If they didn't though these videos likely wouldn't exist for us to enjoy also it makes me realise my mum's driving isn't that bad
Buying a dash cam makes them right. And if there's any semblance of doubt, then angrily hitting the save button surely confirms their superior driving skill.

I've never had a driving lesson, and only driven sim... But In my opinion right up to the clip at 1:44 all of the cammers were not paying attention, or driving too fast... Edit: Even in that clip, although the overriding factor is the two lunatics overtaking. In my understanding, you are supposed to give cyclists the same amount of space on the road as you would do a car, therefore she was being a little impatient, overtaking them, and crossing the chevrons to do so...
The amount of people that would rather deal with the headache of an avoidable crash to prove a point is sickening.

It's terrifying how many people are far quicker to hit the horn than their bloody brakes.
Remember kids, whenever you see something happen in front of you, DO NOT press the brake, this decreases your chance of getting a good dashcam video which decreases the amount of clout you get!!! Always cause a scene or an accident to improve the quality of the dashcam, safety is not a priority. The dashcam video is number one priority!

And remember, in the UK the odds of the other driver having a handgun are extremely small so lay on that horn for at least 10 seconds. Don't acknowledge that someone else could be lost and a signal means they are just trying to find their way. From the US here and it's nice to see that other countries are just as bad as we are. Your roads and roundabouts are confusing. That motorcycle that pulled into the roundabout. How did he have the right of way before he got hit? And by all means, pull up aggressively on every bus you see.
Majority of these clips is what I immediately think of when I hear "dashcammer". Self righteous, ignorant people who go out of their way to be the victim.

I have a dashcam and probably only 10 clips in just under 500,000 miles that are worth sharing and probably another 15 clips of people driving into my unoccupied parked car. These people are out trying to find issues just so they can hit the save button and make themselves look like a clown.
"What's this? A car has just pulled out in front of me when I have right of way? Well I guess I'll just have to accelerate right into it, that'll teach them!"

I love how these people when they see a car on a collision course, they either speed up or take no action to slow down. It's almost like they want to show the world their cam footage, not realising they're just incriminating themselves as total idiots 🙄
I think people that choose not to take action to avoid a collision should be half to blame for it.
I'm 14 (nearly 15) and when I see how these cammers drive, it makes me feel like that I can easily get a driving license at this age.
Maybe the car companies should just connect the horn to the brakes. Seeing as so many just beep instead of taking any kind of evasive action 😂

I wish the Highway Code was more specific about safely lane merging. Too much superstition going round. Nearly had my car written off by a lane guardian lorry driver suddenly pulling out into the overtaking lane to block me the same day I bought my current car.

In Portugal People normally flash their lights so People get out of the way. In the UK I was on the highway ready to overtake and a guy on the right lane was flashing their lights and I was like ok he is in a hurry but he was actually letting me overtake and I thought: Damn the british are really polite.
I think the cammer appears to flash the bus as he goes over a speed hump, so the bus sees the flash, but the cammer doesn’t realise. Not really an idiot (Like most of the others!)

It only takes one driver to not be paying attention and brake really hard to cause a collision. A stopped car on a motorway is dangerous because of the speeds involved, 60mph is no different.

It never ceases to amaze me how many impatient, rude, idiotic drivers there are on the roads, a lot of whom are happy to send in clips of their own poor driving skills.
Apparently, several of these drivers don't have any appreciation of how difficult it is to drive a bus on narrow streets and how helpful they could be by simply allowing some extra turning space for drivers of large vehicles.
I think people like that just have incredibly low self-esteem so they jump at any chance to bring someone else down.

Didn't accelerate towards him. I accelerated onto the roundabout from a standing start and he didn't stop. Unfortunately I don't have ESP. I had No idea he wasn't going to stop. Fortunately the insurance saw 100% in my favour after seeing the footage. So if they thought like you I'd not be seem as a non fault accident.

11:22 DefiantFox, as you were indicating to turn left and the car to the left of the bus flashed, the bus was coming out first, and it needed lots of room to make the turn because it's 12 metres long compared to your 3 or 4 metres car. Something so simple made more difficult because you couldn't use common sense. Contrary to what you said, are you "right in the head," DefiantFox?
Then there was your second clip. No words.
This is pretty much the only clip in the whole thing where the cam car was perfectly right. Bus does not have right of way and decided to come out when defiant fox (asshole) was about 5 metres away.

Cyclist was clearly visible and hence damned obvious the bus would overtake it. Shite observation and poor planning by the camper which sadly is pretty obvious in the majority of these videos.
I'd put most of the blame on the bus driver.
Peter probably shouldn't have tried to do a double overtake, but the road ahead was clear for a long while, so it would have been possible.
The bus driver on the other hand did nothing to avoid that situation. He didn't indicate to let others know he was overtaking and he didn't check his mirror to see if someone was overtaking him. And since he's in the bigger vehicle he should definitely be making sure he isn't turning in to someone.
Very clearly and upsettingly reminds me of how many c****** we have on the road here in the UK. Imagine putting a video online of you in the wrong whilst thinking you're not so everyone in the world can see it 🤦
To have a dash cam I think you should need an extra license, so to stop idiots like these.

I think the lessons we can all learn here are patience, and basic anticipation of hazards, many of these people providing footage should be forced to retake their tests imo.
12:12 - Errm you can see bus wants to be in the left lane, you want to go faster than the bus, you flashed at the bus... your only move would be to undertake the bus or go into the third lane which is both problematic/illegal, so why are you so angry? You could have easily slipped in behind the bus. I often do that with slower vehicles, I swap places because I am an adult and it helps when everyone gets to their journey quicker than throwing my dummy out the pram!

Most of these people seem to think a dashcam is there to save them from actually looking at what's happening in front of them and frees them from any blame for stupidity.
I'd love to know how many of them denied having a dashcam to their insurance company when claiming for their totally avoidable accidents.
Some of these cammers are pretty special, you have cammers giving priority to other cars when they have priority whilst creating a major hazard, speeding towards hazards (playing chicken with other cars/pedestrians), tailgating large vehicles then blames them for being in the wrong and wondering why they got hint and crossing over lanes on roundabout or even going into another last minute and beeping other cars because they don’t know what the heck the cammer is doing!
Sums up the year nicely.

Poor light usage from the traffic unit however. The red “rear guards” should be used in conjunction with the regular blue lights as the blue lights are far more visible and powerful. Exception being at night
@@MementoMori-xx5qo Got nothing to do with that at all. When police stop traffic due to debris, they don't slam their brakes on, the traffic is brought to a slow stop - it's happened to me. The driver just wasn't paying attention to the vehicles stopped infront.

Just watched this and thought the exact same thing, god knows why people pull into the inside lane when there are cars clearly trying to join and the other lanes are clear.
The lack of hazard perception (eg seeing brake lights ahead, seeing vehicles indicating, identifying vehicles likely to move out ahead of them etc) from many of the dashcam users is shocking. Let alone the way many carry on at the same speed or even speed up into risky situations. And then they start getting all ragey and sweary. Still…makes it all entertaining!
Some incredible clips here. Amazing how the people in these videos are blissfully unaware of how terrible their standard of driving is. The lack of awareness, planning, consideration.... Makes you wonder where they got their license!

Yeah this could have been a good video but everyone here has a hard on for calling out the cammers. Some of the compilations these were lifted from had other drivers nearly killing people in head on crashes but they'd rather have a go at Barry for speeding up towards a bus 😴

I live in swindon and they have got a sign prior to that saying it should only be used for going straight on for the motorway.

2:35 is completely his own fault. At the point that the oncoming car is seen, it is already established on that side of the road and passing the junction. The dashcammer could have been on his way a lot sooner if he had just slowed down, and let the oncoming car into the passing spot, which is what the oncoming car was aiming for. Richard B needs to plan a little more and not be so reactive. Poor skills.
