Perfect! Just what I was looking for while I am about to install a non-license plate based camera to my son's 2009 Mazda6. Thank you for taking the time to make the video. I'll 'pay it forward' and make sure I help someone else out on CZcams. Thanks again!

Silicone spray helps to pull the video RCA cable through the grommet, the reverse signal wire enters the car through the same grommet, good video well explained

Thanks for the video - it is pretty helpful!
    Two questions:
    1) Why did you use the right backup light for powering the camera, bringing wire all of the way across the trunk lid, if the other backup light (on the left) was obviously much closer and had the same 12v?
    2) Why did you have to cut the plastic housing of the camera? Is this because it didn't fit instead of the original backup light?
    Thanks!

Rca will fit through the rubber conduit in the trunk. Lube the path with ky or shock oil. Tape the top of the rca to make a cone shape and seal. Pull fishing line through....tie to rca, tug on line and pinch conduit behind rca to work through. Did it, so it can be done

nice video but can't we just cut the camera wire, pass through that tight trunk conduit and then reconnect it and how about getting the wire from the left side to the android box?

same plastic radio faceplace piece.. Why are you using giant gloves it doesn't take much to take ...these plastic pieces out of the way.. Also you should always disconnect your positive terminal on your battery just a precaution After you disconnect the battery you hit the horn to make sure your Electricity is exhausted( so your airbags can't go off) and it's easy to do.. Crimp butt connectors with solder connections ,,, all you have to do is heat it up so the solder melts and you're done..You can actually use a lighter doesn't take long.. Also if you're going to get a camera system for your car go with the rearview mirror camera set up... You'll thank me later.. Camera goes right over your rearview mirror then you'll have a forward facing camera in hd to.. Me I have the same exact car With the rearview camera going to my rearview mirror that has an LCD full display underneath the mirror.. when it lights up it looks just like a TV screen. It's alot more natural to look in the rearview mirror to see where you're backing up.. Even though I never care to use any of it I prefer to actually turn my body to look in the rear window.. before I look both ways.. Because any of your rear rearview mirror doesn't give you total peripheral vision.. like in a persons walking and they're at the next car over from you and they're walking quickly behind you with a shopping cart you're not gonna catch it fast enough.. only way to know is to look for yourself... Me I have a forward facing camera and a rearview facing camera that's on the rearview mirror set up it also records audio... takes time to run the wires and patience...Me I have the set up on a constant power switch that's located in that little compartment on the left lower side of the car. That I could switch on and off at anytime I want.. When I park my car at night I leave it on for the camera is recording would be thieves.. It takes less than an amp of power.. you can leave that on for a few days and it wouldn't drain your battery much ... And you can switch it off whenever you don't want it at all ...I also have another switch that has an inverter. And then another switch that controls the batteries that I put in trunk.. Me I also sound Proofed the whole car.. I know this car pretty inside out ... if anybody needs help I've stripped the whole interior of all parts down to the rug.. All the way down to the metal and I install sound proofing materials on the roof and floor and in all doors. Also did the trunk on the back dash .
