It's not just about happiness, it's also about consideration for others. I'm generally not very happy, but I'm always cordial and courteous to other people I come across. Even though I have general depression, I certainly don't want to make my issues other people's problem.

Amazing that less than 5% of the people organically use the interaction to promote their businesses and their town. This was a great town. Allison was wise as well.
People are scared of their own shadows these days, throw in a camera and oh no! Seriously though Amy was quick on her feet and a great ambassador to their town. The old man with the baseball card shop was similar, he looked peeved in the beginning and turned it into a promo for his shop :)

The former mayor is the type of person that needs to be in charge all over this country. Bring people into the center of the town with music and food, and watch businesses begin to appear in order to take advantage of the resulting customer base. Next, promote the refurbishing, rebuilding and/or building of local structures, being sure to streamline the process so as not to hinder the efforts of those who are attempting to make things better.
Wow... The business owners in the town have their heads screwed on straight. I wonder how many people will watch this video, and then say, "F$#@ it, I'm moving out of this big-city shithole to a small town where people are normal."

I live in the town and she’s so nice. She comes to all of the school sporting events and she’s very supportive.
I was genuinely surprised at this one. Almost everyone was welcoming and new that they could possibly have free press of their business. Poor guy at the end. Made me sad. I hope he's all right. And I'm glad you guys are all right.

Mental illness is difficult to watch and I feel sorry for this poor man. The retired mayor of the town was amazing and really enjoyed listening to her.
He is a junkie , I don't feel sorry for ppl that makes that choice in life , he could get help but doesn't want it !
@@Canuckgirl152 should never look down on others when you don't know their story. Addiction is a fucked up pit of hell that's hard to climb out of. I've seen tons of my family suffer from it. My brother was addicted to meth for years. He climbed out of that pit of hell though and is now clean and working. But even those who want help and to change thier lives.....it's a really fucking hard mountain to climb. Those suffering from addiction shouldn't be looked down on.

He wanted to deliver a messaged without standing in the pattern of a triangle for some reason. I find it interesting that when he sat down the street was empty, the cameraman walked away and when he did a 360° spin there was a car in the street. The guy gets our his car and yells "for what it's worth, I love you shit! HELL YEA!" Then throws up the rock and roll devil horns as a salute.
I really enjoy when people talk to the camera, give info about the town and have a truly positive encounter. It’s what sets you guys apart and ahead of ALL the other guys that do this .

Agreed! She was a nice enough person. But it also seemed like Amy might be a little unstable too. I do wish Jason had more time to talk to her since I got s strong impression that someone may have seriously abused her at some time in her past. There's just something really dark about her mannerisms. Maybe it was controlled/masked Turrets syndrome or maybe she was a former rubber room resident. It's hard to say. Whatever it is, she does seem to have it under control. I'm just saying it's not too hard to break an egg that's already _cracked._

It seems like your approach is a lot better than months ago. You let them know off the rip that you’re making a video about the town and it makes people wanna engage rather than get all pessimistic and uncomfortable. It allows people to open up about their history more! I like watching people get their panties twisted…but I love the positive engagements way more. It makes me proud to know there’s people of all generations who wanna spread kindness!

Love Jason, but unfortunately the chip on his shoulder comes out at the wrong times occasionally. Sometimes he's more willing to put up with silly questions, other times he isnt. This town brought his guard down I think, it seems wonderful

I felt like several people you spoke with initially displayed a mild sense of aggression but quickly changed to a more friendly demeanor once they spoke with you. Very nicely done, sir. Also, I feel like the gentleman towards the end was suffering from a mental disorder of some kind, perhaps brought on by substances, perhaps not, but in either case you handled him respectfully and generously. Like what? The man refused to disengage, and sought the photographer out relentlessly. It was a event of interest, and he reported on it, as well as all the other interactions. He was trying to be kind and polite, but for that situation it was useless. Irrational behavior.
