I can't believe this works! The only problem? Only 8 buttons work. So is it worth it to you? As far as I know, using the adaptive controller is the only way to get the side panel to work on Xbox.

@@DenaliGuy101 That’s what I was using in this video. You have to have the adaptive controller or it will not work. And with only having the ability to use eight different buttons, it is a complete waste of money because it will cost you between $250 and $300 just to use those eight buttons
So I did this about 6 weeks ago and used buttons from ebay and some aux cables and made a fully functioning button box so it can be done with a little work😂

Maybe those extra buttons are for tractors with planters, to turn that on and stuff like that.
The side panel is just cool and makes you really feel like your in the cab besides I like the joystick and it would Be great for logging and wheel loader applications which would be great for my style of role/game play

I wonder if you could get it to work if you used the drivehub? It let's you use playstation steering wheels on an xbox and vice versa, so I wonder if it could get the side panel to work on xbox as well

Some of those buttons correlate to other vehicles that's the reason why they don't work I have the side panel for the PS4 and every button works depending on what vehicle you're in, Xbox I'm really not sure because I don't have the Xbox One or the newest Xbox and I don't have the side panel for that system.
But I'm pretty sure it'll work if you had a different vehicle fully.
Also I hope with the new fs22 they give us support for the side panel and to configure the controls in game.
Because I really like to configure my controls to my comfort of my hand or if I'm using my side panel.
And the side panel yes it is worth it but you got to have at least a desk setup or a way of accessing it from where you're sitting.

I use a Logitech g920 and a elite controller with all the controls programmed to the right side so I steer with my left hand and use the controller in my right hand

The Logitech g920 steering wheel and pedals work just fine without the adaptive controller. Just plug the USB directly to the Xbox and it works. You still need a regular controller for camera controls and such, but that's how I've been playing FS19 for a long time on Xbox. 👍
Wish they had joystick capabilities though
But yes I just pull the left paddle in and use joystick for bucket controls and such

Cool I use the g920 wheel currently wouldn’t mind getting that set up
On xbox just have a standard controller as a secondary and use the joysticks on it
Change the USB from the side panel to LB the left bumper cause that’s where all the bucket controls are

Not on Xbox. The only thing that’s good for on Xbox is accessing the pause menu and the store. It’s basically pointless

i believe if you use a “xim” device which is used to spoof for a keyboard and mouse for games you usually can’t use them on it should be able to wlrk

I’ve tried this and won’t work, I have Xbox one, got the adaptive controller plugged in to Xbox, then plugged the steering wheel and side panel into it, got nothing but a blue light on the side panel.

Flashfire wheels are the best for those types of games imo
You can either try Walmart or Amazon to purchase those items.
I haven't looked on Amazon for the price on those two items but I bought mine for only like 200 something and that was just a side panel.
I do know u can use a wheel and xbox controller at the same time on fs19 that's how I do it but still no side panel
I think on Xbox that is still the best way honestly! I played around a little bit more after recording this video driving, but I found myself not even touching the side panel
If you're on PS4 you can use both controller and side panel but like DJ said you barely touch the panel sometimes or you even forget you have it.
Because I have my PS4 setup so that I have a keyboard mouse and the side panel and I end up using the side panel once in a while one because I don't have it mounted to a desk and two I'm just so used to using controller but I'm trying to get a steering wheel and puddles so I can stop using controller.
It's not even Keyboard and Mouse supported for Xbox Series and that may be the root cause of the problem with side panel not working. I think that the Xbox Series needs a base of the keyboard integration in order to allow more advanced controllers to function like they do in MSFS 2020.

Wait do you have to have the white controller thing?
Yes. I've done tests before and it doesn't work. It SHOULDN'T work on PlayStation, yet it does. But not on Xbox. You have to have the Adaptive Controller to make it work on the Xbox, but only the top 8 buttons and the stick work on Xbox. You cant change that up, at least that I've been able to do.

you are going to issues with logitech in general both on xbox and pc..
PC is just fine. Works like a charm
@@DjGoHamGaming they are hit and miss for functioning especially with the older wheels and and so forth
you have serious issues if you require an adaptive controller on either xbox series x or xbox one x the issue is likely to be the controller itself causing issues , this has been a known issues within logitech for quite some time with their steering wheels 1 min they work next min they fail...
