    Great job. I am about to tackle the same install. Like the way you cut out the unnecessary points. I have already run my backup camera in preparation. I was able to unfasten the rubber weather loom and use a long rod or screwdriver to push through it. I then attached a cable with take and pulled it through. once through I attached the camera cable to the pull cable and used a little WD40 to help it through the loom. It went through without issue. Again, great job.

    Hi, great video. I saw three plugs that you removed from the old stereo. You plugged the new red harness into the large white plug, but I did not see you use the small white plug. Is that not needed for the new stereo?
    Thanks!

      That is correct, it is not needed for the new stereo

    Would a 9 inch fit in the double din kit since it usually sticks out so it wouldn’t have fit inside the kit like the 7?

      @DMWAUTOSS  Před měsícem

      The 9” would fit as long as it has the standard double din back side to it for the mounting

    Awesome video man! Thank you.
    I’m having some trouble with the steering wheel buttons, they’re connected to the white/black and the brown is grounded, did you have to enable a setting or something? Even when trying to program them, they are not responsive

      @DMWAUTOSS  Před 2 měsíci

      Nothing to enable, just program the buttons. What year is your Mazda?

      @@DMWAUTOSShey! 2012, turns out it was a mislabeled key 1 wire on my head unit. It the key 1 and reverse wires were swapped.

      @@DMWAUTOSSI do have another question though if you wouldn’t mind taking a stab at it. Have you gotten your red time/direction panel working right by the hazard switch?
      I have the same year Mazda 6 as you do things were nearly identical.
      Also, there were 2 main connectors coming out of the old head unit. The one is connected to the new wiring harness but the other one is left disconnected as it has nowhere to go. Is this meant to be?
      Thank you in advance!
