Winter Mixed Boat Fishing with Underwater footage - UK Sea Fishing 2021

- vWinter fishing here in the UK can be great fun but it is very weather dependant. Here we managed to sneak in a short fishing trip between the wind and rain and found a few fish to a range of methods. The water clarity wasn't great but I did get some cracking underwater footage. I hope you enjoyed the video and have a great day. Stay safe and tight lines.
Here are links to some of the fishing tackle I used in the video, I hope it helps.

I really enjoy the underwater sections of these videos. If you found it interesting and want to see more. Have a look at our Underwater video playlist. 😉👍🏻 m.czcams.com/play/PLRo-MB0vL0Tcd_-u35whBaausZvfMNe3E.html
Yeeeeees :-)
Would still love to see one attached to the line for bites :-)
If you consider to put a camera on the line , please be a nice guy and cut out the footage when you reel in any fish. The sound and all the spinning that will come is a good recipe for a spinning head. I have seen a lot of that kind of footage and it’s not recommended mate.
@@The1Norseman - I know the type you mean. I won’t be doing that don’t worry. Those are not good viewing videos. 😉
Me when I'm fishing from the shore: "man I wish I had a boat so I could get to where the fish are"
John: parks boat right by shore and catches a whole bunch of fish within casting distance of the shore
Moral of the story: I need to get better at fishing 😅
Awesome video dude 😁😎🐟
Haha. I keep saying it. Don’t overlook what’s right at your feet. 😉🎣
Haha that's a great comment i say the exact thing to 🤣🤣🤣🎣🎣🎣
I’m not a fisherman at all, but I most certainly enjoy watching you fish! I love being out in nature with you!!!
I am glad that you enjoy joining me Maria. Have a wonderful day. 😊
Best fishing channel on CZcams👍🏻
Thank you Lucas. I’m glad you think so. 😉👍🏻🎣
I’ve been a subscriber ever since the collaboration videos with Haze Outdoors.
@@ReasontoLiveAdventures - I look forward to seeing Paul again. 👍🏻
Every time I watch your posts, I enjoy your crisp clear beautiful British accent. Besides, it is always nice when the fisherman knows very well weather he got snagged or he feels that some kind of fish got the hook in the mouth and try to hold itself in a whole. Perseverance paid off.
Thank you very much. I am glad you enjoy the content. I hope you are safe and well 🎣🎣
Definitely a lesson in patience and perseverance with the weather & the snagged fish John. You had a variety mixed bag even if no white eating fish. Liked the underwater footage too, am always wishing I could see underneath the boat to see their environment and how they're feeding. Thanks for another great vid 👍
Thank you very much Dawn, yes a little bit of patience goes a long way. I do love the underwater footage as well. I have done it in quite a few videos before in the past but it's difficult to get the right conditions. 😊
@@TheFishLocker Yeah I've seen a few. You've had some cracking shots of ling I think it was, or maybe conger playing with the tube that the camera's attached to! Having a right nosy! Great stuff! ❤
i was on the edge of my seat with that conger, when you got him out of that hole....eyes glued to the rod tip...love it John.
😬
Yes more underwater footage! Love the multi species trip! 😄😄🐟🐟
I do really enjoy the underwater stuff, I have done it in quite a few videos before in the past. The difficulty is finding the right conditions. 😊
Thank you John for the experiences at your side of the ocean. Thanks for your time. Beat wishes to you. xxx
As always Patti. It is my pleasure. Take care and have a wonderful day. 😊
Another canny video John. Nice to see the variety of fish and the underwater footage.
Looked a nice day. Icy and freezing up here.
Thanks for taking the time to share.
Stay safe. 👍👏👌😷
Glad you enjoyed the video Ian. Best wishes mate. 😊
Good to see that you run your boat year round rather than winter lay-up!!! The unthinkable has happened here on southern Vancouver Island (Victoria ) SNOW. Definitely a 4 letter word! Enjoying another great Fish Locker vid. Darryl in Canada!
I fish whenever the weather allows. Some years we get a month of bad weather so the boat comes out. This year I have been fortunate. But March is usually the worst.
Another beauty John!!! I love fishing with you 😁.......Thank you!!! 👍🎣🦐
Thanks Kevin. I’m glad you enjoyed it 🎣👏🏼
I'm currently a Net fisher but I love rod fishing more than anything and when I watch you I fulfill my desire of fishing with a rod.
Thanks for the video!
It is my pleasure. 😊
Best day ever when I see this channel from Philippines
Thank you so much. Hope all is well in the Philippines! 🎣👍🏻
Nice one John, loved the bend that eel put in that rod!
The underwater footage is class, love it.
Keep up the great work. 🎣🦖
Thank you David, it was a pretty productive session, thanks so much for watching 👍
Well done, John. you're a natural fisherman. The being 'patient' is easier said than done when on a boat with several other anglers. If our skipper thinks there's a good fish snagged up then he might give it some time. I'm gagging to get out for a trip but it probably won't be until April for the charter as the boat's out of the water for some work for 6 weeks. I've loaded up with a large quantity of slow jigs and am going to give them more water time this year. Fishing vicariously with you helps to ease the lack of fishing trips. Might have to go fly fishing next week. Keep up the brilliant work. Max.
Best of luck on the Fly Max. 😉🎣
by the looks of most of the comments we all like the underwater footage.
LOOK very barren & bare the seafloor there.
@@redwingrob1036 - Yes it is. Very soft mearl beds.
I love the underwater stuff as well. It’s just about finding the right conditions. 👍🏻🎣
Loved the underwater section, but also enjoyed those shots in the beginning with those wrasse you caught. Please stay warm!
I'm glad you enjoyed it, I do love the underwater stuff. 😊🎣
Nice to see you out on the boat again john especially with the terrible weather we have had great underwater shots and to finish the day with a dog fish wouldn't be a session with out your constant companion ha ha keep safe tight lines
Haha. There had to be a dogfish. 🤣🎣
Great video. I like the mixture of live to camera and voice overs. You also did a great job keeping the underwater cam steady - or editing out the wobbly bits!
It's all a learning experience mate. Sometimes you get it right. Sometimes you learn a lesson. 😉🤣
Happy Valentine's Day to you and your lovely family from Pennsylvania USA
Thank you vikki. I hope you had a lovely day 👍🏻❤️
Just as I expected. Perfect ultralight reel.
Another excellent video John. Love the underwater footage. Stay safe and tight lines. Mike.
Thank you very much mate. Best wishes and tight lines. 😊
Love the underwater footage!!!!!!! Can't wate to be back by the cost miss it so much but your videos are keeping the nation entertained. Tight lines bro all the best 🎣🎣🎣

Superb John great days fishing and extremely well done getting thos fish back. All the very best to you and all the family stay safe 🏴🏴🏴👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Cheers James, yes a little bit of patients often gets the fish out. 😊
great inshore session patience is the key with fish on in a snag, any mullet round the pier you were fishing. baby huss, love em 😂👍
You got that right! 👍
Great video John! Under water footage was amazing! Thanks 🙏🏻
Glad you enjoyed it mate, I've done it a few times but its hard to get the right conditions. 😉
Always remarkable and always something different that is the only way I can describe Fish Locker footage. Those Wrasse are amazing colours and every one you caught was different in colour bar one. The underwater footage was excellent I find it more interesting because it is in British Waters. OK we have not got the diversity of The Great Barrier Reef but our fish and crabs are just as interesting. Thanks for posting and keeping us thoroughly spoilt during these difficult times. Getting my fist Covid jab next week so a welcome return to the great outdoors not so far away.
I am simply doing what I can David. I also really like the underwater stuff, difficult in the UK to get the clarity for it though.
Thank you I always enjoy the underwater footage
Glad you enjoyed it Jonathan, I like the underwater stuff to. 😊
Great video as always John. Liked the underwater filming. 😃😃
Thank you Neil. I was happy with how it turned out 👍🏻🎣
Some lovely wrasse there John and the underwater footage was great thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it 👍
Hi John, nice day out on the boat, shame about the rain and Doggies!!!.. The Wrasse were wonderful. Great advice on getting them out of seaweed and holes for the conger!! Loved the string of Mackerel bait all in one go!! Underwater filming not too bad considering..
Take care mate and thanks for another lovely video. Happy Days! Regards Graham.👍👍🐠🐠🐟🐟🎣🎣🎣
A bit of rain is no bother Graham, after all the fish don't mind it when it's wet. 😉🎣
@@TheFishLocker 🤣🤣🤣🤣🎣🎣🎣🎣 Nice one mate, take care.
meanwhile I am sitting on my ass in front of this stupid laptop....
Living the life of a fisherman through your channel, keep em coming !
Yeah me too!
And it's 28°f.Out And snowing! 😥

Hi John, nice mixed fishing video. Lovely wrasse. Hopefully we’ll be allowed out soon. love to the locker family. Stay safe.
Fingers crossed for you mate. 😊
I had to laugh ...had I been in your shoes and I saw all that rain ready to hit , I would have ranked that motor up and got my behind under that bridge....brings the memories back 😂 Good Video!
Haha. It wasn't too bad Tim. Fish don't mind it when it's wet. 😉
@@TheFishLocker Obviously, you're right Haha.. I'm just not to wild about standing in the rain doing my favorite thing😃
Thanks John another great video mate love to all family stay safe👍🎣😂

Another great video. Thanks John, you are inspirational!

That second wrasse sure looked like the first wrasse you caught 👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
It did didn't it. But under the chin was different.
Another great video john lovely colours on those wrasse
Thank you Kieran 👍
A pleasure to watch my friend 👍👍👍👍
Cheers Terry.😊
Great. Video John shame nothing to eat but as they say better a bad day on the water than a good day in the office. Underwater was great ever no what you might pick up 👍👍
Glad you enjoyed the video Stuart, aye no white eating fish but it was a good day none the less. Im glad the underwater video worked out ok. 😊
Good evening John and Hannah and Family. Thank you for your very informative and entertaining videos. Helping us all get thru Covid and the winter months. I recognised the Falmouth ares as we hold Classic Boat events there on occcasions but more importantly you appear to enjoy wonderful water conditions there. We are lucky enough to have a similar sized boat to yours but are based on the north coast and it seems to me to be a bit more exposed where we are! Please keep it up. I have already ammended our anchor rig for the comming season! Just need to catch the fish. Did manage a nice Bass last season just outside the prohibited area but still put it back for later this year... I wish ! Take care and stay safe. Thanks again.
I am glad that the videos have proven helpful. Yes we are quite well positioned here for shelter. It's just anything Easterly that ruins things for us. Good luck for the coming season and tight lines. 😊
Another great video, thanks John, lovely wrass
They are stunning aren't they Mel. 😊
Hello thanks for a great video after watching for a while I started to fish again after about 10 years didn't catch much but still enjoying it
It is my pleasure Michael, I am glad to hear you are getting fishing again. Tight lines. 😊
I really enjoy your fishing and the varieties you can catch. Here on coastal Texas its brown sand and murky water, and the varieties are less diverse. Nice work.
Thank you. My wife and I have fished a few times in Galveston Bay Area. Some great sport but yes, not the best clarity.
Excellent mate. Really good viewing these videos, loved this one.
Thanks Kevin appreciate it 👍
Another fine video, I warmed up watching you, it 1 degree here.🥶Thanks.👍
Thanks 👍 Its much warmer here today, back into double figures thankfully!
@@TheFishLocker Getting up to 1 degree today, we’re having a heat wave with 6” of snow on the ground. I sometimes have a little difficulty in understanding your pronunciations. That’s my problem, I don’t hear very good out my left eye and don’t see very good out of my right ear. The fish you caught is what kind of wrasse. Did you know that wrasse is Cornish for “old woman or hag”? I just bet you did!🤣 I found that out because I did try to get the common name without bothering you. Thanks enjoyed as always. Go to Cole and Jay’s channel to see what I’ll be going after in a few days. Striper’s in the Arkansas River. Grew up on this river.
your videos r so fun to binge-watch. seeing you in my recommended is such a gift :]
Im glad you think so, be sure to subscribe and have a look through as the videos don't always show up in the recommended section. 😉
Great video John, nice catches. Those bull huss look like they would give a proper narly bite
They rip when they bite and it always goes septic. Nasty things.
I wasn't too sure when it started raining, but the day turned out to be a beauty! I'm glad you showed that patience with a "snag" can be rewarded with a fish. (or eel, whatever the case may be! Ha!) I do think it would be funny to see some outtakes sometime! just for a good laugh! :)
We honestly don't have outtakes. Everything is in the videos unless nothing happens. The only bits I cut out are sections waiting for a bite. Or the occasional curse word that might slip out when I get hooked or forget my sandwiches.
Awesome film AS always John
I'm glad you enjoyed the video Steffen. Tight lines mate 😊
The underwater footage was great, would love to see more in the future!
We will definitely be looking to get more underwater content 👍
Another great video John, incredible how you know what fish is on the hook before bringing it out of the water. Toronto, Canada
Thank you Dominic, I hope you are safe and well 👍👍
Awesome my dude!! Always a good day when you post! Cant go outside today in Texas. -15 your temp here today. Can’t wait for more of your lobster and oyster vids. Those are my favorite. I like them all. But it’s only fair to have favorites.
We all have our favourites John. As soon as it is a little warmer we will be out after the lobsters again. 😉🦞
Underwater camera was brill all best wishes from snowy Norfolk 🌨😷👍🦕
Thanks John. Glad you enjoyed it. 😊
You’ll have to v notch those wrasse to check if you’re recatching them! Great again, thanks John.
Haha. I'll have to start doing something. lol.
