  • More and more powerful VTX's are still coming out for analog, and although it seems rare that you'd actually need this sort of power - it's nice to have the option. YourFPV kindly sent over this 3W VTX to test (several months ago, but the weather has been abysmal) So off to the field we went to try it out.

    You should setup vtx power on a switch. That way you can change power in the air and see how it behaves at different powers.

      It can be useful - but I like to look at a full round trip on powers so I can see differences along the way. It only take a few minutes to go out the 1km and back, so easy to land, change power and repeat

    Awesome flying and review, Wayne! 😃
    Let's see how it behaves on 3w!

    I dared to show my analog DVR footage on my last video, the comments were pretty spicy.
    My therapy sessions are cheap, at least ;-)

      Haha - I show a lot of DVR stuff, because quite often it's a case of putting the VTX on test, and I much prefer showing people the picture I'm getting rather than the lovely stabalised HD

    Saw this vtx on aliexpress was tempted to try it, thankfully I didn't. I found other new 2.5w vtx as well like geprc maten and hglrc zeus 2.5w but where more expensive. Eventually I went with pandarc bat, since I had good experience with their older model, 1w with fan. This one has good results even on 25mw and rarely use 1w except when flying in the mountains. I hope the 2.5w version performs as well, still need to test.
    Also cool to see Eachine 129, got me into the hobby years ago.

      I pretty much swear by the RushFPV VTX's as the very best you can get. Their signal is just so clean. That 129 gets used quite a lot as it's easy to swap parts around. I don't think there's much original stuff on it now :)

    In an earlier vid, you reviewed the HappyModel Fyujon ExpressLRS RX + 300mw VTX- very helpful!
    I'd like to hook up a loud Matek beeper to it (lost a build in the grass recently) with a switch in my Zorro. If there is a way to do this (which pads for power and switch), please help- Thanks in advance!

    Be interesting to see the vtxs actual output set to One watt....I can go that far on just 200 mw on analogue....The image also looked better on legacy mode IMO.....🤔😏🇬🇧

    Why do people in the UK call the ground the "floor"? Floors are in buildings and houses. The ground is outside..

    • @CurryKitten
      @CurryKitten  Před měsícem

      The word seems interchangeable to me - although it depends on context. Just to add to the confusion, what we also have a "ground floor" and that's both words in one. Mind blown :)
