At the beginning of the video, i was like the owner of the shoe is insane! But at the end of the video, i understood why he/she had it redone. :-)

The end results were amazing
They certainly look better, but that's a lot of money to toss into a boot you never even worn.
Some people have it done so when they break the boot the cork lasts longer. The traction tread sole is not exactly known for having a long lifespan. That said I still would have worn it out first but it is amazing work! 👍

Those are incredible. I too was wondering why replacing soles that looked almost new. But I guess customizing it really took it to another level. Beautiful work!!!!
I absolutely love this resole. Shoes are such a personal thing. Adjusting the boot to fit your needs, personality and whims is what makes a good boot perfect! In my opinion, that’s what this resole did for this pare of boots. Well done Brian

I bet I can recite all the steps involved in Brian's resoling of Red Wings from memory, but I'm still mesmerized and enjoy seeing the process each time because he does it to different models. Yeah, having been taught "If it ain't broke (or worn) then don't fix it" from my frugal parents, I wouldn't resole any of my Red Wings unless they were totally worn/trashed, it's very satisfying seeing the 9877 and 8829 fore /aft transformations. Love the honey colored 1/2 soles. Someday I'll pull the trigger on my 8180's, 4514's, 8829's or 8113's but it will be decades from now.

That sole was a perfect pairing with the boot. I have a couple of boots with the white traction tred sole, but never liked it on those Billy Boots. Now they're one-of-a-kind.

Dang those are brand new boots...Red Wings latest and greatest boot that they just put out. I have to say they look so much better with new soles on. Normally I wouldn't say that about a red wing boot but that sole is way better! Those are beautiful.
