Hapton to Rishton on the Leeds & Liverpool

Continuing now mission to traverse The Wigan Flight ina small time window, we set off from Hapton, cruise through Church and on to Rishton.
Passing some amazing canalside artwork and massive 19th century coking plant opposite the old Aspen Colliery
Oh and we had a scary issue on board whilst setting off one morning too!

It is quite a scenic stretch and the towpath is quite good even in winter

Thanks for a really interesting video. I live in Lancashire and Church to Rishton is just about the only bit of the L&L Canal that I haven't been to. It's now plotted for a walk!
