Right! I followed Rhett and Link long before I found Shane and Ryan and I liked their dynamic, but these 2 pairs (because they are each a pair in terms of dynamic and complementing each other) blend in so well together! A very easy camaraderie and very similar duo-ness. Love to see it, twice!

I’ve never heard of shakeys or round table but love Lou Malnatis. You can’t say its not a chain just because they only exist in the midwest! Finally some representation thank you Shane 👏🏼
Lou malnatis has 70+ locations in the USA and Shakey’s has 56 (more worldwide but they’re talking in the US chains). So why is Ryan’s pick fine, but Shane’s isn’t? 🤔
You can absolutely say it’s not a US chain if it’s only in the Midwest. They were supposed to list US Pizza Chains; if a chain is only in one part of the country it’s not a national chain. Therefore Lou Malnatis is a Midwestern chain. There’s nothing wrong with that, but it can’t speak for all of the country until I can get it without having to leave my time zone for it. That being said, Shakey’s isn’t a national chain either; never even heard of it until this video. I had at least heard the fables of the Mighty Malnati’s even though I haven’t gotten to go to ChiTown to try it.

I think the thing that really hurt Pizza Hut was a lack of commitment to quality ingredients, they went from dough made fresh daily to factory-made dough that was preformed and frozen, from fresh-cut vegetables to pre-cut that came in bags and always seemed really old and suspect.
EXACTLY. I genuinely haven't had Pizza Hut in 11 years because the last time I had it, I got serious food poisoning WHILE ON VACATION. I have a vendetta against them now 👍🏻
Literally, they have the worst pizza I have ever eaten
And somehow they still haven't learned that lesson. I tried it again recently and I literally ate one piece and threw the whole pie out, it was so bad.
I worked at an unspecified large Pizza chain for a year and when the food expired they told us to just change the labels! Especially the meat! :)

Okay, this'll get some flak, but I kinda want to stand up for Little Caesar's.
Is it the best? No. But considering how cheap it is, I think it holds up.
I mean, for something that's like half what I'd get charged at for Pizza Hut or Domino's, it's pretty good. Maybe not Top 5 material, but I think it's at least an honorable mention.

Every domino’s I’ve ever been to has a 3 topping large pizza deal for 7.99. I get it like every other month. Little Caesar’s is trash
Little Caesar's would be at the top of my list. Domino's crust is too dry, Pizza Hut makes me sick (I think it's the cheese?), Papa John's sauce is way too sweet for me. And Little Caesar's is FIVE DOLLARS! It's never made me sick, and I've never had a bad slice.

The Round Table slander from Rhett and Link shocked me!! Thanks Ryan for the comeback :D It's my dad's absolute favorite place. We used to live in CA and moved when I was in high school. Every time we go back to visit family, one of his requirements is we have to get Round Table

I grew up with the delicious food at Shakey's Pizzeria and Pub. It is nostalgic and had a specific flavor that I have not found since. Being a culinary connoisseur, I discovered that it is olive oil cooked/fried cheese (1st to mix provolone and mozzarella).

I'm so pleased that Ryan redeemed Round Table at the end. Me and my family have a multi-generational obsession with that pizza. There's definitely a strong nostalgia factor, but I genuinely enjoy the heck out of that King Arthur's supreme. The more common chains like Pizza Hut and Domino's cannot compete in terms of quality.

My family's obsession with Round Table is so strong that when my dad moved to Arizona and found out they didn't have any Round Tables there, he seriously looked into franchising one himself (sadly it didn't happen so they're still Round Table-less down there). I was thinking the whole time "i can't believe nobody's listed Round Table yet", was aghast when the others started shitting on it, and then felt vindicated to see Ryan finally list it as his #1. Round Table's _so good,_ I've never had any other chain pizza that even comes close, what the fuck are these guys smoking?!
So glad they put in Sbarro, never understood the hate, it’s always been really really good, a step above all the pizza chains. It’s closer to a local NY style pizza joint IMO.

Today I learned California pizza kitchen isn’t just a frozen pizza brand but an actual restaurant chain. I also learned about all these others chains cause I only knew 3 of them
Idk if Godfather's pizza is something that's around anywhere anymore, but they had a dessert pizza that was amazing. It was the crust, butter, cinnamon/brown sugar struesal drizzled with an icing like you find on cinnamon rolls. 😋

I legitimately thought Domino’s was gonna be everyone’s number 1, and I was ready to be excited because I love Domino’s. My brother used to work there when I was younger and it was quite…not good back then. So it’s a similar to Rhett and Link’s sentiment, except years before.
As someone who grew up in the south, I have to say, while most people seem to like thin crust pizzas, for me deep dish is simply hands down the best pizza. While I understand this is a personal preference, I think people have no reason to shit on it, and for those of us who love it, it is hard to find. I have now been told there is a restaurant I can order a frozen high quality deep dish from and for that I have to say THANK YOU Shayne. Truly something I am happy to learn.

Shakey's is legit tho. There might only be west coast ones still open, but when I was a kid they were in all parts of the country.
It's Ryan's Filipino side that chose Shakey's. We have 180+ branches of Shakey's all over the Philippines. We love that sh!t!
Ryan does not have sophisticated tastes. He’s straight up middle-America, which is funny because he’s from California.

i think the garlic sauce from papa johns is fine not necessarily great on solid pizzas but if you have extra in the fridge it can really elevate some of the frozen pizzas you can get at grocery stores or gas stations

You don't say words like that without them being normalized to you first, especially saying them in a professional setting. It takes a certain level of trash to have a lexicon of words, including the word "fucker" or "shitbag" and he chose... that word. Knowing what it meant to say it. Then doubled down on it.
