    Outstanding eye candy this morning! Flights on days like this make me miss the Baron. Like that brief cloud surfing on the descent. Good commentary during the flight. Impressed with your cockpit professionalism.

      We’re happy you enjoyed the video, and thank you for the compliments! Anytime we get the opportunity to go cloud surfing, it’s always appreciated. There’s nothing else like it.

      Thanks TJ, will do! Our cattle (we're starting with 21 pregnant heifers) should be arriving within a month. We're really getting things going now!

    I have never seen anybody fly with their POS on their lap! That’s definitely an interesting way to be prepared for sure. Great flight! Live well.

      It’s not the whole POH - As I said in the video, that one’s 4 inches thick, but it’s the good parts for sure. It’s a big airplane, I’ve got the room, and I always have a snack table ready to go! Glad you enjoyed the flight. All the best, Russ!

    Great flight A.J. The Abacos are one of my favorite Bahamas destinations. Presley recognized Shelby talking from your back seat and reminded us that she has bunk beds at the farm! That left quite an impression! I guess bunk beds are in my future!

      Both our kids love the bunk beds at the farm. For a kid, it's hard to beat the novelty of a bunk. I bet your girls would love it.
      Cows should arrive within a month. Let the girls know that next time you all are over for a visit, there's going to be some more animals to see!

    I have wondered what all you had in your note book. I also keep a log of the frequencies that I’m assigned. Thank you for the content of your videos. Always enjoy. Can’t wait to see the progress on the farm.

      We're always happy to share, Paul. Thanks for watching! We're just happy to hear that you enjoy our stuff! The farm updates are going to be a fun addition for us, once we start putting them out. We're still getting the pieces to fit together at the moment, but we're a little happier with our little operation every week. The chickens just started laying, and the cattle are arriving soon, likely in the next month!

      MOSAIC is moving along faster than expected. Flying magazine just did an article about it. I hope it happens sooner rather than later for your sake. Until then, we’re always happy to have you ride along.

      @DoubleDawgDare it will not become law until late next year but if it becomes law as written, it is going to revolutionize light sport aviation. Far exceeded anyone's expectations

      2. Speed from 120knots to 250knots
      3. Constant speed prop
      4. Retractable gear
      5. Night flight ( with 3rd class med or basic med)
      6. Four seat aircraft allowed
      7. Stall speed from 45knt to 54knt
      8. No limit on engine type( turbine and multi engines)
      9. Light sport helicopters

      I wasn’t aware of all the details, but that sounds awesome if it passes as written.

    Excellent views and camera angles - have you flown into TCB (Treasure Cay) Abaco?

    • @DoubleDawgDare
      @DoubleDawgDare  Před 10 měsíci

      Thank you for the compliment! Regarding Treasure Cay, not yet, but we will likely make the trip within the next 18 months as we slowly pick our way through all the airports of entry in the Bahamas. We are really looking forward to Treasure Cay! Any suggestions?

    Have you ever observed all the Aztecs used out in the bahamas there are quit a few....

    • @DoubleDawgDare
      @DoubleDawgDare  Před 11 měsíci

      I've heard it's the official bird of the Bahamas. We've definitely noticed. They've got good taste in planes out there.
      I suspect it's because of the excellent hauling/lifting abilities, short field performance, and good single engine capabilities. These characteristics are important for island flying.

    OCD much? Just like a surgeon😅. I keep all of that in a Dropbox folder on my laptop that continuously syncs with foreflight so I have it on every device with foreflight. And it’s searchable so no having to flip through folders. That includes all of my POH/ICA medical insurance etc. There are LOI that say it can be electronic as well as paper.

    • @DoubleDawgDare
      @DoubleDawgDare  Před 11 měsíci

      I just can’t turn off the surgeon part of my personality, that’s my default state. I wouldn’t say it’s pathologic, but probably close, depending on who you ask. I’ll have to take a look at digitizing the documents. It might take a little time to get everything scanned and filed appropriately, but it’s probably worth doing. I like your system.

    How often to you get to fly?

    • @DoubleDawgDare
      @DoubleDawgDare  Před 11 měsíci

      Depends on my work schedule, but I’ve generally averaged about 120-150 hours per year. Last month was big; we took an extended vacation and flew 35 hours in a week and a half.
