Hello Kezia! i am in my sophomore year studying fine arts in uni and in this summer holiday, i didn't paint anything, cuz i was burdened by my ability to do beautiful paintings and affirmation from the others in the past. I am scared that if i tried anything new and turned up "ugly", my friends and family will be disappointed, and i will think that my art is getting worse.
today, my frd talked to me about ugly art, and i found your video. thank you for that, i will make ugly art now hehehehehheh.
Yay!
Great message - I'm guessing almost all art has an ugly phase, even when you feel very practiced. But yea.. have fun, screw up, practice, play! (Welcome back) Great lesson for life in general, actually. Magic words .. "and I got paid for it!"
Thank you, Bernie. :)
Perfection: aiming for beauty in the eye of youre target audience. Especially for those that love you till death.
Yes, it was helpful as so many of your videos are, having just discovered you only yesterday! (I I am a longtime wannabe painter with a million excuses for not getting started--or when I do get started I toss the ugly stuff.
