XDefiant (formerly known as Tom Clancy's XDefiant) is a first-person shooter video game developed by Ubisoft San Francisco and published by Ubisoft. XDefiant is currently in development and is set to be released this summer on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows. - Hry
XDefiant has officially been confirmed delayed (again) so the report of it releasing by March 31st is sadly crushed. Official update is allegedly coming sometime next week so I'll keep you all posted here. While the hype may be dead at this point I'm still looking forward to the release (whenever that might happen)

Xdefiant had the perfect chance to release in summer of 2023 when everyone hated Mw2. Mw3 fixed all the issues people didnt like so its too late

If they didn’t announce an expected release window right after the PTS then none of this would be a problem. Hyping people up to play the game only to disappoint them because the game isn’t ready was a very bad move. Should’ve left it a mystery
People are mostly just really impatient lol but part of that impatience comes from being done with call of duty from a 6v6 standpoint
I predict the game will launch without SBMM, but the lobbies will still be so sweaty that people will say that they lied and that there’s really SBMM in unranked.
That’s the thing I noticed in the play tests. There was no SBMM but everyone playing were call of duty refugees lol so the lobbies were really sweaty. Very fun though

@methodz2850 the problem is they didn’t go old school hard enough they should’ve gone mw2009 style AT LEAST not a bo2 with hero abilities that gulf war can easily replicate or even surpass.
It won’t stand up but they know that. It’s not gonna be huge as cod but will stand well because atm personally this is the only game that will give that og cod feel

I have never been hyped for this game, but y’all should’ve just got a beta in November. Like the game was basically done and they could’ve put it out and hoped to fix it

Honestly if they're having this many "tech problems" I have little hope for when the full game launches. The delay isnt gonna help anything really. It's going to release and have issues no doubt. There isn't a major title I've seen yet in recent years that has launched that doesn't release with issues and have to patch them up throughout the life cycle
I gotta be real here, the beta was so damn fun, some of the most fun iv had playing a fps in recent years, but this game is on the edge of being doomed, the hype is almost completely gone

This is a huge company we’re talking about here, and it’s sad to see a game that played so well loose all of its support and hype, but that’s what unfortunately happens when you don’t give updates out on the current state of the game, this isn’t their first time making a fps, and I’m sure it won’t be the last, however if this game does manage to launch, the results are not going to be as positive as they were back when the beta was playable
I personally don't mind waiting for XDefiant either, but I think its more of a problem of what will my focus be when the eventually game drops. If the game drops in a few months and Black Ops Gulf War is coming out soon or has been announced, I won't be as excited for XDefiant since I always look forward to Treyarch games more than anything so they're in a tough spot for me personally.
If Gulf War is just MWII(I) with a 90s theme then I’ll be playing XD. But if it’s more like Cold War then yeah I’ll play it a lot

I don't understand why they couldn't drop what they had. As far as I can remember, I never had technical problems during the beta other than some cross play issues. Kind of hard to remember though cuz it was so long ago.

Can i be honest prestige? I see this game more like overwatch than call of duty because yeah they have the cod mechanics but on overwatch you can use your special power if you reach the number 100 i am still hype for this game but i never understand why people said it a cod killer?

The game was very much playable during the public play test, so just release the freaking game already

Considering that they just had to put “online store” in the list of things they tested just feels like this is gonna be another COD situation. Prioritizing the shop and its functionality over the game itself. Idk, just leaves a bad taste in my mouth after all the Live Service games we get that the store works perfectly fine but there’s a ton of crashing, game breaking bugs, and the feeling that the game just wasn’t ready for launch.
They really missed their chance to release it when everybody was hating on MW2 and they won't get another opportunity like this one

Like would you rather have the game launch smoothly or launch like skull and bones, or like classic battle front games or Even call of duty be broken at launch quality control Is the best thing we could get is a dev truly caring about the launch.
If we don’t acknowledge the problem with the game industry be what it is currently Which is a total chaotic mess with all these new games launching broken. We will never get another good game. There just cash grabs at the end of it if the fans don’t start caring about development. Devs really need to look at us and say we deserve the best game at launch cause we’re spending our money to build the best game they can.

So apparently they have multiple law suits against them from Activision and they have to change a ton of things. Activision could likely keep them in legal limbo until the game eventually flops.
Idk why games dont go the long term beta route, warframe pulled it off. I think Ubisoft could profit from a continuous build

I was really holding on to hope and excitement it would release. Now I'm not interested anymore. I'm sure lots of others feel the same. If it ain't out by the summer, I’ll probably not play it at all.
Reminder that Ubisoft is a 2.6 billion dollar company and need a whole year to fix “technical issues” for an already playable game. But sure, why release a game if I can’t run around as Hannah Montana?

I want this game to surprise me a bit, They should take all the time they need. My biggest gripe is the fact that Ubisoft is behind all this, and they just shit out pile of garbage nowadays, I have not enjoyed a Ubisoft game in so long, I liked Siege in the beginning but it's lost it's appeal to me it's just a hero shooter of sort now, I like GR Wildlands a lot, it wasnt perfect but it was great, and that was 2017. Only recently have they told us about all the improvements to the social and matchmaking and such but if youve been deceloping a game for years you wouldve found those out so quickly i just dont get it.

If you see this again, I genuinely just wish this game would see the light of day but as of lately I genuinely think this game isn’t coming for another year or more at this point. With all there troubles and the communication or (lack there of in my opinion with certain things) I just see this game failing, even though they’re “trying there best”

People are so two sided. Look at how bad BF2042 released because of bugs and issues and not being ready at launch. People complained that it should've been delayed. But then when xdefiant is being delayed to fix issues and make sure it launches well, players are asking them to just drop it and fix it later? That could literally kill xdefiant If issues are persisting after launch.
