  • Replacing the upper A arm ball joint on a C5 Corvette. There are links below to the ball joints I purchased off amazon and also the ball joint press tool which worked pretty well.

What noise was it making? I have a slight clicking noise only when I back up and turn the wheel to the left. It goes away after I straighten out.

I’d say you got a wheel bearing unit doing bad.

How I know my ball joints it's bad ?

I like to jack up the car so the tire is off of the ground and by using a pry bar under the tire and off the ground lift up and feel for slop in the wheel. You can also shake the wheel too and bottom.
But ultimately if their over 10 years old and 100,000mi it’s time to change them guys out.

@@JWsGarage thanks but if lwant to change the lower one do Ineed to keep the top one connected so Ican disconnect the bottom one while there and replace it there ? Do I need to do alignment after that or no ? Thank you the car have 70 000 km

@@link9alink9a71 no sir. I typically just remove the entire spindle myself, I don’t recall what method I used in this video but it was just one of many ways. But again I like to just get the spindle out of my way most the time. Also some suppliers sell and entire liver A arm really cheap. I think there are links in the video to them as well.
