Medievil - The Gallows Gauntlet

- The Gallows Gauntlet in my Medievil walkthrough.
Gauntlet suggests a long grueling battle, similar to that in the Asylum. It's true to some extent I guess, the enemies here are pretty damaging, but there's not much to this level. Without the Dragon Armour, you just pass right through this level and return to the world map. The Zombie and Mummy enemies are attached to wooden contraptions, like Puppets and old people.
The Dragon Armour is needed for one obvious section, but you can burn stuff too if you want. The level is over within 6 minutes, so yeah it's easy.
There is One VERY helpful thing about this level though. there's a regeneration spot right at the beginning of the level. You can use it and then exit via the 'non Dragon Armour' route at the beginning of the level too. For the later levels it will help to use this to restore health by revisiting this level.
After getting the extra Life Bottle from the Hall of Heroes, I revisit the Gallows Gauntlet and play through quickly a few times to restore health. Though this is the only occasion I do so. - Hry
This level hit me so hard when I played it the first time. It was mainly the fact that some enemies where impaled on spikes. I can imagine what the war here would be like, and this is certainly one of my favourite levels in this amazing game
I think it's not a battlefield. I believe it's the gallows of Gallowmere. Where they execute and torture war prisoners and criminals.
You can actually kill that serpent that comes out of the chest by hitting it a couple of times on the head with your sword. Don't worry I never figured it out until someone mentioned it to me once. Also great thinking returning to the level to get more health and leaving through the false exit. :) I never thought of doing that before.

This level and Ant Caves are not scary anymore in the remake. I always found them creepy on the PS1.
The queen was pretty disgusting looking in the remake though.
I'm kinda disappointed about the remake, that the zombies fly like ragdolls after they die not like medievil 1 in a gruesome way.
Also the music got replaced which i was disappointed aswell
But still the remake got some nice things too. Like the gargoyles design is cool and so on.
This is good level.
Super video,super game,dificult level,but my favorite. Medievil is fanstastic.

Why does everybody say that this level was difficult? I found it very easy and short when I played it?
I beat the remake while getting all the chalices but never used that lightning weapon.
i never got further than this level cuz i couldnt figure out how to get past this flame, i need to download ps2 simulator and do it

Seguramente necesites la armadura de dragón , que se consigue en la cueva de cristal cuando llegas a una habitación donde encuentras la runa estrella y mucho oro , hay una cara de dragón en la pared , tienes que usar las 2 gemas de dragón para enfrentarte al dragón y una vez derrotado te dará la armadura de dragón que debes llevar puesta en el siguiente nivel para atravesar la puerta de fuego
