âI wouldnât call myself a furry but-â Shane we all remember your top 5 sexiest Disney characters list đ€š
He still had the picture of the female duck tits on his phone lol đ
Haaaa I'd forgotten that!!đ€Ł
đ€šđž
Ooooooh đŹ Shane buddy we need to intervene liek the classic American thing to do
Zak: "there is a topless duck scene.."
Shane: googles 'duck boobs' with zero hesitation.
MY COMFORT SERIES IS BACK (two grown men arguing over various topics whilst a guest watches in concern)
you are so real for this though !! i love this series đ©
Love the episodes (MCU deaths) with Erik from New Rockstars. And the (Pizza establishments) with Rhett & Link from GMM
I don't think anyone on that set should be described as a grown man, but I'm happy as hell it's back too. đ
Haha yeah these 2 together are hilarious.
God, comfort series is such a great way of putting it.
Ryan rage-shrieking 'Duel of the Fates' is probably the most relatable nerdy-ADHD moments ever. I see you Ryan, I feel you my dude.
Ikr. We've all been there.
It was so beautiful
Absolutely.
@@MrBluCoatI did it with him đ
"But I'm asian" had got to be one of the funniest things to say in response to Kung Pow's problematic-ness
Ryanâs ability to sing duel of the fates with that much PASSION was SO GOOD
I think I like the movie more now after that conviction!
It was glorious.
Someone's played lots of the original battlefront 2!
Now that's what I call COMMITTING
he really popped off didnt he
I can 1000% confirm everything Zach said about Cats is true. I saw it in theaters and Iâve never felt such jovial bonding with the other people in a theater in my life. We were laughing hysterically together; some got up into the aisles to dance; we clapped along to the music; we screamed when Rebel Wilson ate a cockroach. Iâll never forget it. We just shared one lucid dream.
I watched it at home with my brother and it wasâŠan experience
@@thehallofvalhalla this isnât a normal experience.. only when the movie is horrible đ
yesss. i went to a 4:20PM showing in a theatre that served alcohol on NYE it was unforgettable
Slight downvote to Zach because he got Howard the Duck completely wrong. Lucas originally threw it out as a vague idea for a film to friends he worked with on American Graffiti (his first hit) and only stuck around as an executive producer as a favor to them.
@Jamie that isn't normal behavior at all... worst is usually a phone going off or someone laughing too loud. Maybe some teens being annoying. But usually not all of those in the same movie... it's not a common thing
The OP has me wishing I saw the movie when it came out with my friends
sleepover is a great movie and i had no idea it was rated so low, btw absolutely hilarious that every single movie shane picked was an animal movie
Yes! I saw it once years ago and I'm literally jumping up and down in happiness that Zach had this as #1
love sleepover too!!
Love that we've got Shane on Coming-of-age films, Ryan on Action, and Zach on Rom-Coms, and what I love even more is that Cats somehow falls into kinda every category?
watching ryan perform the whole duel of fates with 100% conviction may be the greatest thing on the internet
That was pretty entertaining to watch.
I love watching Shane and Zach realize they were not as into it as Ryan wasđ
Zach whispering âgot together behind the scenes and destroyed his marriageâ OOP SOUNDS FAMILIAR!
16:18 for anyone who needs the time stamp
It catched me by surprise and started coughing lol
I think if I had been drinking water I wouldâve 100% spit it out
@@arishita *caught *I
@@meghasinghaniahmu thank you!
i think itâs so funny that drew gooden has made videos about three of these movies, two of which are on zachâs list
literally what I was thinking the entire time !! And right when I was thinking about sleepover Zach revealed it I actually gasped out loud
@@varkat101 a fellow little stinker, i see đŒ
I thought the same thing! It was little Italy, sleepover, anddd. What was the third one?
@@brandibucko mac and me! the mcdonalds movie
Came here to thank Drew for culturing me for this episode
The FACT that Zach can appreciate the beautiful creation that is sleepover made my life. One of my favorite movies of all time
I have legit been searching for that movie for years after watching it once when it came out and as SOON as Zach said it's name, I screamed lmao that lovely human has such good taste
Zach is the only one who can match Shane and Ryan's weirdness
you nailed it đđđ
@@aleks-33 LOL
I dunno, I feel like Keith would be a pretty good match.
@@happybunnyntx Keith works too cuz of his puppets, but I think part of what makes Zach be on their same wavelength is that they all went to film school.
But Keith is a theatre kid
i need more watcher x try guys cross overs. imagine shane's weirdly wonderful brain creating something on without a recipe or steven on phoning it in
Imagine them on Without a Recipe
I need this more then anything now oh my god
omfg pls watch the Guilty Pleasures podcast episode with Shane on it trying to convince Zach that Cars is the best pixar movie (and it worked!!!????)
Yes!!!
This aged so wellđ
When Zach catches the "woah" while Ryan sings the star wars music is ABSOLUTELY UNHINGED and I'm so here for it
Kung Pow: When Ryan started the leadup of âthereâs this one lineâ I instinctively went âthatâs a lot of nuts!!â and became overjoyed that it was ACTUALLY the line. My high school boyfriend and his best friend would quote that so nonstop that sometimes I still say it randomly.
I WAS IN SLEEPOVER. This brings me such joy. Also everyone on set was SO NICE considering I was a nobody. Sara Paxton and Evan Peters especially.
đž That's very cool, I loved the film growing up. It's lovely you have such great memories of the production. đž
a FORMATIVE part of my childhood, thank you so much for sharing this and I'm so glad you got to be in this film!! hope you're still killin it today!
I wanted to be in this movie so bad, and i wanted this movie to be my life. 10/10, favorite movie of all time
We thank you for your service in playing a role in a seminal guilty pleasure (pre?) Teen movie
Sleepover is def a banger
Zach immediately calling them out for not calling him an expert is just what I came here for đđ
When Ryan switched his #1 to #2 I was so upset.... Then I saw his #2 and I understood why he switched it to #1. Amazing lists y'all. This was phenomenal
As someone whose sung âDuel of the Fatesâ multiple times in various choirs, Ryanâs unhinged rendition is absolutely sending me. Peak comedy.
love how immediately something grotesque is mentioned: shane googles it, ryan judges him then admits, he will also look and they both react at the same time. HOW PERFECT AN INTERACTION TO DESCRIBE THEIR RELATIONSHIP.
[EDIT]: psst btw as someone who binged guilty pleasures: this crossover is super appreciated
YEAH im currently binging guilty pleasures and i saw this episode and went oooo a treat JUST for me (literally in the middle of the paddington ep w ryan)
Zach is so right that critics love to hate things that were made specifically for young girls, say it louder! đŁ also my favorite "bad" movie of all time that no one EVER talks about is Jupiter Ascending. secret space queen Mila Kunis, younger than her alien children, and dog-man Channing Tatum, "I love dogs, I've always loved dogs"
I legitimately love that movie so much. There's so much to it that's hands-down absolutely delightful! (Shoutout to the Sean "Bee"n character joke lmao)
Critics HATE things that were made for teenage girls. It sucks and it isn't fair. Sleepover was amazing!
JUPITER ASCENDING IS A F*CKING MASTERPIECE OF TERRIBLE FILM. THE F*CKING BEES? ARE YOU KIDDING. I loved that movie from start to finish it was incredible
it's so terrible, but that's what makes it SO good
Jupiter Ascending feels like someone found some random story I wrote for myself when I was a 14yr old (and may still secretly love even though I'm old enough to understand they are badly written) and decided to make it a movie.
I'd like to point out that Andrew Lloyd Webber himself (the composer of CATS) said the adaptation was so bad it made him adopt a dog
Zach being so obsessed with Sleepover is my favorite part. Most underrated movie EVER đđŒ
GIVE THE PERSON THAT DOES YOUR CLOSED CAPTIONING A RAISE!! I love y'alls CC so much!
Waaaaay more accurate than some OTHER large channels with plenty of budget I could name cough try guys cough đ€Ł
My only complaint is they spelled "duel" as "dual" lol but overall it's much appreciated!!
The one at the very start tho đđ€Ł
I'm honestly so happy that Shane and Ryan actually take the time to have their videos sent out to be captioned or have someone on the team who dedicates long hours to captioning. So many CZcamsrs don't caption their videos and it's beyond annoying to me (I'm deaf in my left ear and rely on captions to totally understand what's being communicated). I appreciate the accuracy as well because they definitely have some of the most accurate captions I've seen on the platform.
Absolutely iconic that all of them put Cats on their lists and had absolutely no other movies in common
You can tell Sara's a good match for Shane because she'll say something like "I'm reverent" while watching cats (2019)
Absolutely dying at Kung Pow being on this list, thank you Ryan. That movie feels like a fever dream from my childhood. "THAT'S A LOT OF NUTS!!!" is a core memory.
Ryan is fully unhinged in this episode and I AM HERE FOR IT
the part where he talks about seeing cats in the cinema AND the part where he talks about the rhino birth scene??? he is completely GONE LMAO
I was a little worried for him ngl đ
Ryan sang so hard his list came undone đ the way he held eye contact honestly scared me
I had to look away from the screen, the eye contact was too much for me
God Shane's number one pick took me back. When I was a kid I thought Look Who's Talking Now was HILARIOUS and would borrow it all the time from my local DVD rental place. It's still an occasional guilty pleasure of mine, I am blown away that literally anyone else still thinks about it.
Also seeing Cats in the theaters, the last movie I saw in theaters before lockdown, is an experience that I will never forget.
For real! I remember it being on HBO all the time when I was a kid.
Ryan screeching the duel of the fates was unparalleled nerd comedy. What a blessing this man is
The fact that The Room isnât on anyoneâs list is a crime. Where else can you get such iconic lines as âitâs bullshit I did not kill her I did not. Oh hai Markâ and âyouâre tearing me apart Lisaâ? Criminal.
100%
Yeah that was the one I expected would definitely be there
i did not kill her i did naahhht
Yes! I was so sure someone was going to choose it. Itâs horrible itâs iconic itâs possibly the stupidest thing Iâve ever watched and that memory of watching it fills me with joy!
perhaps because it's so well-known as a "bad movie" that makes it feel like it was too easy to put it in there? I mean, it had a film made about the making of it, including Wiseau in it.. like how "Ed Wood" was a film about the making of several "bad films" [spoilers: gonna say here, Plant 9 from Outer Space is NOT the worst film ever made. For the time, it has no worse a plot than any other sci-fi - it just didn't execute itself well, but there are far, far worse films)
Ryan's rendition of Duel of the Fates is like my favorite thing that had happened in this channel
Itâs the first video Iâve ever seen on this channel, and that was amazing.
Yes! I had to listen to it after he sang it!
Came here to say this đâ€
I sang it with them and then proceeded to cackle like a hyena. And yes, i put it on after watching this video too haha
i headbanged along to it the entire time, it was fun as hell
I'm glad the boys still talk to some of the people from buzzfeed, it's nice to know they are mostly still friends
i've never enjoyed a top 5 beatdown more. It was a perfect format for shane trolling with his list, and zach just vibing the whole time
Same!!
Definitely one of my new favorite Ryan quotes, "We get it. You're fucking wise, you have a ponytail."
Zach forgot to mention that in Sleepover, she gets sent to a bar, where she has to order a drink called "Sex ok the Beach" while sitting next to her teacher... it's a wild ride.
Also that the popular guy in high school essentially falls for a MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRL lol
"Is this movie problematic? Maybe, IDK, but I'm Asian" describes my relationship with Hollywood in so many movies
sleepover was EVERYTHING to me and my friends as young tweens. zac truly being a voice of the people here
What Iâm learning from this is that Shane loves critters in his movies
I classify Shane as a Critter (affectionate).
đ” Tell the Critters that you love, that you love them, that's enoughđ”
i could've listened to an entire four minutes of ryan recreating duel of the fates
I was running on the treadmill, and it seriously pumped me up.
Iâm traumatized lol
Same lmaoo
Iâd probably subscribe to the patreon if that was included as a bonus
Zach hitting the woah to Ryan singing Duel of the Fates can't be beat LMAO
Shane: "I wouldn't call myself a furry but-"
His list revealed himself đđđ
This is the friendliest top five beat down in history. Bad movies really bring people together
My mom was born deaf in 1925. She loved watching physical comedy such as Three stooges. When she laughed it was so fun to listen to her, because she would truly laugh.. I remember her watching the Ace Ventura movies and White Chicks. đđđđđ
Iâm so thankful that Zach mentions Little Italy, because I watched that movie late one night with my mom and it was an experience. It was so shit I loved it
Cole Smithey, the reviewer who called Ace Ventura 2 âa guilty pleasureâ, is Chris Chanâs older half brother.
Is it bad that we know that?
Does feel like forbidden knowledge đ
Can we get Zach on more episodes of Top 5? The group energy was *unmatched* in this episode.
Heâs great on puppet history
Can we get a whole video of Ryan just using mouth sounds to recreate filmâs greatest musical scores.
Literally disappointed that none of them had The Room on their list. Itâs a masterpiece of terribleness. Itâs so quotable and hilarious. đđđ
SAME
I have one of the worst Cats movie theatre experiences ever and yet it is endlessly funny to me. My friend and I waited until week three of the movie being out to go see it, because we wanted to witness it with no one else there so we could talk during it. We knew it was gonna be one of those movies. HOWEVER, right before the movie starts two new people show up. Fine, we think, we'll be nice and quiet. We were sitting in the very back row and they seemed very put out by this, and sat in the very front row. These two people preceded to full on fuck during the movie of Cats. Idk if it was just the only place they could go or what, but having two people fully fuck where we could hear and see Movement sure was an experience.
sleepover is genuinely amazing and for some reason set in the summer after 8th grade. Also I'm from Scarsdale and I can confirm the scavenger hunt still exists and the cops still hate it
I love sleepover. I was delighted with this reveal
Zach really has played a part in American history.
@@UltimateKyuubiFox truly inspired a generation of idiots to do dumb shit, and I say that as a compliment.
The fact that this was the most chaotic yet respectful episode of Top 5 Beatdown says a lot lmao
Ryanâs rendition of âDuel of the Fatesâ is by far one of the best things Iâve seen on this channel. đ
I want to be BFFs with Zach for the sole fact that he understands how great of a movie Sleepover really is! đ«
The musical rendition by Ryan alone is incredible
I need Zach to come back more. This was honestly one of the best beatdown episodes.
Thank you for giving our "movies to watch while high" list some new additions! đ
My mother in law put on Cats on our big screen tv one evening because she wanted to watch it and my cat literally poofed up and started growling and wanted to attack the tv. Even my cat was traumatized by Cats đ
'have you heard of trauma bonding?' has great tiktok sound potential
I had no idea Sleepover was considered a bad movie. I loved it as a kid. It really made me laugh, and the story was wholesome.
Same, I remember watching and being like what a good teen movie bahaha
Also, it was released WAAAYYY before Mean Girls came out. Lol.
@@adriennewidow7147no zack was right it came out 3 months after
I quote the Ace Ventura scene where he flips the Jeep and somehow lands it in the parking space like, every other day. "Like a GLOVE!"
So happy Sleepover is making its resurgence through Zach đ also if anyone is looking for some more best worst films - you need to hit up the horror genre. Itâs incredible
Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey is HYSTERICAL.
Ryanâs âLiam Neesonâ moment is giving the same energy as âbut is it fashion? It was fashionâŠâ lmao
Who else gave a standing ovation after Ryan's impromptu musical performance? That shit was awesome, and I believe this was Ryan's way of saying that Shane ain't the only one with musical chops up in here.
True.
i keep coming back to this video - a comforting video in a way? thank you especially for ryan for gracing us with the rendition of the star wars score.
The hardest I've ever seen my mother laugh was in theaters at the rhino scene in ace ventura 2. She literally slid out of her seat she couldn't stop.
2nd place for the hardest I've ever seen her laugh was in Corky Romano with Chris Katan during the scene where he's trying desperately hard to squeeze a fart out in his brother's face in front of an uncomfortable crowd.
âWe have more friends than experts â as it should be
Ryanâs Duel of Fates rendition had be laughing so hard I was crying đđ so much passion, and for so long
I was singing right along with him. 10/10
I was laughing so hard I couldnât breathe đ
I felt his rendition in my bones I think that's the only way to sing it
I didn't know that a man furiously singing Duel of the Fates at me was a thing I was into, but it does it for me. New turn on awakened
Even when theyâre not talking about unsolved cases, Ryanâs voice still sounds ominous and mysterious no matter what he talks about đ
Zach picking Little Italy and bringing up Hayden Christenson's affair sure is A Choice.
đ oooooh đ I see what you did theređđđ»
Hahahaha!!!!
Yâall should have Joey and Frankie from The Basement Yard podcast because they also like go argue passionately about useless things
Oh my GOD yes that would be amazing. ESP if the topics is something as trivial as Easter candy
@@snaileriepimpson yes exactly!!!! It would be the most iconic episode đ
THAT WOULD BE INCREDIBLE
That would be a mess of an episode and I would LOVE it!
YES!!!
I honestly loved Kung Pow Enter the Fist. Tonguey, the baby falling, everything as a kid watching that movie was hilarious.
Macâs Dad from Mac and Me was literally the scariest thing in my childhood. The way he moved horrifies me to this day.
SLEEPOVER!!! I HAD NO IDEA ANYONE ELSE REMEMBERED THIS MOVIE! ZACH, YOU KING, YOU ABSOLUTE ICON, YOU TREASURE!
Also, real talk, the idea of doing a huge scavenger hunt like that irl sounds like so much fun, I need to convince people to do it with me!
Forreal, I can't think of anything else when I see those tiny electric cars. This movie will stick with me forever
@@caithenry8429 Dude, I can't think of anything else when someone mentions electric cars! My friend got a Tesla and all I could think about was the little green car from Sleepover đ
This is a weird thing to point out but did anyone else realize that Ryan and Shane, seemingly completely independently of each other, managed to quote the exact same reviewer for two different movies? 4:16 and 6:49 for reference.
YES LOL
That poor man should've been their second expert.
these 3 have such entertaining chemistry! and CATs is terrifying.
This video is really refreshing! I love all these guys, and would love to watch more of both groups doing stuff occasionally!
Bringing Zach on for this one is TOP TIER
Sleepover IS one of the best movies ever made and Im just glad someone is finally recognizing that. Truly one of the most formative movies of my childhood
I remember watching Sleepover when it first came out. I don't remember the plot because I was just a little kid, but I remember really enjoying it, especially because I liked Spy kids. Mean Girls was too old for me and really didn't like it/get it till I was closer to adulthood. But GOOD ON YOU for supporting the 2000s-era teen adventure movies because those are often overlooked for the more 'dangerous' 80s one. One you find a good one, like a diamond in the rough, they SLAP.
Definitely would love watching you argue over best gas station convenience stores!
cats was the ultimate communal trauma bond...we made friends with everyone in that theatre cause how could you not
this abomination sparked a curiosity in me as to how it was so successful on stage and now Three Years Later i know more about this musical than i ever thought i would and my âresearchâ actually led me to liking the bizarre campy horny fantastical musical. its been a journey of self discovery
Babygirl Zach is on full display in this one! I dig it. Also Ryan's pitch-perfect aggressively scatted Duel of the Fates was *chef's kiss*
Welcome back, Beatdown!
Literally at 29:55 i said out loud "zach babygirl!!"
Love these videos so much! Could yâall do one where you list your top 5 spoof movies?
Thank you for bringing back the series! I love it!
I love how they are dressed like they are going to different placesđ
Zach : Cafe Bookshop đđ”đ
( love the sweater with black emo nails)
Shane: Bird watching đȘ¶đŠđ
( The hat is such Matilda vibes)
Ryan : Hit man on a Spain vacation đđđ·( love the hair, chain and the white shirt đ„)
Shane's touring with the Lumineers
Ryan during commercial break: stoner camp counselor âșïžđđ¶
The wire rim glasses, the cute cloud sweater, the black nails- It's a whole look and I adore it Zach đ
You guys need more episodes wt the Try Guys fr you are so funny together fr fr
I died laughing while Ryan violently sang/yelled duel of the fates. Absolutely amazing
Ryan's "Duel of the Fates" rendition cemented that we were very much the same kid growing up because that's me every time. Crazy eyes and all.
Sleepover is a CLASSIC! It should have a renaissance like the rest of the 2000s. Even Peters is also A+.
Yes! I love "Look who's talking now" had it taped on a vhs back in the day đ
I feel so seen by Ryan's performance of Duel of the Fates. That is also how I sing that song
the fact that two (2) of zachâs entries are also movies danny gonzalez made videos on really sets the tone for this one
Mac And Me being a staple of Shaneâs childhood somehow makes everything heâs done make sense now. Like speaking as someone who genuinely LOVES the Hot Daga and desperately hopes for a continuation some day, it could only come from someone who watched that movie as a kid.
Dunston Checks In is a random VHS tape I grew up watching at my grandparents's house. I think a cousin picked it out but I just watched it on repeat my entire childhood.
When Ryan sang 'Duel of the Fates', my dog looked at the screen and moved his ears with concern. đ€Ł
