There would no longer be a most valuable player award, it would instead be the most like Ed Delahanty Award.

You should do a video about a player named Buzz Arlett aka "the minor league Babe Ruth". Played during the 1920's-30's. He's the only professional player to hit 4 HR in a game twice in his career. He started as a pitcher but blew out his arm so switched to outfield and was an even better hitter. Every time he was about to get attention from major league scouts, something would happen (he got beat up by an umpire and hospitalized once). He played one year for the Phillies when he was 30 some years old and put up good numbers but he got hurt, then eventually cut and back to the minors. Definitely seems like he could have been something special had he gotten his shot in the majors at a younger age.

@@big8dog887, the bridge was about 20 miles upstream from the falls. He likely drowned in the river and his corpse floated over the Falls.

1:46. Delahanty was not “traded.” He essentially quit the National League Philadelphia team after the 1889 season to join the new Players League for the 1890 season. However, the Players League folded after the 1890 season so Ed returned to Philadelphia for the 1891 season.
