      Followers of Christ were not "breaking" the 10 commandments, or that would have been addressed (Lu.23:56).
      Today people 'covet' everything that is not theirs...'which is idolatry'.
      And few take 'every word' to heart (Matt.4:4). Nice comments you have; what spirit are you of?

    A person can argue that the Sabbath was a "Mosaic" institution, but i can also argue that unicorns exist. It doesn't mean i'd be right, just like the argument about the Sabbath being a "Mosaic" institution wouldn't be right. Gen. 2:1-3 shows that the Sabbath is as old as the human race itself. It didn't begin with Moses, nor did it come from Moses. Exo. 16 clearly shows God giving Israel the knowledge of its existence, so it was an existing duty long before Moses was ever born.

    Not once do we hear to read, and study, and meditate daily on the Word of GOD! and pray for Him to teach us by His Spirit. Truth has been here for 2000 years and few 'there be that find' it. All the answers to every question is in the Word, that we need to humble our hearts, and give us grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. In Hebrews, at least, we are instructed to exhort one another 'daily', take up our cross daily, and resist sin 'unto blood', as Jesus 'endured the cross', humbly. There is no Christian pride in receiving 'the love of the truth'.
    Having all the answers is not enough, if people do nothing except talk.
    Not enough questions, not enough answers, not enough time...we have so much more to do...hmmm

    Jesus said that true worship is in spirit and in truth. In John 4:23-24, Jesus tells the woman at the well, "But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth."
    This statement emphasizes the importance of the internal, spiritual nature of worship, rather than external forms or rituals. It is important to remember that the form of worship is not the essence of worship. Ultimately, the heart and attitude of the worshipper are what matter most. As Jesus said, true worship is in spirit and in truth, and it is the sincerity and authenticity of our worship that matters most to God.

    The Lord’s Day. From kyriake hemera in Revelation 1:10, the meaning of this hapax legomenon must be deduced first from the limited immediate context, then from the broader biblical context, and finally from the preponderance of extra-biblical data. Among CS and LD communities, the most common and defensible understanding is that kyriake hemera refers to the first day of the week, Sunday, which commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the grave. “It was simply, by the normative custom of the apostolic church, the day on which Christians met to worship, and, for us, the use of its title, the Lord’s Day, in Revelation 1:10 gives that custom the stamp of canonical authority.”It is to be distinguished from the “day of the Lord”-a yet future period when the Lord shall interrupt the plans of mankind to effect His promise to fully bless, redeem, and sanctify His people; to judge and punish those who rejected Him; and to re-fashion the astrophysical world into the fullness of His glorious kingdom. While the Sabbath was identified by the Lord as “His holy day” (Isa 58:13) the Israelites did not refer to it by anything other than shabbat. Hence, John’s singular use of this term is highly unlikely a reference to the Sabbath

      Calvin’s commentary on 1 Corinthians 3:4;
      each one gloried in his particular master, as though Christ were not the one Master of all (Matthew 23:8.) Now, where such ambition still prevails, the gospel has little or no success. You are not, however, to understand that they declared this openly in express words, but the Apostle reproves those depraved dispositions to which they were given up. At the same time it is likely, that, as a predilection arising from ambition is usually accompanied with an empty talkativeness, [153] they openly discovered by their words the absurd bias of their mind, by extolling their teachers to the skies in magnificent terms, accompanying this at the same time with contempt of Paul and those like him.

    The "Lord's day" is mentioned only once in the Bible, in the book of Revelation chapter 1 verse 10. In this verse, the apostle John says that he was "in the Spirit on the Lord's day". The meaning of "the Lord's day" is not the Sabbath or a day of worship. "The Lord's day" is a reference to the eschatological day of the Lord, a future day of judgment and salvation. Preterists believe that Day was in 70 AD.

      Maybe you can help him see that 1Cor.4:3 speaks of 'man's judgment(lit.'day').
      It's true that Rev.1:10 is not speaking of a literal day of the week. The words 'sabbath' and 'week' are the same Greek word. And Lu.23:56 does having Christ's followers 'resting' on that day 'according to the commandment'.
      But it's the other 9 commandments that people "break" every single day, in their heart. The 'wicked' are those that have not God 'in all their thoughts' (Ps.10:4). The righteous and 'elect' cry 'unto Him day and night' (Lu.18:8), don't we.
