I find it hilarious that nobody here knows or remembers what a MINI roundabout is. (Or at least used to be). A MINI roundabout is simply a painted roundabout and was meant to be driven over. It it (was) literally a painted road marking that meant "treat the junction like a roundabout by giving way to the right". Unfortunately, the younger generation is full of absolute numpties who just couldn't quite grasp this ever so simple concept... so the DVLA saw fit to change the law to accommodate for the dumb and now have to go around the bloody things. Us wiser, older and more experienced drivers were quite happy, once upon a time, to drive the fuck over them and give way to the right. Shame the country's full of double digit IQs now.

3:50 You pulled out therefore it's your responsibility to look BOTH ways to ensure it's safe to do so. The car on the main carriageway chose a poor place to overtake but that doesn't negate the responsbility of the driver joining the main flow of traffic.

Came here to add a comment about Stephen and his roundabout technique, but realised everyone else agrees, so Stephen if you went AROUND the roundabout then not one of your videos would have been necessary

I use these vids as a bit of learning as I am a new driver. Genuinely spent like 5 minutes wondering why Stephen would have uploaded a clip of their own mess-up (i assumed i just misunderstood something), then i see every comment talking about it haha.

After watching Penny Lane clip many times the cyclist is looking for a claim but you can see they brake to a near stop before supposing falling off !, should get done for fraud..

Unbelievable to see how many people would risk their (and others) lives to save literally a matter of seconds on their journey.

Honestly as a Lorry driver I see a lot on roads and believe me I think some people found they licence in pack of Chrisps or they win bid on eBay 🤷‍♂️🫣

4:51 i live on that road why make an issue out nothing it could been a non issue. you prob the cyclists a bit further down fly down the other side hill and barge through past cars on your side ive seen it been done between a bus and parked cars. ive cycled down this countless times and driven ive never had an issue just take time at top pick your time to go if on a bike is a non issue if car or van comes through esp if they stop you have loads space to get past . just making issue out nothing. further down is where cyclists are suicidal as they fly down hill to have as much speed to climb this one and do not stop when parked cars on there side (coming the other direction) and almost daily if not sometimes many times a day they forced a car to hit curb to avoid id not swerve to avoid when they should waited just so they keep up as much speed as possible. must be 100's near misses yearly cyclist at fault just at bottom this hill and amazed they not been crushed by bus you a truck carrying skip as those wide and very little room for cyclists to fit past parked cars and squeeze through a gap with on coming traffic when they are already committed. making an issue out nothing , ive cycled and driven this road 100's of thousands of times and never had big issue if car come every time they reversed if driving and cycling i make it a non issue as loads room to pass
