Another video that I smiled all the way through, I didn’t realise I was doing it until it was over. Thank you Nanny, you are a treasure and you brighten my day. I’m a Grandma too and I think the children remember all the little things that we perhaps have forgotten about. I don’t think a grandma who is always trying to be young is a good example to them. We should age gracefully.

Every time I watch you Nannie I see myself played back at me, although you do better eyelashes! Your jewelry looks like mine, I have that same silver necklace you put on last, plus the turquoise rings, bracelets necklaces etc. I lived in SD for years and my children and I used to go to Tijuana and Rosarita Beach often. I also have a similar dress from there, mine is also white, with little people holding hands below the flowers all hand stitched. You inspired me to get my dress out from packed away and ware it tomorrow!

lol…the rolled nylons….nylons at all🥰 I love being a Grammy , but it definitely does not dictate how I dress, do makeup, feel….or anything else other than filling my heart with joy. You are so right, we absolutely do not look like our grandmothers, but oh how very special they were. How we relate to our family, how we take care of ourselves, how we navigate this process is unique for each of us. My hope is that my grandchildren feel as loved by me, and as warmly about me as I did my grandmothers. Have a great time in San Diego. ☀❤

Very helpful information for seniors! I just saw a scarf attached with magnets. Looked simple, just glue two ends into an end cap. Or use a decorated magnetic clasp & wear it in the front. You are alwaysfun to watch you!

I'm going to embrace my inner Grandma more. Thank you for giving permission to. I've been told I'm invisible with my gray hair, but I'm not sure if I agree. Maybe the gray screens out the bad ones. You know, not everyone does get to be an older granny or grandpa. My point being that we should enjoy and make the most of getting older. My sister died at forty seven. I look at my niece and her children sometimes and think how my sister would enjoy being a Grandma to them. Anyway, I love your Cinco de Mayo dress! Perfect for the day. I have made jewelry using those magnetic clasps. They don't hold very well. If they stick to something, they come off. I have lost many bracelets this way. Do not put a magnetic lock on anything that is particularly valuable to you.
When you go to Los Angeles, could you take a video from there. It would be nice to see the celebration of Cinco de Mayo.

Hi Nanny from England. Have you a link to the Amazon magnetic clasps? I have hand tremors and it’s a nightmare trying to do up the clasps. I’m like you I have so much jewellery I could start my own shop in fact I have so much of everything Maximalist is my middle name.
I love charity shop shopping (thrift shop) it’s like an Aladdins cave to me and exciting never knowing what treasures you will find. I had to downsize from a big house into a very much smaller property it was traumatic letting so many things go. Keep thrifting and enjoying yourself as for getting old I just think it’s a gift that not many people get to have.

Nanny, I saw a beautiful turquoise necklace in an op shop and I told the lady behind the counter that , although I’m not overly superstitious, I can’t help wondering about the energy on the necklace left on by the previous owner. She told me to bathe it in the ocean to cleanse it and ward off any unpleasantness that may be attached. So, I brought it, went straight across the road and cleansed it in the sea. Now I wear it and love it.
