interesting thanks lee, i also built speedybee v2 with inav & a moz 7. i have a speedybee v1 frame spare & spare matek f405 stack & a spare mamba f405 stack (no barometer) . would appreciate advice on building another speedybee with these stacks. thanks steve.

Great work as always very educational..I have a question do you have any videos for setting up and bindinx X6R and X8R receivers on the tandem X18 I have them setup on my Horus X10 with V2receiver module and transmitter module flashed works fine on the Horus I wanted to be able to use those receivers on the Tandem as it does support ACCST receivers.I have updated my tandem X18 with Ethos Suite and now are trying to bind the x series recevers with no luck.I suspect it possibly is the firmware on the x series rx as it only goes up top 2.1.0 Any suggestions would be Great. Hi ! thanks for the video :) Is there a way to use both LIDAR/OPFLOW with GPS /w Mag at the same time ? Maybe to force using LIDAR from the ground to 3m high, then GPS for higher altitudes ? I'm using MTF-01 btw. thanks !

Have you seen anyone trying to run the new iNav vtol on the FX 405 fc that heewing ships in these? I bought the full version cause it was only a small amount more but ultimately will replace the stock FC with iNav for and probably play with that.

I have an FR-Sky Taranis v1 which I haven't used in some years, I don't even know if I will be able to upgrade to the latest OpenTX. To my understanding, FR-Sky is more or less out! What about OpenTX, Is that still used?

Lee, you just need a supplier/vendor to make a Painless360 kit ready. And perhaps a supplier that can also offer a RTF variant for those lazy ones.

How did you wire your servos and escs too the speedybee board from the pbd board?

I just came across your videos and noticed you still build/solder etc. I have quite a few bits that I no longer use from years ago (all stored inside) and wondered if you would be interested? DJI F550 (has been flown for many yearso it could be thrown in too), Futaba 14SG 2.4Ghz Combo with R7008SB (harderly used), NazaV2, a very good (no cheap) lipo charger and more stuff in my wardrobe. Let me know if you want to chat more about it. I just checked my email and found the futuba and Naza V2 receipt straight away, I can probably find more for the other stuff once I did them out and look into it more. Thanks 😃

good picks, the iflight motors are good for the money. I've personally abused the ones on by beater quad ( old very strong quad frame that is used to teach newbies to fly and for bashing through trees with guy line attached when putting up large HF antennas) .They are tough

Seems reasonably priced and great compared to say a fully specked vtol . I got a question on the premade FPV + RTH version of the Swordfish what kind of budget remote do you recommend. Is there any good remotes with a built in screen for the video feed? I am not really interested in googles but a screen that shows me the video feed while I fly.

Firstly, apologies for commenting on a 3 year old video! I have a question about head trackers and pan/tilt gimbals. I noticed on my first flight trialling this exact kit that when I'm banking left or right, the gimbal stays in its original position and doesn't move with the aircraft. Ideally it would need to stay orientated to the direction of travel unless I move my head to look around. Would you know how to resolve this? Cheers

There needs to be a delay so the lidar sees the height for at least 3 seconds before it flares . Give it time to get 9ver bushels and obstacles.

flight modes help please i have ch5 set to arm disarm ch6 to flight modes stabalize / acro rc8 to rtl and rc9 to poshold rc 8 and rc9 are both 3 position switches how do i set rc8 and rc9 to activate at middle position 1500pwm at the moment it only activates at 2000pwm

I love my Dragon II, had it for a couple of years now. Great FVP plane, I do have a pan tilt cam on top. I’m gonna be interested to see if you change up the motors.

Anyone got any ideas as to why Im not getting any servo action from any of the flight modes? Manual works normally, all servos moving and in correct directions, but no matter what I do, swapping connectors for the servos etc, it just will not auto correct at all. tested loads of times on the bench and in the air during a manual take off, switching modes does nothing its like its always in manual mode.

Another handy feature is the flat turtledeck. The top of the tail cone is where I love to place units like trackers and vtx gear to counterbalance bigger batteries and better cameras in the nose, but I usually have to flatten the top to install equipment there.

The reason why the SD card won't work for updating is probably because it's only used for the DVR. It's a separate component and a link between the processor and the SD card slot isn't normally required.

My favorite plane. I fly mine mostly LOS. It's fast and quiet plus excellent flight times.

What about the evaluation based on the 5 star system?

Does the Walksnail unit allow a video output without any text on the screen?
