another thing, ....what a blessing to work on a dream with your DAD.
He's always loved this kind of work and volunteered to help, I didn't even ask. But yeah he's helped a lot and by the time this is done we'll both be able to say we created something great
These videos are nicely produced as well
Thanks. I try to make them informative but not boring. Keeping a consistent entertaining flow. 👍

My friend where you got those cylindrical cardboard molds for the bases and elevation?
Hey, they're most commonly known as sonotubes. Sonotubes is the name of the manufacturer, though there are a few other makers.
I ordered it through a nearby supplier.
rebar can be purchased pre bent to your spec
Yes I'm aware. Not sure if the supplier I used offered that service. I never asked because I assumed it would cost more (I was happy to do the labor myself)...though maybe it wouldn't have cost much more
Did you guys put anything in the bottom before you place the rebar tower in the hole? It look so perfect and super flat down there.
Great question. No, there was nothing on the sand. We had tamped the sand down with a tamper. At the same time we used the measuring rod that came with laser level to make sure as we tamped the sand down we were pushing it down to the right elevation. A lot of time our shoes/feet were also effective and pressing down, moving sand around, and evening it out....
Thanks for even finding the time to answer my question.
what size of shipping containers do you have ?????
40 feet long, 8 feet wide. 9.5 feet tall
Wish you well.
Lost a lot of respect for the flip-flops. No way to work hard in a sandal.
Real men build houses barefoot, not with sissy boot protection for their dainty lady toes
Lmao.
I do wish you well. I am on the same endeavor.
Cool. Square footage?
~2000sqft. (4x) 40'HC 1st fl (1350ft2) w/20'er on side for staircase to (2x) 40'HC 2nd fl (640ft2)
Just found your site yesterday. Like you, I've been doing all the work myself.
Nice. Big projecy
