As for the hobby of fixing jewellery when it breaks or changing a clasp, I have always done it at home. I have little, little tools that help me do this work. Oh Nanny, I could feel all of the maternal love in your heart when you spoke of being with all of the kids, especially as you wrapped your arms and expressed your joy. For me, family truly is everything. When I turned 70, the kids asked me what I wanted to mark the special birthday, and I told them that I wanted everyone together…..don’t care what we do, where we eat…just all be together. In my heart that is the best gift of all. I look forward to more pics, but I must say, the brides lace was stunning. So glad you both could go, enjoy the day and make more memories. Great wedding. I love my magnetic clasps for jewelry. Dental care is so expensive, you need to do what you need to do. Keep reminding Moosie how much money you are saving and how much better he will feel with his new dentures.

Nanny, I am 74 and have always been a crafter and I won’t stop either! Lol I love my garden, knitting ,crocheting, Diamond Art. I currently garden in the morning, weather permitting and I am currently making my sister-in-law a granny square sweater. They are a lot of fun! I also have a lot of my early 60’s jewelery and some of my grandmas. However, I rarely leave the farm, my choice, so I don’t accessorize like I used to. I wear some rings and earrings, but that’s about all. Stay well and looking forward to your next video. Oh, your taco salads in the last video looked so good. I need to make us some ❤❤❤
Aww Nanny, you look so cute in this video with your bangs pulled back😉 Glad the wedding was a success. Here's an idea for your mom's dinner ring...take it to a jeweler & see if they can just solder a new ring base onto the top in your size. While he's got it he can also make sure the settings are still good & tight so that you don't run the risk of having any stones fall out. This would be a job for a professional and I don't think it's something you could trust to a home fix-it job.

Nanny, add a piece of cut lumber to the table that will take up enough space to fit the clamp of the magnifier. This will allow a good hold for the arm of the unit. Nice video.
I loved seeing you all at the wedding! I was also inspired to pull out all the broken jewelry from it's appointed place in the lower drawer of my jewelry cabinet and I have been searching for the right repair kit on Amazon. I am a "treasure" keeper as well, down to the pencil written notes that my mama wrote to my daddy during high school and sent to him by his sister, since he had already graduated. I, like you, have had many hobbies over the years, sketching, sewing, crafting and gardening....there is so much more that I want to do, but alas, the time seems to be passing much too quickly to accomplish all. I will continue to live "vicariously" through you as I watch and enjoy your videos...may God continue to bless you and Mossie!!!

I have one of the lamps like you got. I use shims on the table front and back so as you will want the clamp very tight. They work wonderfully. I’d be lost in my craft room without that lamp. Love you and Moosie and wish you the best!

Speaking of broken jewelry, I have a watch from my mom, similar to the one you showed us, with the elasticized band that broke. Well, Mom's broke, too. The elastic seems to have a limited life cycle!😉😂

Oh loved seeing your family pictures!! You looked beautiful! I too save jewelry and redo it , I have a box with parts and pieces. Seeing your jean jacket, just yesterday I took one of my jean jackets and cut 1/2 the bottom band off and with a sharp pointy sewing scissors I pulled threads to 'fray' the edge like I'm seeing on newer jackets, took awhile but turned out great!
The one I have on has a frayed bottom, too, Caroline…who knew?❤️

Bridget certainly is cute. Sounds like such a great wedding venue. Getting so excited over my grandson's wedding next year in July on my birthday. But my daughter will definitely be looking at my feet, she thinks I'm much younger than I am. So happy to hear about Moosie going to the dental school. This is exactly how it worked when we went. I’m looking forward to the jewellery fixing…along with the magnifier I have a ‘Helping Hands’ with small grippers and clamps to hold the pieces you’re working on which is so very useful when I’m working on miniatures eg dolls houses and model railways, but I tend to flit from one hobby to another, including sewing so nothing is ever quite finished!!! I am so glad that Moosey is finally on the right track to getting his teeth sorted, that is something I would absolutely give anything for but unfortunately I can’t afford it and here in England one has to wait a year even to see a dentist on the NHS, and 5 weeks to see your doctor. Maybe you can get a couple of 2x4 pieces of wood that wood hold the magnifying glass. And then you can place it on the table as long as it won’t fall over.

The wedding pics and vids are really great. You all look so fabulous! My mom literally just gave me a gold chain she has, she said the clasp is too small and she can't put it on by herself, so would I take it to the jewellers to get a bigger clasp. I've just ordered the double lobster magnet clasp after watching this. Thanks for that! I think it will do the trick for her, and maybe for a few other necklaces she has too. x

For the magnifier when you turn the handle thing on the bottom you can then push or pull it to the other side so you can turn it more. It still might fit on the kitchen counter.

Loved all the pictures of the wedding and we all know that your family loves a good party…….it certainly looked like everyone had a great time. Looking forward to your creations once you tackle the jewellery making. I think the magnetic closures are great too, but just a word of caution. I lost one of my precious bracelets that had these. It obviously became caught on something and I didn’t realize it, and by the time I was aware that it was gone it was too late and I never did find it.😢

It always brings tears to my eyes when I see a wedding and I know that two people are starting their life together… whenever I’m in church and they play the wedding March.”I cry” instantly it seems to always bring you back to the day that you walked up that aisle, so young, and with all our hopes and dreams of how our marriage and life was going to turn out can’t wait to see more pictures. I think I told you about a skin condition that I had and for some reason it got worse this year allergies and heat exacerbates it, which makes me very sad. They say there is no cure for it.
