PawPaw is the man. Thanks for sharing these tips. The jig for the shim is gold and it looks as pro as you can get.
Thank you very much
Thank you so much! This was the best/most relevant info I could find. I wish I could adopt you as my own paw paw
Thank you very much. I’m very happy that my videos have helped you. I’m always here trying to help people to make their lives better.
Nice workmanship. I would personally have used clear silicone.
That’s certainly an option. Thank you for watching my videos
Wow! Learn something from every video Paw Paw! I never thought to make a jig for a shim on the table saw! Been using a chalk line and the circular saw 🤪 Not anymore! Thanks for the tips! Love the final product!
Thank you very much. This method works for any taper that you need including table legs and so much more. Thanks for watching. You’re doing some great work also. Hey, almost at 10k. Awesome
@@PawPawsWorkShop Yeah, I got a bunch of ideas after seeing that template! I can't imagine why I have never seen it before. I binge on woodworking videos!
It’s one of my older videos. I almost didn’t do the video. I thought it was to simple.
@@PawPawsWorkShop Simplicity is my middle name! I don't always think outside the box!
Thanks Paw Paw I was having that exact issue placing my new cabinet and top.
Very nice video Sir. Thank you for instructing us on the craft.
It's my pleasure. Thank you for watching
Wow! Thanks for the tip on creating a jig for the scribed trim piece, that could be cut off on the table saw. Never seen it done that way, and I will definitely use it.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching
came out great!
Thank you very much.
I am guessing this is your sons home! That turned out really nice! Especially the counter top and the back splash. One technique I will use when setting cabinets is I will use business cards as shims, my wife had a couple of boxes of business cards the office address changed so I repurposed them for shims. 😁🛫
Thank you very much. Great idea
Can you explain how you got the counter top to fit correctly since the walls are not plumb?
I'm curious about the missing hole cut outs for the sink faucet. Were those drilled after installation?
Yes, I cut the faucet holes after the installation
Yes l learnt a lot sir
What do you do when the new countertop and sink don't align with the old plumbing under the sink
You just have to re-plumb everything to fit. Yes, sometimes it’s a little bit of a challenge.
Great job. You should have used a gray caulk.
Yes, that is an option. Thank you
Agreed, he did an excellent job! However, as you noted, the caulking should have been a gray color. That white caulking looks like an amateur home owner mistake!
I actually like the look. More importantly, the homeowner likes it
@@PawPawsWorkShop I agree, if even individuals don't like something, it was intended for a specific individual. If they like it than it's a perfect job. Great job once again.
☺👍👍👍👌
Thank you very much
White caulking is the worst choice you can go with in a bathroom around areas with high water & moisture, he should have gone with a color match grey or dark grey and how do you measure the overhang for the vanity top if it's pushed against the wall
Is that a special blade for cutting that side splash?
No, it not a special bit.
Would have used clear caulking, not white on vanity
Clear would work. Just remember any small imperfections will show up
