don’t have a helmet and a 3 point harness, you shouldn’t trade your airbagged steering wheel for a KOOL STEERING WHEEL cause your broke neck won’t make you look too cool.

    • @imnota
      @imnota Před 6 lety

      DevinRAR
      I know, I would keep the airbag, but as mentionned on the website, it's a street steering wheel, which means it can be used without harnesses, it doesn't mean you should do it but there's people who want to do it, so nrg provide them wheels and make money.
      But since most people that have a racing steering wheel don't have harnesses, they added some safety features just as a bendable rim.

    Out of curiosity, in NY and several other states you need to have a horn for the vehicle to be road legal. Otherwise you will not pass inspection. If i wanted to install one of these in my whip, is there anyway to mod it for horn? Because obviously the button in the middle, certainly won't do me any good as i'll find myself driving aimlessly down the road.

      EugenioFaz hahaha why does this not have any comments? Definitely makes sense. If you forcefully move it in direction it’s not intended to go, it will break.... doesn’t help that nrg is a cheap brand but I mean like if it happens to fit your budget and seems durable when you get it, go for it, just don’t cry or shit on it when it breaks because of you. If it broke while driving or releasing the hub, that’s the company. If it breaks bc you rip on it hard, your fault

      This is safe, it won't come off while driving and it is made to bend or to pop off if you hit your head in case of a crash.
      It's fucking made to do that because this is a street steering wheel not a racing one like other wheels that don't rip apart.

    • @eins2001
      @eins2001 Před 6 lety +5

      Actually, this wheel is 99% guaranteed to not have a DOT approval number. It is illegal to remove or disable any safety component in a car, such as an airbag, UNLESS it didn't come from the factory with an airbag. This wheel is meant to be used on a car used only for show or track use. Now, if you use this in a race vehicle where you encounter higher G-forces it is, in fact, going to eventually pop apart as it didn't even take much effort. Most tracks also require you to have a proper racing seat, harness, and rollcage. So whether you use it legally or illegally, this wheel is 100% unsafe due to very poor construction.
