    I just discovered your channel.
I am just a beginner to the world of art. I expect to much of myself. If my painting looks nothing like the vision I had in my head I get frustrated. Your advice is just what I needed to hear. I can just breathe and learn from my 100 ugly paintings. That it's okay to let it be, let go and let the paint brush flow!!!!

I am so happy you found me. Rarely does the painting look like our vision, but I feel our goal is to get into the right brain to allow this special flow to happen. Once you start second guessing yourself, stop and go back to the playful "brush flow" to happen!! For me it was after I did 100 pieces where I allowed myself to be free, so I knew what that felt like!!

It may sound strange, but a goal of creating 100 ugly paintings actually reduces my anxiety about starting. Having the pressure I put on myself to put out the 'perfect' painting is such a barrier. Thanks for these insights.

I took a risk sharing my thoughts on this one, but it WORKED FOR ME!!! I do this every single year. It allows, as you say, to take the pressure off. Thank you for sharing your thoughts Barbara

I appreciate that so much. I even paid for music that is supposed to help .... I'll keep trying to work a solution. I pay more for music than I get in return on CZcams!!! I promise, I am trying

Maria, I just also purchased a really quality microphone for my art studio and hopefully that will help with the voice while I am painting...... thank you for helping me!!

Very good advice. I'm more of a crafter than painter - unless painting walls - and well on my way to 40 ugly paintings. Just wanted my own personal work of art and appreciate the journey of creating something I really like. Hopefully, something worthy (in my opinion) of hanging will emerge.

Peggy, IT WILL!!! I remember feeling like that and as I keep going, I felt more like it would and it did. Keep playing, exploring and as you mentioned, "appreciate the journey!!!" I am looking forward to your journey!!

Hi thank you so much for your advise and how to incorporate the deli paper onto a painting what great idea! And your other tips and tips you shared. I know this has been asked before could you please not play the same music right through the video, it is distracting. It has been advised to put it down but in doing so can’t Hear your voice.

Maria, I just had several people request music during the video to help them paint. It is so hard to please everyone and I am trying so hard. I apologize to you
