- The Cummins ISX engine has gone through some changes over the years. The first ISX was the CM570, then CM870, CM871, CM2250, CM2350, X15, etc. Each time the generation change, a new turbo was also introduced! Starting with a wastegated single geometry turbo, then switching to an air powered VGT, then finally settling on an electrically controlled VGT turbo! This video explains the difference between each turbo.

1. Holset fabricó un turbo bht4 ó ht4c para el motor Cummins ntc444. Borg Warner tiene un turbo igual al de holset?
2. Los turbo de la serie ht son giró Reverse. Y para el Cummins nta855 ó n14 la brida del múltiple ó manifor no es igual al t6 normal. Que adapter se debe usar en ese casa. Gracias
I have a 2010 ISX 871 that is 430 horsepower and want to bump it to 550 or 600 horsepower what is the difference in the turbo and what is the difference in the engine that you know of

Not all cm570s came with the hx60 I own 2 of them with the hx55
Hey Joe on the 2250 2350 turbos the compressor size is the only difference then ?
The turbos between the 2250 and 2350 are virtually identical, the compressor wheel size is more dictated by the original horsepower spec. As far as I know as of now, there are 2 different size compressor wheels most commonly used.

Whats the difference between the he400 and the he451?
HE451 is a type of HE400 turbo. HE400 is a more broad category.
IE: all HE451's are HE400s, not all HE400s are HE451. There are also HE431, etc.
I have a 2013 isx15 i have it deleted with stock turbo straight piping
I wanna do this but I’m hesitant on taking off the DPF filter canister. Afraid dot might catch it. Did you keep your canisters?

@@zmac151able it can effect it a little. Like I’ve known people to say they went from a vgt to traditional turbo and lost a little jake power, but what I was explaining was the vgt turbos reduce a lot of noise basically your jakes with a traditional turbo will sound a little louder than the jakes on a vgt turbo.
