Super useful cheers, built a setup using digital sticks, now want analogue ones and this was just the resource I needed
Glad to hear you found it helpful!
I am obsessed with that type of analog joystick and touchpad sensors, like the one on the steamdeck, there will be an arcade control with an analog joystick and a touchpad, both with buttons that can be pressed, to be able to play devil may cry or ninja gaiden, even a gears of war; can you build one?🙂🙃😊😃
There may be a way to connect a touchpad to the USB port of the Xbox adaptive controller. It's also theoretically possible to connect a touchpad to a Brook Wireless Fighting board but I haven't tried it. The Brook WFB is what I've used so far to build my own custom controllers.
Thanks for the detailed instructions and links! Any suggestions on finding a joystick topper for quads? Or a link to a 3D printer file for a quad topper?
Glad you found it helpful! I haven't found a good joystick topper for quads. I do have some ideas on making some. I have the materials but haven't had a chance to try it yet. Are you thinking a goalpost topper similar to what electric wheelchairs have?
@@enabled5714 Yes! Goalpost type topper. Like Warfighter Engaged's JOYSTIX-L "hand rest"
Great job! Thanks a lot for all you do!
This is so helpful. I'm making an original "arcade" game. It's essentially pong but in real life as a tabletop game. This video is very helpful to figure out how to wire it to my arduino. I'm wondering what the voltage should be? or does it matter? My board is 12v so that would be easiest but I can attach a regulator to make it 5v.
Hi @haryeti, I have never tried it so try at your own risk, but I think it will work fine using 12V.
@@enabled5714 I tried it out last night, 12v gave a lot more deadzone at the upper limits of the movement range.
@@haryeti Interesting, thanks for the feedback
Hi would these work on the playstation access controller
Hi, I don't know much about the PlayStation access controller but if it uses the standard 3.5mm format for analog sticks then theoretically yes, this will work.
@enabled5714 hi ya Thanks for the reply yes they use the 3.5mm jack 4 pin
