    Still on INAV 6.1 with my 3" drone where I went as far as PH and RTH but did not dare to do missions. As I live in the mountains, getting missions rock solid is imperative! Thanks for the updated missions coverage with INAV 7.1. Looking forward to seeing what ground station does in INAV 8.

    Perfect timing for me! I just recently built a Rekon 10 pro and put inav on it to learn how to orogram and fly missions.

    Great vid, my GepRC 7" is flying on Inav now. Thanks!
    Maybe an new topic on beeper setting with CLI, i had a hard time finding it out.
    Disable all beeper functions: beeper -all
    Enable funtion on USB: beeper on_usb
    Enable funtion rx-set: beeper rx_set
    dshot/ESC beeper status: get beeper
    Enable dshotmotor beeper: set dshot_beeper_enabled = on

    Holy smokes I didn't know about the POI waypoint type. Thanks for explaining that (and how to end it too). Super useful!

    Woot Woot! Love where INAV is going. So many fantastic updates since I started using it with version 1.8.
    I've used Litchi for missions before. It has a feature that allows you to globally add a desired altitude over ground level for each waypoint that is essentially terrain following. No need to fiddle with each waypoint when the mission is created in Google Earth. Very cool. I've used it to do lawnmower patterns in very mountainous/cliffy areas and it performs perfectly. The Phantom 4 is in one piece, for now.
    Could we create a mission in Google Earth and import it to INAV?

    Thank you for the info as always! Quick question, how does POI work on fixed wings? Can you use it with a pan camera servo?

    Great video Lee. What happens if you loose radio contact during a mission? Does the RTH (Return To Home) setting take over or does the mission continue? Do you have to disable RTH settings to prevent a RTH on a mission that might be beyond or just out of radio range? I'm looking forward to your session about using iNav missons on wings.

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  Před měsícem +1

      LIDAR only provides accurate height detail. OPFLOW helps with things like position hold. DJI flying cameras tend to use them a lot... Happy flying!

    Great tutorial for INAV 7.1 ! Would you please include details on the autoland setup and mission planning for fixed wings using 7.1 when you make your fixed wing video? I have not been able to find a good video to explain the details of 7.1 autoland. I made a few attempts with no luck on my AR Wing 900 using Speedybee wing F405.

    Quick question... Im assuming this is possible but just want to make sure. Could a double operator setup work with this?...One person starts the waypoint process to a 2nd location say 3 miles away, then as the aircraft comes into video reception they click off the mission and manually fly the quad from that point? Asking for some friends.

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  Před měsícem +2

      Yes, you'd have to setup inav not to stop the mission if it loses connection with the first radio. Be careful with stuff like that, in lot's of places, it might not be allowed.. Happy flying!

    Can you fly behind mountains or other places where you may lose los?

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  Před měsícem

      Technically, yes. But that isn't legal in lots of places... Happy flying

  • @TheGeordietheWitchandtheWench

    INAV is getting closer to Arducopter. Have you tried doing the mission at 60mph or even 100mph?

    A minor pitfall confused me for a while after I moved from Vectors to iNav: iNav cared what mode I was in before I switched to waypoint mode. If I switched from manual to WP, all I got was a RTH. I needed to enter WP mode from horizon or cruise for the mission to work. I ran into this issue in 4.1, but I suspect it's still there.

I contacted some power to the servo pins and was it was still connected to computer.The board would not connect to the configuration after that have I bricked it or is there a way to recover it . Cheers Pete

    Seems like the missions functionality is not very stable? I create a mission, save it, get it back, its not quite the same. Why do you click on "elevation" to see home? What i see in elevation is not correct... etc etc etc... Are any of the various GCS's for INAV reliable? After all, you are giving control of the copter to the program.

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  Před 16 dny

      If you are finding things changing, then report it to the developers. I've never seen that... Best of luck
