  • Take a behind the scenes look at the trails of Glen Coe mountain Resort!
    In this MTB review video i do my best to show you whats out there and whats on offer. From a brief look at the accommodation on site to an in-depth breakdown of the Glen Coe Black DH Trail which is a bit of a handful to say the least!
    Glen Coe is home to one of only two chair lift assisted bike parks in the UK with the other being at Fort William which is located 40 mins away.
    Buckle up, It's a rough ride!

    Well done on a really informative video at Glencoe. Best thing for me being lots of filming, side on etc and looking closely at the features. This gives you the best idea of how rideable it is. Actually not a lot of other video available showing these perspectives.
    All the best and congratulations on surviving!

      Glad it was helpful! Thanks so much for your kind words....... What you described is exactly what i try to do with each trail guide. My content is way better when there is a willing camera man/woman, makes a big difference.
      Thanks for tuning in... more to come soon!

    Yes, one of two places in Scotland with Chair Lift Access - Glen Coe and Nevis Range. I would not go as far as to call Glen Coe a Bike Park though 🤣🤣

    • @MtbTrailHub
      @MtbTrailHub  Před rokem +1

      Worlds roughest bike park maybe? haha
      The trails are currently getting a face lift which was over due in my opinion. Hopefully we see a a few more intermediate level trails in the not too distant future to go along with the new shred shed!

    Great content. Can you tell me what pump that is as I've been looking for something to fit next to my FidLock bottle. Also what's the bike spec, suspension? Would I be wasting my time with my 140/130 (SC 5010) or even a 150/140 travel bike up there?

    • @MtbTrailHub
      @MtbTrailHub  Před 2 lety

      Thanks, glad you enjoyed it….. plenty more reviews coming this year!
      This isn’t the exact pump but pretty similar- www.scott-sports.com/gb/en/product/syncros-mini-pump-boundary-2-0hv-low-profile
      It’s quite a burly enduro rig….I’ve done a full bike review here- Living with the Giant Reign | Long Term Review

      I’d say it’s definitely possible to ride on a trail bike but will be way more enjoyable on a bigger bike.
      All you can do is run what you’ve got, the red trail would be spot on for a shorter travel bike and there’s quite a lot of backcountry singletrack nearby which would be great on a trail bike.
      It will be hard going on the black bike park trails though there’s no denying that.

      🤙Not going to lie but it's probably my least favourite chair lift assisted bike park. They could really do with investing in the trails and putting a few more on the map. Wasted potential if you ask me......

    Just moved to Fort William and struggling to find suitable trails ... they are iether too hard or too easy . Working my way up to tackling top chief ...first stop in this journey was the glencoe red run .

    • @MtbTrailHub
      @MtbTrailHub  Před 10 měsíci

      Yes there are some very difficult up there..... I'd imagine there are lots of XC/Enduro rides in the valley. We put this one together using the all trails app and a local tip off.......

    Looks like survival and not much fun. I guess a nice flowy run like ones in the Alps, could bring a lot of people there.

    • @MtbTrailHub
      @MtbTrailHub  Před 2 lety +2

      😂Yes you’re bang on there…. We only rode the black trail once which unless you’re a pro is probably what a lot of people do!
      The red and xc were good but the place could defo do with a couple of flow trails like you say.
