  • Our first stop of the trip, Glencoe MTB Resort. It's got everything you need for a comfy stay. Accomdation comes in different forms, mainly different size PODS which we thought we well priced at £30 a night per person (smaller ones). There's a cafe which does pretty much everything you need. Toilet facilites and a Supermarket 15 mins away from the main camp site. More importantly a pub 5 mins away.
The 360 degree view in the main camping area is unreal. I've never experienced anything like it on my travels. So peaceful and when you're not being eaten to death by Midges you can actually enjoy that view for hours. They were relentless, and did spoil some of our outside time. So please be aware of that during midges season. HAHAHA.
The uplift was £35 and you'll only get 2 main trails at Glencoe (XC loops can be done at the top also). The system is a piece of cake to use and you'll be at the top taking in the EPIC views on the 15 min chairlift ride. The Red trail featured in this edit is steep and loose to say the least. It's not the most techincal trails, but it's very physically demanding on the body. 3-4 runs and you'll feel every part of your body LOL.

Well ya may have forfeited “bragging rights” without the GoPro, but it definitely happened… what a memory and all the more memorable for you 👊💥

Ah, Glencoe and it's unique approach to trail grading. It's just up the road from me, and I keep meaning to go back, but it's been 10 years since I was last there. Can't believe how different the red looks now.

I can vouch for you smashing down the black, I was there to witness it. It really was blown out and loose in places. Definitely challenging but great fun haha.

I crashed twice on the first slab section of the red . Do you have to drop into it . I had no problems with the second section.

After watching this, I’m sold and I want to desperately try this! Question: I have cycled before on main roads and rocky roads as well but is the route scary and steep unless one has good anticipation and grip on the bikes?

The steepness is unreal. You really need some skill and ability to clear this one pal
