In October 1976, Chevy, before he left what was then called "NBC's SATURDAY NIGHT", did a "commercial" for "milk"...and kept screwing up the "ad copy" by making rude and irrevent remarks about the product {"And milk leaves you with that awful sour breath, and white stuff in the corners of your mouth..."}. I wonder if doing commercials like this was his inspiration....
