If the air holes in your wheels are taped that could affect top speed because the tires aren’t expanding as much.
Only 5 mph extra with 46 tooth spur huh? I think ill just keep mine stock speed. I'm happy with the stock speed.
I agree, I’m a rookie I have 1 axial scx10ii deadbolt I’ve modded pretty good and it’s cool but wanted something fast so bought a Xmaxx and holy crap plenty good the way it is for awhile at least !! Lol

@@mateo85tx I bought the xmaxx like maybe 3 or 4 weeks ago? Also bought a Losi DBXL-E 2.0 a week after the xmaxx. The Losi i already modded with a xlx2 1100kv combo with 18 tooth pinion and my GOD the thing does like nearly 80 mph! I had to buy a set of belted tires for it so I wouldn't destroy the stock tires. The Xmaxx will stay stock for me. 🙂
I won't even run mine unless it does 55 or more i think its too boring. But I have had rcs for 30 years trucks done 40mph or more 20 years ago.

Don't get me wrong I think these are amazing trucks. And I'm sure they're fun. But for as much as they cost I would expect them to go 70 or something. Yeah I get their bigger but both of my 116 and 114 trucks g0 50 plus miles an hour on a 3s 2847-4000kv motor. What am I missing here?

Nice. In the manual it says to avoid the additional spur if doing jumps and shit. Guess that's bull?? Also do you seal your stock wheels. Mine all broke up real quick running in the wet. Subscribed!!
What gearing do you advise for regular offroad/grass bashing but with a little bit more speed then stock the stock out of the box gearing

I liked the 1600 big block motor better than the new one they use. Burned mine up last year they sent me that new 1200, I’m not digging that thing
