No the 2014 Spurs were very athletic they took out the Thunder and some of those winds were blowout wins they won in six games and the 2015 where they couldn't repeat it's because they lost some of their key players they lost some key players and they also had some injuries too that's what happened and some of the other teams got a little bit better that year too in 2015 but no they handled that they handled the Thunder the Thunder were taking care of San Antonio took care of them the year before in six games three of those four wins were blowouts

The Spurs would have beaten the Clippers that year had they played a little bit smarter they could have took the Clippers out that year and they should have but part of the reason was and it's a fact they weren't quite as hungry they were inconsistent and yes the Clippers were more hungry that year San Antonio was not as hungry they may say they were but they weren't they lost some of their drive so that was another factor and that's just a true fact if they would have kept their foot on the gas they could have easily beat that Clipper team in six games

    • @paksta
      @paksta Před 7 měsíci +40

Nice theory. I'm not sure if I agree. Let's see:
'99 - yeah, but it's the Spurs that stopped the Lakers
03 - yeah, so the Spurs and twin towers were good and ended the kobe/shaq dynasty.
05 - yeah, but they beat the team that totally killed off the Shaq/Kobe era. And Pistons were a team that Shaq couldn't beat that year with Wade either.
07 - ok, maybe. But Suns could have been a mini dynasty if not for Spurs (who beat them again)
14 - No way. They totally decimated absolute prime Miami, including prime Lebron. That was supposed to be the dynasty of the time.
So all in all, seems it was the Spurs who caused the transitions and beat dynasty-caliber teams.
They delayed the Shaq/Kobe Dynasty, then ended it. Then beat the team that killed off the last Kobe/Shaq super-team. Then they destroyed and ended the Heatles.

      They had few tough losses:
      2000-TD was hurt
2004-Fisher 0.4 buzzer, before that it should have been foul on Duncan (even Shaq said that).
But even if they went to the finals, I think the Pistons would win against anybody that year.
2006-Manu had a bad foul on Dirk in game 7 which led to OT.
They would probably win against the Suns, and they would be a tougher opponent to the Heat.
      2008-Kobe&Lakers were better
      2013-Ray Allen
2015- I think they were the worst match up for GSW, but CP3 had the best game of his life :D

I bet Pop would have loved Big Spain on that team, they would have absolutely dominated for years. You always expected the Grizzlies to lose by like 6 or something, and beating the Spurs was like winning the finals even in the regular season. Truly an amazing team these guys!

10 years after 2013 NBA Finals I am still crushed by this loss to the Miami.
I believed that this was the year to get 5th ring for Timmy.
1999,2003,2005,2007 - all pointed that 2013 will be their championship year as well.
    But happened, what happened.
And even if I enjoyed revenge chip in 2014, I felt at the same time that... something is over. Mostly due to aging the Big 3.
My hopes was revived when LaMarcus Aldridge joined Spurs, but still it wasn't enough for capturing next title. So, the era ended... Since 2014 I am waiting for the next trip to the finals and I believe that the dryout will ends very soon.

@@smittywerbenjagermanjensen4737were so thankful he got out of San Antonio. we don't want people who don't want to play for our team. Just so you know, the Spurs admitted that they really missed that opportunity to make him the highest paid player on the team, and Jordans at that time realized that they haven't offered much sponsorship to Kawhi. The Spurs had offered a max contract to him, and Jordan brand has also introduced a new signature shoe for him. But his uncle really wants him to go home and play in LA and was not convinced by Pop. Now, he got two DPOY from Spurs, and 2 rings. I doubt he can add more. But I'm pretty sure, Wemby can make a huge impact in the future, and can add more rings to the Spurs franchise, and will have a better career than Kawhi. Do your research.
Trailblazers were automatically 4th seed, even though teams below them had far more wins than them, because Silver made a rule that division winners (which Portland were in 2015) automatically secure a top-4 seed.

From what I remember the team played rather complacent throughout the year. Parker, Ginobili and Diaw all regressed. Kawhi was supposed to take over but didn't - only the next year did he reach superstar level. Only Duncan seemed fired up to win. They could've been 2-seed with 56 wins but dropped the ball on Game 82 getting blown out by NO. That left them with 55 wins and losing tiebreakers, dropping to 6th. I knew then that they didn't have it to win the title. Still, I was looking forward to them challenging the Warriors. Being up 3-2 on the Clippers and not closing the deal in Round 1 was a mild surprise, because the Clippers were really good that whole year. I don't remember Parker being injured because he wasn't playing well all season, but I should have, because 10.9ppg can't be explained otherwise.

2014 WAS the repeat essentially. I know people say the spurs wouldn’t have gotten back in 14 had they won in 2013, but I think they would have, and would have repeated as champions.

I mean when you think about it 2012-14 we’re the best teams they had even though they only won it in 2014. After the 2014 title Parker aged in dog years and even with Kawhi getting better they just simply couldn’t overcome Duncan’s body finally giving out. If they didn’t do it in 2014 it wasn’t going to happen considering how close they were in 2012 and 2013 (especially 2013).

I don’t remember what year it was specifically, but the opening season game between SAS vs GSW was so good. Jonathan Simmons blocked tf out of Curry, The Spurs won, and it really made me think that maybe the Spurs are really one of the few teams that can matchup well against them. I think it was 2017 when Kd just joined GS.

Their best last run was in 2017 they can beat the Warriors I'm sure of it. Pachulia though was the hidden dirty MVP of till Championship. But we can't witness the Raptors run if that's the case. Raptors where the young and defensive Spurs should be and was not just Leonard.

They could never get over the hump. And yet people call them a "dYnAsTy" LMAO. Please, come on, great team? absolutely, but let's have some standards, that word gets thrown around way too often.
