- Hello and welcome to Saabkyle04! CZcams's largest collection of automotive variety! In today's video, we'll take an up close and personal, in depth look at the first generation, Cadillac CTS-V.

During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

That interior is so old school! I love it! It's been 18 years and that bad boy is still sharp.
The CTS-V is a nice American performance sedan. I imagine the new 2016 CTS-V will be priced like the new Z06 Vette, going from $78K all the way to close to $100K loaded. A lot of people liked the 2nd-gen CTS-V for what it was, and it was a huge ginormous jump from the 1st-gen CTS-V from all angles.
I love this car and for those wining about the interior oh well.
When Cadillac took off! No looking back from here.

This is my first car, same year and color, awesome ride.
I'm trying to get one as my first car are they good I drove and learned manual in my dad's 2013 mustang 5.0. Would this be an ok car?
If you're able to be responsible with the speed than yes, I have a short shifter on mine, the stock trans is pretty loose.

Love those cars but the exaust needs to be more deep and louder
It's Cadillac's first high performance sedan so they decided to mute the exhaust sound not trying to appeal to boy racers. The CTS-V after this model had a much louder exhaust.

Agreed. That's why I invested about $700 to upgrade the exhaust at a performance shop recommended by my dealership. Made a world of difference and bumped the performance up a notch. And the sound is fantastic.

I should start saving lots of money and buy all 3 models (2004, 2013 sedan, and the 2018 sedan) of the CTS-V. Great car to drive.
Kyle when the new CTS-V comes out next year or in 2016, are you going to plan on making an exhaust comparison between the three models of CTS-V in the future? That would be really cool to watch and see the changes Cadillac made over the years.

It's got a Volant Air Box..........very nice! The induction noise is pretty nice........but I noticed that it has a long ramp down once you rev it a bit.

Ahh yes, use the LS6 instead of the brand's Northstar V8.
At the time, the Northstar V8 had not been adapted for RWD use yet...it was in progress, but we would not see it until it was fitted for the XLR.
Of course, the 4.4L supercharged Northstar V8 made 40 more hp than the gas hog 5.7L LS6.
cough* cough* and the STS-V, everyone always forgets that the STS existed after 2002. :(

V dont have self leveling shocks at the rear and i took my stock V to 13.2 at 107mph on bold rear tires and air at 1200 feet. :)

Alecmartin01 They're not just at Maserati and Ferrari dealerships, some are at existing Fiat dealerships. Such as here in San Diego we do have a Ferrari/Maserati Dealer but Fiat of San Diego will be selling them. So it's possible they're being sold there as well at a Fiat Dealer.

I own this car and then saw the video online. The motor mounts were shot. But were replaced with creative steel race mounts. And it hauls ass.
