The business owner in the pink t shirt should have learnt the US laws before he set up his business. Plus HE came up to the camera guy and put his face in front of it. The police guy should look at the video reels to check that pink t shirt man added embellishments to the situation/story while talking to the police on his phone.
That singer is brilliant, love that kind of voice and I could have listened to more of the singing. This video is a good way for them to be discovered too.

The man in the black t shirt who sells soap, his voice goes high pitch every so often. Plus they spent more time outside of their shop instead of inside selling their wares.
It's always interesting to see how different people/shops/businesses react to the camera guy and his son. Some love and welcome it and others hate it.

Those soap salespeople have a lot of predatory practices and they were run out key west by senior citizens with picket signs that said ripoff. I think when Jason says "people who think they're doing something wrong don't want to be filmed" that he is absolutely right in this case.
If you do just a little internet sleuthing, both of the businesses that had issues with filming have scam accusations being made against them.

I very much prefer these “travel” videos over the USPS audits. I can get tired of the post office but these travel videos are always diverse and fun. And I think they much better accomplish the education you value because the people who need it are everywhere. You encounter more people who can learn from the experience and hopefully pass it on. And from an audience perspective I think the street photography is something they can identify with better than the a post office.
Maybe one day you’ll come up to Canada and visit :-)

It is unbelievable how many people lie and say "he put the camera in my face". It literaly NEVER happens.
Then the triggered people will often literally put their camera within 6 inches of the auditors face, and say stupid stuff like "if you can film me, I can film you!", which is obviously true, but they're getting way too close when the auditor never did any such thing.
It seems to be that they always come up to the camera XD

Amagansett, this is too much fun seeing people enraged at you filming in public when, at the same time, they have no problems with 36 cameras at the TSA checkpoint, 15 cameras at the DMV, or 40 cameras at the grocery store! Very entertaining. Please keep up the good work.

Nothing irks me more than when people say, "You put the camera in my face," when you're standing 6 feet away. So much exaggeration and escalation in the attempt to get someone in trouble who is doing nothing wrong. Loved the interactions, the good more than the bad. Keep up the good work guys!

But they are treated not well, over worked and their handlers usually hold on to their passports to prevent their workers from leaving. Also they get paid very little. There have various news reports about this in Israel and the govt promises to do something, but in realty do very little. The handlers are con men and if they do not work in the states, they con people in Israel...usually tourists. It is very sad and it gives Israel and its people a bad name. I might add that the suckers that come and work for them come in on a tourists visa, but work illegally;

Watching from Yosemite Kentucky. Really like what you do promoting the 1st Amendment! Some of these business owners do themselves a great harm by acting so poorly.
We live an hour and a half from Saint Augustine so we regularly go there for the beach and at Christmas to see the lights. I am intimately familiar with the scamming practices of this specific store, they use high-pressure tactics, and they sell cheap products at a ridiculously high price. I think that’s why the guy was nervous because he knows that his business is very sketchy.

One of my favourite parts from Amagansett Press is his ability to put a smile on the faces of those who dont bat an eyelid at what he is doing and for what purpose, and even those that actually show some interest without being demanding.
The simple gensture of telling the lady with her grandaughter that she was just as beautiful can go a long way.

This one showed up on my feed again on Thanksgiving Day23’ and as native born in St. Augustine I know every location filmed. It’s a beautiful city turning into a tourist trap more each year. These store owners are embracing ignorance and a terrible reflection of the community that I grew up in.
