Do you have a GPX of this loop? Or rough points where you came off the PDS. Off there end of the month and this is the of big mountain adventure i am after. 👏🏼 class video.
French Alps tour is ace 😂
Thanks for the video! Im not comfortable with jumps or drops yet so its great to see what I can ride and have fun on.
Hi buddy I'm going there soon, can you please share GPX routes if possible Thanks in advanced!
Les Arcs Definitely No 1. See you there in August 2024
Pronunciation guide for our English friends: Twrch = Say the work Turk or 'too-erk' and it's mostly right. Unless you can pronounce the Welsh CH, which doesn't sound like the CH in Church... Cafall = Cav-ath. Unless you can pronounce the double L, cav-ath is near enough there. Pwca = Poo-Ka Cwm Carn = Kum (like the first bit of Kumbaya) Karn.
I just want to ride bikes! haha Genuinely though, thanks for this breakdown
Great videos! Im heading there last week of june and first week of july. We will be going by van and i have a tent. I noticed campings are only open in summer. How´s the policy regarding setting van and tent up somewhere in nature? You think we´ll manage to find anything there end of june?
Thanks, glad you enjoyed them! By end of June all/most of the sites should be open. They can be pretty hot on people wild camping in car parks etc. They don't like people pitching tents but if you can stay in the back of the van then you stand more of a chance of not being moved on. As a last resort If the campsites are still closed, Your best bet would be the Ardent cable car car park or Linderets car park. You may get away with evening arrival and early morning tear down but don't quote me on that. p.s Les Gets (La Frene) campsite is the best in the PDS!
Looking to go here! I am happy to arrange myself. I got quoted at £3k for 4 nights and 4 days including accom, lift pass and bike hire. Is that normal? Looks good out there.
Hi Jack, That sounds very expensive. You could easily do it for under half that. Shoot me over an email with your details and i'd be happy to steer you to a cheaper option. mtbtrailhub@gmail.com

Hey man bit late on this but how tall are u
Hi Liam, 5”8 and it was a good fit 👍
Can't wait for dust again
That is a nice new bike, although I will miss the iconic orange Giant Reign!
Yeah it's soo nice and plush! The giant reign had her day although i'm thinking about converting it to a bit of a xc/trail bike? not sure if it's worth the hassle though.......
2023?
haha, I know........ still living in the past clearly!
Nice bike, loving the pit set up. Very good 4th. You deserve more subscribers. Your vlogs are better than most.
Much appreciated! thanks! I need to be more click baity with the thumbnails I think but it just doesn't sit right. Thanks for your continued support!
I used to race at Pedalhounds land of nod back in the 90s!!! Can’t believe it’s still going….
Yeah it's crazy how long Paul has been at it! he still grafts hard to get put these events on too! Alot of people have passed through the pedalhounds races over the years!
Lovely bike Jamie !
Thanks Gaz! It really is a dream, like riding on clouds!!
Well done 👏 Great set up and good to see the old man lioke 👏👏👏👏
Thanks mate much appreciated, I thought you'd like a few of those clips! haha It won't be long and he'll be back on two wheels!
W VIDEO
First
Back when mountain biking was in its infancy early 90's llandegla was really good, and that was because the trails were not man made, unfortunately it's been spoilt by the commercialisation of the place.
Yeah it's a shame but I think they've had armour the trails now just to keep on top of the maintenance. the amount of riders that pass through these trail centres is crazy! Great for the sport, not so great for natural single track at the trail centres.
Ever been to Saalbach? How would you compare them?
Yeah, Saalbach is brilliant. Very different feel to it. Less British, longer descents but less trails. Can be combined with Leogang a short drive away for an epic trip! I made a video of the place here …..czcams.com/video/rs1zD6vOM90/video.htmlsi=TQFyo9wT0JMNhOn5. Only a few hours from Schladming too which is an incredible bike park….you can find videos also on this channel. 👍

Don't worry about the shaky footage bit, really good focus on a trail I'd love to ride.
Awesome, thank you for the kind words! Hopefully you get to put wheels on the ground there someday!
This was awesome! Is there something similar to the Trans Euro Trail for mountain bikes? Thanks!
Happy to help, Not that i'm aware of. There used to be a race called Trans savoie but i'm not sure if it still runs. There is a big tour which can be done around Chamonix which i've heard is incredible. SO much out there!
Only do the off piste, the rest is crap. They don't spend any money on it, always asking for volunteers. The only funds are ST holders who tick the biking box. They only care about families/walkers who are daft enough to pay £10.
Yeah I think you're right, although I enjoyed the trail centre loop, I can't help but think there is so much better hidden in this forest for more experienced riders! It's a shame the gov put such tight restrictions in place and stops natural trails being put on the map.
I feel your pain.I broke my wrist playing tag.
Heal up fast !!
cheers alot rhis rly helps 🔥
You’re welcome 👍
is this mountain of hell 🤷♂️ either way looks mad 😍
Not quite…. This is the megavalanche….. MOH is the mountain next to this🤙🏼
🔥🔥
Is there a prize betwwen the different groups?
I think they do separate podiums….. never been good enough to find out 😂
😂 I bought an mtb and started in December and I've entered the mega this year, probably a tall order haha
Haha, fair to say you'll be in at the deep end! There's plenty of people doing the mega just for the experience. There's no rush if you're just out to complete the trail. Good luck.....seeyou out there!
Good tip.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks Jamie
Top tip for the steeps!👍
Happy to help mate!
Good choice of headphones
They are 👌
Really like these tips, very clear and helpful
Happy to help mate! Appreciate the feedback 👍
Wow, great to know that BPW has actual mountain biking 😉and not just jumps and berms... might be worth a visit after all!
haha, yeah it's well manicured for sure, there's still a fair amount of natural style trails out there!
hi there how do you go about planning a trip to the alps from the uk?
That's a very open ended question! Shoot me over an email with any questions you have and I'd be more than happy to help you out where ever possible. mtbtrailhub@gmail.com
@@MtbTrailHub looks like someone has already asked the question I was going to ask 😅😅. Mind if I drop you an email with some questions?
@@richardhuntington1393 Hi, absolutely…. Shoot me a message, happy to help 👍 mtbtrailhub@gmail.com
Great advice
Thanks, happy to help!
Can this route be done off season for practice?
Yes, however sections will be un taped of coarse, you may end up loosing parts of the trail as it cuts across quite a few roads etc. Most of it is marked though I believe. I'd expect the snow to be unridable and very slushy!
Is it still going now?
Funny you ask as it's literally just given up the ghost recently. I don't think they are a long term solution for regular use. You may get a year or 2 out of them. I've just bought a Titan battery powered one from screw fix which seems pretty good for the money.
@@MtbTrailHub i just got a £15 pump off ebay what puts out 130psi same as this does and it does the same job as this only thing is i take a 25ltr drum with me.
Great video as always. I visited Les Arcs after watching one of your videos last year. It was really great. Going to head to Austria this coming summer. I’ve also heard good things about Finale Ligure.
Thanks Sean, that's awesome! Chuffed to hear it made a difference to your summer. Austria has some really good bike parks.... I can highly recommend Leogang,Sallbach, and Schladming over there. All really well put together resorts with great trail networks, you will probably need to drive there if you plan on visiting more than just one of them. I have a few videos on the channel from these venues!
@@MtbTrailHub yes it really did make a difference thanks. We drove and camped last year at Bourg Saint Maurice and Les Gets. Thanks for the all tips and great vids 🤙🏻
Never been to this place but well worth it even though it was cold 🥶
Good place to visit in the winter, trails can handle the weather well
It is fast, both a mate and I on a visit went over 50mph (my 57mph vs his 53mph). Last time I went, there was a rut formed and condition difference so I hit a lower but still good 46mph
Rapid for an mtb!!
What time of year was the trip ?
This was filmed in January 21 I believe....Nice bit of winter sun....and snow!
Heading there this coming summer, thank you for staring. I’ll contact you soon.
Great stuff, happy to help if you have any Q's!
What trails is this at dyfi?
Not 100% sure but I think its the bottom of super swooper.
that's the dyfi motorway trail. its rapid!! even with the extra jumps they have put in at the bottom now. what's that song!?
loving the Reign... i got one too!!
Yeah the reign is a beast! Will take anything you throw at it!
saved my ass a few times too! @@MtbTrailHub
I got a broken wrist yesterday
Oh shit! Speedy recovery to you! Once you’re out of cast I’d really recommend getting a gyroscopic exercise ball to strengthen it again.
Great video....prob some stupid questions...do you have to remove the air in your shocks/forks and tyres?
I usually let out some of the air just to be cautious. I have been told it’s fine not to though.
@@MtbTrailHub cheers, thanks
