You season like a CHAMP. Those heaping tablespoons give me life
She does! She don’t play! 🤣🙌
Yes, I can't stand when folks put a little pinch of salt or even salt free seasonings. You already know that food is gonna be bland.
She really does!! Love it
And now I know that I have been serving horribly under seasoned food until now!
Yes, a woman after my own heart. Most food is so damn bland you might as well not be eating it. I look at recipes for spice cake that call for a 1/2 tsp of cinnamon or 1/4 tsp of clove and taste the batter and you can't taste it at all so I typically triple it, but I just eyeball. I also make my own mason jars of mixed spices with different profiles (Italian, French, Mexican, Indian, Thai) and throw handfuls in. It's the spice of life.
Totally in awe of a young woman like yourself doing so much from scratch. I'm very impressed and all your meals looked delish.
I had only sons. What I would have given for a daughter like that!!! Don't get me wrong. Those sons were great at working cows and fixing the pump when the well went out.....but .....what I would have given for just one daughter to go with my 7 boys! And would you believe....all my grand children are boys!
@@damesaphira9790 well, you can still get them to do the same activities
@@damesaphira9790 so. many. boys. Holy moly
Well said!! And such organization!
@@damesaphira9790
I have four daughters and a son and he is into cooking, baking and canning with his wife whereas my daughters don’t….so it’s in their desires to do so…..😀
I love the fact that you make a bunch of freezer meals for yourself and your husband. Making freezer meals is not just for large families. Everyone can benefit from your recipes and your great ideas.
Oh! I assumed they had tons of kids.😂
Why would anyone put a thumbs down on this incredible young lady? She's inventive, energetic, and full of good ideas and recipes. The way she prepares the day before and then continues the next day to put things together makes it look so easy. I know a lot of thinking and preparation goes into one of these freezer meal videos. Not following a recipe, even if it's in front of me, is how I cook. Nothing tastes the same way twice. Thank you for showing how freezer meals can be doable.
Thank you for seasoning your food, and not treating it like it’s a baking show of needing precise measurements vs cooking ❤️
😂💯
I always say baking is a science with precise measurements, cooking? You can wing it, change it to suit your taste etc. I like cooking but I can’t stand baking in general.
This is hands down on the of the best (if not THE best) freezer meals video I’ve watched… and I’ve watched many…New subscriber here! Thank you!
I totally agree with you I have subscribed also, I am surprised that this young lady doesn't have more support for her channel she is an amazing cook.
Thank you!! Welcome to the community!!
Ditto!
I second that :) new subb
SAME HERE! I usually fast-forward through these type of videos but I was glued the whole time with this one! Instant sub!
She licked the spoon. That means it's made with love! Girl, you are iconic!
My kinda girl! Everyone does it. Anything is cooked away! She's fantastic...❤
Becoy you should be proud of yourself for the amazing meals you prepare for you and your husband. This is exactly how I prepared meals ahead when my husband and I were raising our 2 kids and my father in law. I also led our womens ministry where twice a year each person submitted a recipe with detailed ingredients. I shopped in bulk and packaged all ingredients x3 to allow each lady to prepare 3 casseroles or meat with veggies. Next the ladies met me at church picked up their ingredients, went home cooked their 3 meals returned with their meals freezer ready. The recipe and cooking instructions were placed on top
Long story not short we filled our large freezer to capacity with amazing meals
When a church member or visitor was hospitalized had a baby or needed a little extra love we took turns delivering the frozen meals to meeded persons
That ministry blessed me and our ladies ten fold
God bless you and your ministry. You are AMAZING!
Only 3 minutes in and she is a BEAST. What an absolute hero.
That’s what I like about her there is no messing about I she gets straight down to it.
OMG I'm so glad I'm not the only one who seasons their food like that! Whenever my family asks how I cook so good the answer is THIS!! Other channels that make big freezer meals, their food usually looks bland but I wish I could smell yours! That is one lucky husband of yours.
Could you please, please, PLEASE show us how you store all those meals your freezer?
I was thinking she grossly over seasons her meals, especially the salt. I like seasoning but good grief. 😳
@@renel7303 It only looks like that because when she pours it over, but it's a huge amount of food, so it's all good no worries.
@@roxy_quokkacake you’re so right. She is cooking big portions of food and the spices help preserve the food. And she probably grows a lot of it in her garden and needs to use it all.
The only "seasoning" you can overdo is salt. There is no such thing as overseasoning food, specially onion and garlic powder, you can never add too much in my book.
There is a video on my freezer and it shows them all in there!! I have chest freezers.
trust me, you aren't "cheating" with those no bake lasagna noodles after all of the other from scratch work you did.
This. ☝️
If I ever served lasagna with no cook noodles to my Italian cooking teacher, Momma Videcia, she would kill me and lecture me on the history of Italian cooking. Then berate me for a few hours for being lazy.
The meat pot was so close to the edge of counter...I was thinking, please don’t fall off
My thoughts exactly
A lot of the homesteaders I watch focus in the whimsical side of farming and growing your own food but I really appreciate and love that you do more practical functional stuff. Keep it up ive grown to enjoy your channel a lot!
Awesome! Thank you!
100% agree !!
I’d love to see how you organize all this food in your freezer 🙂
I'm curious to see how that would look as well. There's got to be some serious Tetris level skills at play there!
@@AyaBlue22 lol I agree☺️
she has to have at minimum a box freezer or three.
I'm interested in her pantry since I've been enlarging mine!
I might have a freezer tour coming up this month. :)
I’m almost 76 but I’m learning so much from you! I love your enthusiasm and am envious of your energy! Keep up the great work!
Hi! New subscriber here. Totally binging your channel. You are inspiring me to get work done in my kitchen and garden! Thank you 💚🙌 I don’t know if someone has already said this, but you can line your casserole dishes with parchment paper before adding your food. Then when once it’s frozen, you can pop it out, and then vacuum seal it. That way you don’t have casserole dishes being held hostage in your freezer. When you wanna cook, just pull out and drop into a casserole dish and bake!
🤯 For the longest time I’ve wanted to do this, but didn’t have the money to buy so many containers.. you just blew my mind. 🤌🏻
Great idea.
That's how I do it!
Smart, organized and financially responsible young woman. Great to see! 😀
Thanks!
I've been homesteading full time for almost a year now. I follow a handful of homesteading channels, but you are what I've been looking for for years! Your cooking, gardening, preserving, and multitasking is just what I need to be enriched with right now! So thankful I've found your channel; so thankful for you!
~blessings from a small farm in Arkansas 💜
Can i ask what homesteading is please?
Wow, thank you! Blessings from Washington!
Homesteading is just the act of trying to grow you own food, preserve food and just do more things for yourself..
@@camcam221133 homesteading is named after the people that first settled america, they lived on small parcels of land meant to sustain their family alone and were called homesteads, so homesteading is basically trying to live like those people did and live a self sustaining life where you have to buy as little as possible.
Incredible ! She has to hustle to get rid of ' EXCESS ' produce from last year in order to make room for this years harvest - ha, most folks would be sharing the three beans about then
I wish you’d start teaching kids how to cook! Start a home economics class. They need you! You’re amazing.
BWAAAHAaaa haha bwah hahah - stop, i cant take it, bwah haha youre killin me - todays Mothers never learned to cook - Carrot ? Whats a carrot bwahahhaaaha
Going to be honest here. Freezer meals have always seemed so daunting to me. I feel like I would be overwhelmed once I got started. But after watching you I feel like I might be ready to tackle it.
For the biscuits on your chicken pot pie, take 6 cups of flour, 3 TBS baking powder, 3 tsp salt. Mix together. Cut in 1 cup butter or lard. Add 2 cups milk. Make and cut out your biscuits how you would and lay on a cookie sheet. Makes about 25-30 biscuits. Freeze uncovered. Once frozen, remove and put in a gallon freezer bag. To bake just put the biscuits in a preheated 425 oven, and bake about 10 minutes til golden. They will rise and brown like any other homemade biscuit. I've even done these with buttermilk. Just add a little baking soda to your dry ingredients if you do. This will save you another step!
Thank you!
How long and on what temp do you have all these meals in the oven?
Do you put them on the chicken pot pie in the baking dish to bake?
Yes. You can just lay the biscuits on your pot pie and bake as normal. Bake at the temperature for the pot pie, not the biscuits
Holy smokes girl that was so fun to watch! Your organization skills are incredible! Super efficient. I bet your employer loves you and should feel lucky to have you! Food looked delicious and super healthy! Feeling inspired now.
Wow thanks! I’m not the most organized! Lol I do like to try to be efficient tho :)
I second everything you said, Jamey! As I was watching, I was wondering just how many things I would burn and just how many ingredients I would leave out if I tried to do that many things at once. I'd have to have a task and ingredient list for each meal printed out, all lined up on another counter, and check them off as I went to keep track of where I was. I could get my steps in just walking over and consulting my lists over and over again!
@@Romans828girl totally agree! High five ✋🏻
I'm the same with carrots lol
Honestly You are the only CZcams cook that I have ever seen that cooks the same way I do! Oh my gosh I make such good use of product, leftovers and ease of operation. I think many people will go crazy trying to get that many meals done at one time but I think it is the most efficient and successful way to cook. You are giving people such good ideas for cost saving as well as excellent recipes. Meatloaf has always been a Bugger for me to try to get right. I’m definitely going to follow your lead on this one. So glad I found you
Ah thank you :)
Hi Becky! This is actually the first video I saw of yours last year. That is when I couldn't help but start following you! Now I have been watching you ever since but this is the first day I decided to leave you a comment. At first it was just about meal prep, but now I think everything you do is inspiring. You remind me of a young version of both of my Grandma's in different ways. My Grandma Alice was always my inspiration to learn to be a home cook. My grandmother Ila was always fascinating because she made everything about her farm seamlessly part of daily life. Nothing ever went to waste, soo many things were made from scratch. Both of them are gone now but your personality is bringing back memories.
We bought our house last year now that we have settled in I have decided to create two small garden beds in my backyard for the first time mostly because your enthusiasm made me want to try but also because of the oncoming inflation. I'm so excited and watching your preparations for your own garden is so motivating. I wish you luck and I'm really happy for you and the success you are finding in sharing your journey. You are a great teacher.
I’m so impressed. It is amazing to watch you. You confidently get down to business as if you have 40 years of experience. I am inspired to use more seasoning when cooking after watching you dump such large amounts in. Lol
Thank you! 😊
It is very nice to come across someone who does this for just 2 people. Everyone I watch does it for large families and when I tell people I do this for just my husband and I they don't understand why or they think Im making my life harder when in reality it makes everyday easier. When you were giving your reasons I was like "Yes girl!! Exactly!!" Lol
Oh my gosh so much easier! I didn’t have to cook at all this week! I have time to CZcams because of it. We don’t eat out anymore to save money and this is how I do that.
I couldn't agree more. It's so much tastier to come home to homemade leftovers than it is to come home to a frozen pizza or sandwiches. I have had co-workers who say, "my family won't eat leftovers"...and all I can think is that they're far to picky. Besides, some things are even yummier on day two+ wouldn't you agree?
I just found your channel and was so happy because although I don't prepare to your level I have always prepped meals for 1 week at a time and find it so helpful even thought hubby and I are now empty nesters
I'm single and this works great for me. So much heather and cheaper than fast
I do it for just myself. Saves time and money and I didn't eat processed foods.
I admire the heck out of this woman growing her own garden, canning, meal prepping. Wish I would have been this motivated and organized when my family was young. Two busy days to have minimal dinner prep for a month...awesome
She's cooking for two ya'll! Imagine what the cook up will be with kids.
But on a side note, her organization is fire!
I cant tell you how refreshing it is to watch you season your food PROPERLY. Hats off to you
Hi Becky, I am so inspired by you. My husband and I are on a restricted diet and most people use those canned cream soups. I have been searching for someone who makes things from "real" ingredients and not just dumping a whole lot of processed cans into their dishes. Thank you so much.
Wonderful! That's my goal! Real food for the busy person!!
Acre Homestead
Yes. I can’t stand clicking on “homemade” and see a can cream of whatever soup 🤦♀️
I am appalled by some bulk cooking channels. Cooking is not mixing cans together, "seasoning" it with salt and pepper and calling it a day. They used premixed spice powders, cans of soup, canned ingredients and say they're cooking 🤦🏾🤦🏾🤦🏾
@@f.-j.j.5738 I mean it is COOKING... but its not scratch cooking... I mean food network had a whole show series for it... remember semi homemade with Sandra Lee? LOL 😆 I dont judge those people...beciase many are urban city dwellers who don't always have a choice...so dr up pkg foods is still better than pizza take out and a drive thru... but from scratch homemade whole foods cooking is entirely different skill set! I think there can be room for both at the table!
@@jujube2407 I agree. Some people are in a season of life when they don't have time to scratch cook. Some have physical disabilities that prevent standing in the kitchen. For some people, processed food, or semi-processed food, is all they can afford. Some of that depends on where you live. Rather than judging or scoffing at others' efforts, I try to assume that they want the best for their families too. They may be doing the best they can, or they may be looking for ways to do better.
I got into freezer meal prepping over the summer when I got a deep freezer. It has changed my life, and I'm interested in making more "home-made" food. Your channel has been incredibly helpful to me; so many fantastic tips, and your demonstrations are amazing. I could literally watch you cook all day.
I do watch her all day 😂
Whether they are old or new videos, Becky is an absolute joy to watch 🥰
Well you have converted a 67 year old. Today I received my food saver bags and vacuum and sealing machine! What fun I had this morning test freezing some small batches to see how to get best results so thank you
Yesssss with the seasoning!!!!! These other channels put a tablespoon of salt and pepper😂😂 you’re awesome and so inspirational. Definitely going to try this weekend and make 5 freezer meals. I’m a full time college student and full time worker so dinner is definitely our least favorite thing to do.
Yes! Thank you! I feel the same way! We likes lot of flavor! Good for you! You won't regret it.
This young lady has always been organised, I’m 61 and I’ve never been this organised.👨🍳👨🍳 🌞🌞🙏🦋🦋❤️❤️🇬🇧🇯🇲
Yes!!, YES she seasons her food like a black woman 🙆🏾♀️💕 no “quarter teaspoon” in sight
Until her spirit says it's ok😃
Just like my wife!
Who says that us white women use teaspoons??? 😂
Alot of salt.....
@@Sarah-ft8jr your bland food speaks for itself.
I just found you channel a couple of days ago, so I'm catching up! I love how you're learning along with the rest of us, and the changes you have made in the past nine months: transitioning away from foil pans to reusable glass, grinding your pepper to make using it faster and easier, the harvest of your own carrots and peppers so a lot less store bought! I have been cooking for 45 years, still learning new tricks!
I am an old lady. And I do not eat like this anymore, but it surely reminds me wh3n I was young and had kids…bravo to your energy, keep up the good work!
thank you so much!!
I'm an old lady too! I like to make a family sized meal and divide it into 6 portions and freeze in bags or in dollar store foil pans. After work I can have a hot meal fast
I LOVE HOW CONFIDENT, KNOWLEDGEABLE AND ORGANIZED YOU ARE SWEETHEART! MAKES MY SKILLS LOOK LIKE CHILD'S PLAY! LOL, GREAT JOB!!!! FIRST TIME SEEING YOUR CHANNEL 👍🏼
Thanks for watching, Normita! :) Glad to have you!
I love that you're utilizing the same ingredients for multiple meals. That's really awesome. Nothing gets wasted and it makes cooking go a lot faster and easier. You're a rockstar!
Thank you for showing the steps you take the day before to prep for a big day. I tried a big cooking day but didn't have everything ready. I took two days to get it done but I GOT IT DONE! We've been eating on the freezer meals for 10 days now. We are loving the convenience. Thank you for the inspiration and research you've done for excellent recipes!
I love that you talk alot and explain everything! Thank you!
Oh good! Sometimes I wonder if it's too much!
@@AcreHomestead You explained every single thing very well and that was a lot to explain. I was thinking geesh this is wonder woman or super girl. So no, you weren`t talking too much, just amazing multi tasking.
Food Network needs to see her videos. 👍🏼
Never too much. I enjoy every word and expression.
I love doing my freezer meal prep! My friends tell me "it must be nice to have the time for that" but what they don't realize is how much time I am gaining from doing it!
YES!!!! exactly!!!!
Exactly! For me with 4 autoimmune diseases...and 3 small ish kids... doing things like this means we still eat when mom goes down... I can walk them thru go get this from the freezer downstairs...preheat the oven to 350... put in oven and set a timer for x... now make a salad or steam a bag of veggies in the microwave! Alternatively order takeout that will make me feel worse when im down...
Exactly. What's easier...coming home from a long day at work and realizing there's nothing to eat so you have to haul everything out and make one dish or mass making all of this so you can pop a lasagna in the oven and have delicious homemade food in 45 minutes of zero prep? I'm starting to think we need to go back to teaching home ec in school.
My daughter in law and I do freezer meals. She does 5 a week and I do 4 a week. We do extras for each other's households. She is a great cook.
Thank you so much for talking through all your prep and decisions! I really want to try freezer cooking but am intimidated. It is SO helpful to hear your tips and reasoning behind things!
I LOVE how organized you are! You made that look so easy thank you for all the tips ♡
ROFLOL! That made me laugh out loud that you didn't realize what / how to prepare cream of "whatever" soup bases! lol. But, I am much older and from a different era, so no, I would imagine a great many people don't realize how easy it is to make. But that cracked me up the way you said it.
I am a new viewer, as your channel appeared in my recommendations today. So glad I found you.
** Forgot to add that it gives me great hope that so many younger people "male as well as female" are trying to get back to the basics and kicking so many of the processed foods with bad preservatives to the curb! Warms my heart!!
Your cooking skills are impressive! I love cooking from scratch because that is how we are taught in most African families but must admit that it can be a lot of work.
Thank you. A little organization and preparation goes a long way. You are a life savior!

When I freeze items in freezer bags since I dont have a vacuum saver I use a straw. I close the bag with the end with a straw inserted. I suck out the air a couple times til no air remains then carefully pull out the straw while quickly sealing the end. Works really well.
Very clever
I just love watching u“flavor up“your pot of food that your preparing ! That’s the way I cook as well and it tastes so good ! You just get a “feel” for it the more you cook .For ppl who are afraid not to measure seasonings and herbs.. try it , it’s fun, quicker and if you are starting out doing it start with less and build up the flavor and as you taste you will know gotta add a touch more of this r that and your food will be delicious and then the more you do it you automatically know the amounts you need to put in without even needing to think about it much and that’s when you have the “feel” of seasoning your meals up easily as your preparing them ! Blessings! ❤️
Love to hear that you do all this AND work full time. I’ve been wanting to get into gardening and preserving so it makes me hopeful to hear it’s possible to manage both and a job. Most youtubers I follow, homesteading is their career.
I'm exhausted for u. Amazing job. How did u learn so much at such a young age. Well done.
😊 thank you
Your cooking and organizing skills are impressive. That you are such young woman even more so. Thank you. This also demonstrates the need for a large, functional kitchen ans storage space for so many meals.
Thanks so much! I love doing it :)
I have similar kitchen ethos. I'm always going for zero waste and efficiency! I'm 34 and have been cooking since college, too. I loved watching this. If I ever become a big meal prepper, I will definitely think of you as inspo!
I’m from the U.K. and I adore watching your channel. I love the idea of this type of life style. I have started to can goods and buy in bulk but I cannot garden unfortunately due to severe disabilities. As a fellow dental professional I dream of what could of been for myself once a long time ago. I am happy doing my small scale canning , jam making and baking. I can’t wait to try you apple cinnamon oat bake that you bake for your husband. Keep these lovely videos coming my dear they truly cheer my isolated life up xxxxxxxxx

May God bless you eternally. Also, the very best for your support group aka mama and hubby!
Thank you and welcome!!
I’m actually vegetarian and wouldn’t eat any of this, but just couldn’t stop watching because your cooking style is amazing! You’re inspiring!
Actually. most of the meals could be made vegetarian, I do it all the time. My niece is vegetarian I make her a vegetarian substitute when I make meals for her family who are not vegetarian.
@@sweetrosemary2000 That's absolutely true! I found your video very inspiring :) Keep up the great work!
Same but i also have other dietry requirements that basically make all of these meal prep freezer type vids useless to me but i love seeing it and getting some inspo and thinking of ways i may be able to really simplify and alter stuff to suit me but by the end its not worth it cause there will be like 1 ingredient that i dont have to substitute so i just end up freezing various veg soups with homemade broth 😂 i mean i love it but i wish i could eat whatever itd be SOOOO easy to do freezer meals and general meal prep with lots of fun diversity and stuff.
Do you have any good reccomendations or channels or books or anything you found helpful? Most prepper homemaker anything involving food is almost always north american and the very meat cheese bread/pasta/potato sugar salt heavy diets and basically a variation of those over and over.
Ive found Mediterranean food italian greek and also really basic traditional bland uk ireland food to be best suited to my more blue zone whole food unprocessed mostly plant based diet. I basically tell people im a medieval peasant diet wise or a monk lol like healthy af but basic af and basically the opposite of the modern diet in most places.

Just over4minutes in, I paused to go put on a beef brisket. I have always been a bulk cooker, & you have just inspired me.Thankyou.🙂
This is one of the best freezer meal videos I just found you and I love that you're a young married couple and you already cook to feed a family and then eat leftovers so there's less cooking that you have to do. Almost everything that you made today my family would eat. Lots of love from Kanata Ontario Canada, Jenn in Kanata
Your a perfect example of cooking how you like it. I tell my kids all the time a recipe is an idea on how to cook something. Cook it the way you and your family likes to eat. I love your videos. What an amazing soul you are. Working full-time, raising a garden and cooking wonderful home cooked meals.
I love how easily, calm, and detailed you explain what you're doing as you go through each step without overly commentating.
:)
At last a garlic powder Queen. I can relate on so many levels. Got to be one of the best.
you are an inspiration. I used to cook massive amounts of soups and stews in a 23 qt pressure canner/cooker, then freeze meal sized portions for my 4 kids and myself. Thanks to watching you, especially since my kids are all grown and gone, Now since my doctor insists, I am back to gardening, cooking from scratch, and canning but at the very beginning of building a pantry. I am using what you have shown me to make meals more varied, and I am back to cooking from scratch for just about everything. You sure taught an "old dog" new tricks. Thanks!
Love watching you cook! You’re so organized and clean and Thanks foe explaining all the steps
Everything you are saying is so right on! You are speaking my language. Love all of your ideas! 💘 Garden, dehydrate, kitchen processes like trash can out, hobbies, and freezer rotation. I will tune in to your shows. PS my husband is like yours, he eats everything I make and loves leftovers and has a grateful ❤.

I did this years ago when my 4 kids were small. It made life so much easier❤️❤️❤️
Inspiring! Don’t know what your background is, but you should be teaching classes!
I am a fairly new subscriber, but I have watched a LOT of channels showing freezer meal preps. I must say that this is one of the most concise, organized and easy to follow videos I've seen. I got some new ideas for meals as well. Thanks so much for sharing.
Absolutely love your make ahead freezer meals channel. It's incredibly liberating ! Thanks so much for sharing all these recipes with us.
Hi Becky and all American cousins! We love how you pronounce Worcestershire sauce, and if you ever want to sound more Brit (not sure why), we say ‘woostah’ sauce and rarely add the ‘shire’; we also pronounce it ‘sher’, so phonetically would be ‘woostahsher’ sauce. The oo and er are both short, we often flatten our vowels. Just fun info, please don’t take seriously. We brits love Worcester sauce too and love adding to beef. Congratulations on your channel Becky!
I’m very impressed! You are an amazing role model for the woman that does it all! Thank you!
Wow, thank you! You are so sweet and trust me I can't do it all!
Thank you so much Becky! I have a slight headache and it is a rainy 🌧 yucky day. This video was just what I needed.
This is so satisfying to watch I truly can't stop.
